Hey guys, you did not actually think I’d allow that 10 year milestone to pass me by without commemorating it in some way, right?! Pish! Perish the thought!
I originally had more lofty plans to celebrate 10 years of blogging, including throwing a little party, but for various reasons, I put those plans to bed (but if you want to help or sponsor something, let’s talk! I can’t do it alone). Instead, I decided to give back to you, lovely readers. And it comes in the form of a humungous beauty hamper.
I’d stopped running giveaways here on MWS for a while now, because they just weren’t appreciated (fact). There, said it, and despite what people kept telling me, it affects how I consider giveaways. But I wanted to find a way to give back, and this was the easiest way.
In this very special My Women Stuff 10th Anniversary giveaway, I have a hamper of full sized beauty products that I specially handpicked from different brands. They are ALL products I personally use and still use and in some cases, use often and keep back ups of. If you’ve been with me, none of them will come as a surprise and you may even find yourself nodding along to each of them, as you would an old friend.
I have 4 5 sets for 4 5 very lucky MWS readers, so here’s what you will stand to win and how you can participate. There is one more opportunity going out, but you’d have to be in the know for that one, so you might want to get on the ball, coz if you’re in the know, you’re in the know! 😉
In this very special giveaway to celebrate 10 years of blogging on My Women Stuff I have specially selected and hand-picked the following gifts worth a little over RM2600 (US$600) made possible thanks to various sponsors named below:-
- Alpha-H Liquid Gold (review) – Sponsored by me because we can’t get this here in Malaysia readily. This is a product I am never without, and one I pick and use often for my lazy evening routine. I always have a bottle on hand, and now you can too! This is the 100ml bottle which will last you a while.
- La Mer The Treatment Lotion (review) – Kindly sponsored by La Mer Malaysia, I specifically requested for this item because I love how it gives my skin that lovely boost of hydration that makes other products work so much more effectively. I believe this will work for most skin types which is why I picked this one. I have back ups, and I rarely ever have back ups of anything!
- Melvita Nectar Supreme La Creme (review) – I’m not that crazy about organic products but when they work, they work! I enjoyed using this cream which is comfortable on my skin and gives it the nourishment it needs and craves in the evening, and it lasts a surprisingly long time. I wasn’t expecting very much, but it impressed me enough to be included in this beauty hamper. Thank you Melvita Malaysia! For oilier skin types, you may want to use just a tiny bit, or reserve it for evening use only.
- Dior J’adore Eau de Toilette (review) – I often say I’m not into floral perfumes or jasmine scents but for some reason, I adore J’Adore by Dior, that is both floral and has jasmine at its heart. But I’ve loved this for years and it’s the one I find myself reaching for the most often as I head out the door. It’s the one I have as a travel purse spray in my daily makeup pouch. It’s the one that makes me feel so lovely and feminine and it’s the one I just knew I wanted you to have. Thank you Dior Malaysia for making that possible! This is the 100ml bottle.
- Guerlain Meteorites Perles (review) – MWS or at least, Paris B is synonymous with Guerlain Meteorites, aren’t I?! I was raving about them and collecting them long before they became the de rigeur prop on Instagram LOL! I love them, and I still love them and every new tub released makes my head swivel around even as I tell myself I don’t actually need more. Thanks to Guerlain Malaysia, you will receive the special edition 30th Anniversary Meteorites, limited edition for Spring 2017. I don’t even own this one! Hmph!
