1 dropper of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchroized Multi-Recovery Complex serum and you can just call it a night

March 8, 2021 Paris B 4 Comments

It’s probably no secret that I’m a fan of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum. I know it’s not everyone’s favourite, and I often get people telling me they don’t understand why I like it, or that it is overpriced.

But it’s a product that’s consistently worked for me, and it’s one that I find pleasure in using. So really, it should just be that – different products work for different people!

Some time last year, the iconic little brown bottle underwent another reformulation. Truth to tell, I’ve lost count. I think the last one was the Synchronized Recovery Complex II? Or am I mistaken?

Anyway, the new version of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum is now called Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex, and I was kindly gifted a bottle a long while ago to have a go. Yes, I’m tardy, it’s a flaw 😛

I was curious just how the reformulation (if that) might make this iconic serum feel any different on skin, especially since I haven’t used it for a while.

If looking for an affordable serum that protects, brightens and repairs skin the Yeouth Vitamin C & E Serum is worth considering

March 1, 2021 Paris B Leave a Comment

I picked up the Yeouth Vitamin C & E Serum on iHerb without knowing too much about it. It was one of those purchases on a whim, if you may.

It was pretty affordable, and I’m always curious about a new Vitamin C serum. But primarily, it was affordable, and as much as I love my luxury skincare products, I too love a good budget find! 😀

Incidentally, I’ve been approached by Yeouth to ‘review’ their products, for which they offered me credit to purchase on iHerb, and then post a review of it. I declined the offer as it was far too much trouble than it was worth. The products aren’t very expensive, and I had already purchased them anyway. However, this has resulted in my viewing online and Instagram reviews of Yeouth products with a jaundiced eye. Most people will not disclose this fact of ‘sponsorship’ and while I have nothing against it, I do think it is appropriate to disclose it for transparency, so readers are able to better evaluate your review.

And now, on to what I think of the Yeouth Vitamin C & E Serum 🙂

Wearing makeup again and absolutely loving the Shiseido Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush

February 18, 2021 Paris B 4 Comments

Goodness, when was the last time I reviewed a makeup product?! (I checked. It was February 2020 – a year ago!) It’s hard to review something when you don’t use it, and makeup has been something I’ve forsaken for the better part of a year.

But recently, I decided to put on a little when I go out, just to keep my hand in, and my eye fell on a tub of Shiseido Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush I bought 2 years back and never used. Thanks, lockdown LOL!

Well, I’m here to tell you that if you too are starting to get back on the makeup bicycle, and are looking around for an easy to use, pretty blush, I’d highly recommend this one from Shiseido – totally blew me away! 😀

For a moisturizing, radiant glow, I gave the Sunday Riley CEO Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil a shot!

February 4, 2021 Paris B 6 Comments

I love me a good facial oil, and anything with Vitamin C. And I also thoroughly enjoyed using the Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Serum. One of the complementary items in the CEO range was the Sunday Riley CEO Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil, and when I bought my trial kit a while ago, a deluxe sample size came with it.

I believe Sunday Riley had the CEO Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil first, before they came out with the Vitamin C serum. It was one of those things I’d been meaning to try for the longest time.

Now that I have, was it worth the wait? 😀

Famous last words 😅 Can’t believe how tiny he was last CNY. I could make him do whatever I wanted. Now, he’s got a mind of his own and it’s “no treats, no work!” 🤪
It’s an unusual Chinese New Year this year. It’s the first time since I left home that I did not make an early morning drive home for CNY for the reunion dinner (I always do so to beat traffic). It’s the first time I’m spending CNY in KL. It’s the first time my hair is looking such a mess for CNY 😂
Regardless, we do this not for ourselves but for others so we can have more joyful CNY celebrations to come.
Wishing all of you a Happy, healthy Chinese New Year filled with Ox-picious tidings 🧧 Gong Xi Fa Cai and enjoy the festive break! ❤️