- Dr. Brandt Vitamin C Power Dose serum (review) – I swear, this is the one Vitamin C serum I love and actually saw impressive results with and want to never be without! It’s so bloody effective, but expensive, so when Ken’s Apothecary, local distributors of Dr. Brandt, agreed to my request for sponsorship of this specific product, I was over the moon. You must try this and you lucky ducks will! I have to replenish very soon.
- Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lipstick (review) – Know me long enough and you’d know I love me a good, nourishing, moisturising lipstick. This one from Bobbi Brown impressed me so greatly I not only ended up buying more, I just had to let you try them in my favourite colour, Rosebud! It’s very wearable and will sit well with many people. Don’t blame me if you end up visiting the Bobbi Brown counter to add to your collection! Thank you, Bobbi Brown Malaysia!
- Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen (review) – It’s come to the stage where you shouldn’t even ask me what sunscreen I use because this is the only one I have used for years and for now, appears to be the only one I’ll ever use. If anything, I’ve become synonymous with the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen. If Shiseido reformulates it to the point that I cannot use it anymore, I will cry, I swear! Thank you Shiseido Malaysia for acceding to my request for the one product I am never without and for the product I probably help them sell the most of 😛
- Antipodes Juliet Gel Cleanser (review) – Antipodes Natural Skincare was the brand that revived my confidence in the efficacy of natural and/or organic skincare and this was one of the first products I used and enjoyed. I picked this one because I felt it to be the most universally acceptable for most skin types. It’ll last you a long while and I promise, you will love this as much as I do. Thank you to local distributor, TNS Skinlabs for kindly sponsoring this!
- L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (review) – I was very grateful that L’Occitane Malaysia agreed to sponsor this iconic product, because it is truly one every beauty buff should own or at least try. I love the texture, how it feels, how it smells, everything. It’s one I’ve used for years and will continue using for years to come when I feel like a luxury shower treat. This is the 250ml bottle.
- Caudalie Grape Water Spray (review) – If you think all facial mists or sprays are the same, know that I experienced enough difference in the Caudalie Grape Water Spray to include it in my beauty hamper. It calms my skin, cools it and helps my products and oils absorb more readily. Thank you Caudalie Malaysia and Ken’s Apothecary for being so quick to agree to my request for sponsorship. This is the 200ml large sized can.
- Stickers from Closet Planner Addict – I know how popular planners are today, and cute stickers too; so I commissioned 2 sheets of special edition MWS 10th Anniversary stickers from online sticker shop, Closet Planner Addict, and they were hand delivered all the way from Australia! They are so exclusive you won’t be able to get them anywhere else! Thank you for the hard work, Tine! If you love cute yet practical stickers for your planner, you want to check Closet Planner Addict out. Some of you may recognise the face behind the store, who is my good friend, Tine of Beautyholics Anonymous. I know that some of you have expressed to me your concerns that she’s taken a bit of a hiatus from her beauty blog, but I have spoken to her a few times and been assured that she will return. She just needs a little time to realign so don’t worry – I’ll make sure she comes back 😉
There you have it. 12 very very exclusive items to celebrate and commemorate 10 years of My Women Stuff. I wanted just 10, but it sort of grew of its own accord, and I actually had to stop adding to it or I would never be able to send it out! As it is, I’m hoarding large cardboard boxes and bubble wrap for this purpose LOL! 😀
But what you really want to know is this – HOW DO I ENTER THIS AWESOME JAW-DROPPING GIVEAWAY??

I’m from Ipoh, which is not that far from KL. I’d dearly love to have coffee with you. I’m originally from the Philippines though. The very first time I heard about you was when you were featured in a women’s magazine. I decided to look up your blog, and discovered my skincare guru. I would say my biggest achievement for the past ten years would be my family. The kids have all grown up and graduated. Grandchildren (three of them) done too. 🙂 The very first giveaway I’ve ever won was from you. I won something from the Estee Lauder Nutritious line. I remember I wrote a mini review after. Winning again would be a bonus indeed!

I’m from Hawaii, USA and I think I came upon your blog via a search. In the past 10 years my family has been my biggest personal achievement because I wasn’t sure if I could even have one at all. Thank you for always sharing and congratulations to you!

I’m from New York, USA and I found your blog when I was searching for reviews on Guerlain Meteorites and have been following you since.
My biggest accomplishments are my kids and my oldest is going to college!

Hi PB, congratulations to your 10 years of blogging!! I’m from Penang and I stumbled upon your blog just last year while I was doing Google search over some beauty products and your blog link always came out at the top. Since then I search for product reviews within your blog and I love the way you are thorough, honest and descriptive in your reviews. You are the enabler for me purchasing from Cult Beauty (no regrets) and exploring brands like Antipodes, Alpha-H, REN and Caudalie. I want to thank you for opening the door, introducing me to the various brands which I’ve never even considered of as previously I always confine myself to drug stores and beauty counter products 🙂
My biggest achievement for the past 10 years would be my growing family. I got married in 2008 and now I have 2 healthy and beautiful kids age 6 and 4. If I am allowed to add my personal achievement in terms of beauty, I am proud to say that my skin has reached a near optimum level now after recovering from a serious bout of acne around 10 years ago, thanks to good quality skincare, balanced diet and sufficient rest.
Thanks PB for hosting this giveaway and congrats again! Cheers and looking forward to another 10 years (or more) of your blog!

Hi Paris, first off my heart jumped a beat reading this blogpost. Been a follower of your blog for the past few years. Although my chances are pretty slim as i believe your readers are a plenty, but here goes. *luck be on my side* haha
I’m from subang/ shah alam and i stumbled upon your blog through constant searches on google for product reviews and i kept coming back for more! Simple as that. (Thank you FB updates)
Biggest achievement to me is not so much family/ work related as those will be my daily achievements. But through these 10 years i have struggled to find the right skincare for my adult acne prone skin. Although we have opposite skin types with me being on the oily/combi spectrum, as i age, i notice dryer skin and antiaging skincare is my focus now. Through yourbposts i finally found something that helped me tremendously to reduce my acne. It was the dr.brandt power dose vit c. I havent had any major acne since. Andnilve fone through a bottle on to my next. Thanks Paris B for introducing us to this gem. I didnt know there was such a thing until i read about it.
Please know that healthy radiant skin made was my achievement. It made me a whole lot happier and confident in myself. Your skincare tips are what i hold on to till this very day.
By the way, i got addicted to highend makeup after reading your blog! (Whoops!) Please keep blogging your honest reviews and Happy 10th Blog Anniversary Paris. Much love.

I’m from Malaysia (P.J. to be specific) and I remember stumbling across your blog quite a few years back – around 2010/2011, I think? – when I first started blogging about beauty products. Your blog was one that made really made me go “Woah! I want to be a (beauty) blogger like that!” because of your frank reviews and writing style, which I really enjoyed reading.
As for my personal achievement… well, I was going to say “spontaneous hike up a small hill just to get a better look at Mount Fuji even though I’ve never even hiked anywhere in my entire life and cried on the way up because it was so difficult” (LOL)…..
…but I think my best memories are actually from the times when I was still actively blogging and got to meet and make many friends from the blogging community. It not only encouraged me to pursue a career in online writing, but along the way it also taught (and showed) me both the good and bad side of the media industry (or at least, what I’ve seen of it). Writing is still my love, and I hope one day I’ll be able to pick up my blog and continue writing about the things that I am passionate about. 🙂
Normally I’m a pretty silent reader, but your super massive giveaway clearly managed to draw me out of my shell! 😛 Fingers crossed that lady luck will be on my side. 😀

Hi PB, I am obviously attracted by your giveaway post here 😀 . However, I am genuinely happy for you and appreciate for your effort for running this elegant yet practical beauty blog for continuously 10 years.
Let me introduce myself here. I am Hui Min from Kuala Lumpur and I am 25 years old. I first came across your beauty blog when I was researching for the reviews on Google of a product that I was going to purchase, when I was 17 years old. Your blog appeared to be the first few results in the page so I clicked on it, and from there I started reading your blog.
I will only be honest here. I know you are going to get a lot of compliments (but you really deserve them!) here for how amazing your blog is. It feels like talking to an old friend here as I was too shy to even post a comment underneath your post, worrying that I might caused you extra workloads to check and reply it, haha. However, your blog is truly amazing. And I am telling you the reason now.
I was (and still!) a fan of Taiwan beauty website such as Urcosme when I was younger. They have very complete details of the products and they have ordinary people like us (not social media influencers) to review the products. They listed all the product range, size and price of the products all together. Therefore it is really really convenient for us to decide whether or not to really purchase something. However, some of the details are specified for Taiwan only, and their price stated is in NT$. By the time, there were no Malaysia website stating the prices of the products in ringgit. As far as I remember, most beauty magazines don’t tell their readers the product price too when featuring a product. But you, are the only person who include every product details in your reviews. Price, pros and cons, people who suits the product… these are really helpful for consumer like me. Your honest reviews (regardless of the price and pressure by the brand’s PR) is truly helping us. Reading your blog is enjoying and I could browse your entire blog when I am looking for a beauty item to buy (haha). Affected by you, I am also a fan of red lipstick, La Mer skincare, Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair, Shiseido sunscreen and facial oil. They are pricey but they truly work for me too, and a little amount of product goes a long way.
I noticed that you took a few times of rest in the past years from writing posts. From a reader’s perspective, I will miss you. However, from a friend’s perspective (I am assuming you one of my guides in the beauty world and a friend, as reading your blog is like reading a letter from friend), it is okay for you to take some rest (but not letting the blog rest forever kay). Somehow I feel the external pressure of how people expect beauty bloggers should be like, and should write mostly positive things only about products; Being an honest reviewer nowadays with a mindset close to the ordinary crowd is not easy. Take some rest, if you wish to! We will be waiting for you to come back.
Sorry for nagging too much. Now I will move to your second question. There are two greatest things I achieved in the past 10 years. The very first thing is, I completed my study in the university last year and I managed to get excellent result! My result allows me to waive my PTPTN loan and I am really grateful for this news. 😀 Second, I finally met my Mr Right after so many years of searching and falling (well, I started my journey in quite a young age, 15 y/o), and I am marrying him soon! I am truly blessed for these achievements and thank you, for accompanying me all the way, from my teenage time which was troubled by the attack of pimples, til now where people will praise me for my good skin.
Cheers to the past and future 10 years.
With love,
Hui Min

I live in KL, Malaysia and have been reading your blog since it was named ‘Champagne tastes on a beer budget’!
More than 10 years, eh? ?
I was directed to your blog from MakeupAlley (yeah I’m one of the dinosaurs there as well) and have been a faithful follower ever since! Love your writing style and honest, unbiased reviews.
My biggest achievement so far? Being a working mum! It is not a bed of roses and I’m always learning how to best balance the 2 biggest priorities in my life, but it has honestly shown me that women are the backbone of any organisation, in addition to being the centre of your child’s universe ?

Morning PB! I’m so excited to see your 10 years achievement in MWS, it is such a beautiful and proud milestone. Indeed, you are my inspiration since i started following you few years ago. I am originated from a small fishing village but now striving in KL. You inspired me to go further and made me believe that we deserved to be pampered. I am thankful for the past 10 years in shaping me to become who i wished to be 10 years ago. I might not achieve much, but i am contented to be gifted wisdom, enriched soul and blessed body. Cheers to your 10 years milestone.

1) I’m from Malaysia! I started reading your blog since my uni days (nearly 10 years ago!) but I don’t quite remember how I stumbled upon your blog. Oops. Good memory is not my best asset of late. I suspect I might’ve been searching for a review on a beauty product and your blog popped up. What I DO remember though is loving how your reviews were written in a clear and concise manner with both the good and the bad of each product are laid out! Your posts always gave off a very sincere vibe unlike other bloggers and I always looked forward to every new posting you put up.
2) Nothing trumps the joy and happiness that my baby boy brings to our lives on a daily basis. Every time I look at him I’m amazed at how my body managed to conceive, carry and deliver this perfect being to this world. (Can you imagine? How did it all this come to be from just two little cells? It’s practically like magic!) What’s even more amazing is how I somehow managed to fall into this motherhood role so easily despite my earlier reservations that I would be an utterly lousy and hopeless mother. Let’s hope that I don’t mess this up. =D

Celebrating 10 years is a HUGE achievement! And Congrats to that! 😀 I hail from Kuala Lumpur and I remember coming across your blog a few years back when I wanted reviews on some beauty products I wanted to purchase at the time. Your opinions have been honest and that’s what makes me return to your beauty blog.
Now to shift through my memories of the last 10 years, it certainly had its ups & downs! Being able to face those hurdles and resurface has been an achievement on its own. A significant personal achievement would have to be setting up my own cafe; leaving my corporate life and doing something out of my comfort zone. Although I do not have it anymore, at least I tried. I look back on it fondly; I went out there and I did it! Now onto the next 10 years 🙂

Good morning, Paris!
Congrats on your 10th year anniversary!! Your blog is the only beauty blog i read daily (Mon to Fri!!!), and i followed (purchase and purchase) religiously what you recommended here. In fact, i think most of my makeup and beauty care purchases are based on on your reviews!
I’m from Singapore and i came across your blog, about 4.5 years ago thru random searching. That was the time when i started playing with makeup, and needed honest reviews on what works and what not. So, i’ve been a faithful reader of your blog ever since.
Greatest achievement? I can’t say it’s the ” greatest”, but trying my best to keep fit and going to gym and doing leisure jogging is my achievement (so to speak). i used to be a 101% couch potato and i’m a ” won’t walk when i can sit, wont run if i can walk” type of lazy bum. But it suddenly struck me one day that this is not going to work, and to live healthier is a responsibility and duty to myself. Thus, i have been seriously working out for the past one year or so, often choosing to walk if it’s short distance, say within 30 mins, or walk up the stairs when there is chance. i did not lose much weight. but i felt better, and more energetic now after sweating out.
This is a drastic change for me. Family members and close friends don’t believed that i can actually be active and get my butt moving… its an achievement for me, for sure! hahaa
Thanks

Hi Paris
I am from Melaka and read your blog since 2009. I just graduated from US back then and was missing the Sephora. Googled up few stuff and stumbled upon yours. Through you I was living the make up world and was picking through stuff I could and could not afford.
I was an avid Clinique user back and compact powder. Thanks to you I’ve switch to liquid foundation. My first was the Chanel Vitalumiere before it was too expensive.
Anyway, it’s not my biggest but it’s my fondest. My boss sent me to UK to work with Airbus for a couple months for some recovery thing. I was by myself and was feeling miserable sometime. I was barely 2-3 months into the job. It was cold, rainy & there was barely sunshine. The people over there doesn’t seem to do lunch either. It was really a trying period as it was very very different from US weather.Food was different. I miss the sweet pancakes. I’ve never been to UK at that point.
Everything come out great in the end and I reward myself with buying Radley purse. My boss gave me a trip to Seville visiting supplier as a pretext to reward me.
Anyway thanks to you, I do believe I end up with better skin compare to my friends since I am religious about using serum and sunscreen. Camouflaging with a little bit Meteorites do help too : )
Happy 10 years!

Hi, congrats on your 10th year anniversary! 🙂
I currently lives in New York, but am originally from Taiwan. I don’t remember exactly how I stumbled upon your blog, but it is definitely because I was searching for product review/swatches. I find almost all the beauty blogs that I’ve subscribed to that way haha.
The biggest achievement so far in my life. Now that is a really tough one. Because of the nature of my job, I’ve been absolutely overworked and beaten down by the long hours since January, and I’m not feeling really accomplished at the moment. If I have to say one, it’s landing my current job at a big and prestige firm right my first heartbreak. That was the lowest point in my life, to lose someone that I love from betrayal. I had zero confidence that time, so getting that job was definitely a boost in my confidence and helped me slowly back to my feet. I am really happy that I was able to conquer that.

Ah Paris, you are a gem! I ‘m not sure how long I have been following your blog, but is a long time-easily 6 or 8 years. I love your honesty and spirit. I probably found you when I searched Google for product reviews. I always look forward to your posts so much. I live in Chicago, Illinois, USA. As far as biggest achievement, that is a tough one, but I guess it is getting to be the mom of two amazing children who are now incredible young adults, about to embark on their own independent lives. Congrtulations on the 10 year anniversary and for sharing your life with us.

Hi Paris!
I’m from PJ and I hope I win so I get to meet you for tea!
Stumbled on your blog when I was googling about a product about five or six years ago I think, and felt an instant connection to you. Plus, reading reviews from a local blog in good English was like a breath of fresh air I tell you.
I remember your year end post about kicking ass in 2017 and it was my desire too, and I’m proud to say I started my year by doing just that! You see, I’ve been with the same company for 19 years, ever since I graduated, but I’ve recently plucked up the courage to venture out and will be starting a new job at the end of April! Of course I had the opportunity to wear several different hats throughout my time in the company but I am very excited to be able to try something a little different. The whole experience wasn’t as daunting as I had expected. And I have a good feeling about it, so it’s a milestone I personally celebrate. Not sure if my biggest achievement here is sticking with the same company for 19 years or having the courage to finally venture out ! You decide for me, haha. Congrats again on turning 10!

Hi Paris, I’m from the U.S.A. (Virginia) and found MWS after combing the Internet for Asian beauty bloggers. I can relate to your preferences and I also appreciate that you’re not in your early twenties like some of the other beauty bloggers I follow.
My biggest accomplishment is learning who I am and embracing that circumstances don’t change my identity. I considered talking about my kids & my marriage, and my work… but like everything else on earth (including physical beauty & health), those can all change in in the blink of an eye. Being content–no matter what–is my greatest accomplishment.
Thanks!

Congrats again on a decade of blogging!
1. I’m from up north Penang. I found your blog some 5 to 6 years ago while researching some skin care product. I can’t be certain but I think it might have been The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Skin Boost! I’ve been hooked since and your blog is one of the few I reference whenever I’m shopping around for new skincare.
2. The biggest achievement for me in the past decade was definitely pushing myself to take that first solo trip in 2009. Being an introvert, that first trip was a huge hurdle to get past especially because many blogs for solo travel tended to talk about “meeting new people” as being one of the major attractions of solo travel.
Since then, I’ve religious travelled alone annually. I’ve learned that it’s perfectly fine to not meet new people on those travels but instead be enthralled by the beautiful architecture in the cities I visited; to eat meals in a restaurant alone; to ask for help from total strangers; to choose to visit cities where English isn’t widely spoken.
Solo travel has taught me to introspect and discovers bits of myself that I might otherwise never have if I had hadn’t taken time out from the whirlwind of life. It has helped me to understand my strengths as well as vulnerabilities and most importantly, accept them as a part of me. And it has helped me overcome those vulnerabilities by being a motivating factor to push boundaries.

Hi Paris I am from Alor Setar. Stumbled upon your blog as i became more conscious of skin care and makeup at the late age of 40. So three years ago. Binge read most tof your older posts. Not on any other social platform. So I read your blog regularly. Well my biggest accomplishment in last ten years is completing my postgraduate studies in Radiology in USM Kota Bharu juggling kids and family. Had twins during my third year and travelling forthnightly as hubby was stationed in Ipoh and Alor Star along the years. And biggest achievement was leaving the twins at three months to complete my course and travelling weekly with expressed breast milk. Dont know how I did it but here i am in a better position now able to enjoy the luxuries of skin care and makeup…
Congrats on the 10 years.
Sheer number of comments speaks volume about the strength of your blog. Enuf said I think.

Hi!
I LOVE anything and everything to do with makeup and beauty products. I’m an addict but I do like to research products before I splurge my money and you are my go to for all reviews and your word is what makes my purchase decisions!
I believe your page came up on a google search of products in Malaysia and I’ve been a follower since!
My greatest achievement in the past 10 years would definitely be the 2 yellow roses given to me by my 2 girls saying they love me! Which made me forget all the career and personal sacrifices that I’ve had to make to make sure I can give my 100% to my kids and bring them up as good human beings!
I live in PJ and would love to have coffee with u…anytime!
Love.
