The Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum joins the legions of Vitamin C serums to try

November 7, 2022 Paris B Leave a Comment

murad vita-c glycolic brightening serum

I’m a huge huge fan of Vitamin C serums, as many of you know, but I had not been using one in my skincare routine for a while. I put it down to laziness.

Wot? Me, lazy?

Yes, it happens to the best of us 😛

I try not to stockpile Vitamin C serums, because it’s quite an unstable ingredient, if served at maximum potency. Extremely effective, but unstable.

When doing my skincare audit of my stash, which I do from time to time, I dug out the Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum. Incidentally, when I shared a picture of it on Instagram recently, there was so much interest in it, I just had to bump up my review 😀

Inspired by laser treatments and skin peels, the Filorga Skin-Unify Intensive Illuminating serum does what it promises on the bottle

April 19, 2022 Paris B Leave a Comment

I don’t usually use any skincare product that promises brightening or illuminating properties anymore, ever since I started using Vitamin C serums. They do all of that, and don’t dry out my skin, while most brightening or illuminating products do (in my experience).

However, when presented with the Filorga Skin-Unify Intensive Illuminating serum, I decided to make a wee exception, for selfish reasons – I generally like Filorga products!

Let’s just say that I wasn’t sure what to expect, but that I really liked my experience with this serum, and it does do what it says on the bottle, without drying out the skin 🙂

Natural, Vegan and Pure Molten Gold – The Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum ticks all the right boxes!

April 11, 2022 Paris B 1 Comment

Since being introduced to Antipodes Skincare back in 2012, I’d watched the brand grow, with a lot of interest. It’s a brand of skincare that I particularly enjoy using, and one of very few organic and natural skincare brands that I have no hesitation telling people about, simply because it does the job, and then some!

They’ve introduced quite a few new products in recent times, and one that piqued by interest was the Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum. We all know how I am about a Vitamin C serum! I’m mad for them!

What interested me more than another new Vitamin C serum, was that the Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum is made from a natural source of Vitamin C – kakadu plum.

I was a little sceptical if it’s better than chemically derived Vitamin C, I must admit, but in my books, anything from one of my favourite brands is worth a try! 🙂

Is the new Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Premium Essence better than the regular version?

November 29, 2021 Paris B 10 Comments

A little while ago, I shared a brand of Vitamin C serum that I found terribly effective. It was so effective (and affordable) that I was quite loathe to share my little find with everyone. Sometimes, I’m selfish like that.

It was the Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Essence, or also known as the Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot essence.

Earlier this year, I was browsing a Japanese website, and stumbled on a new, upgraded version, and decided to buy it to try. All this, without understanding quite what it was, or how it was different. I can be a little impulsive like that 😀

Not very long after I received it, I received a tube from the brand locally, because, as luck would have it, the Melano CC Vitamin C Brightening Premium Essence (aka Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Premium Essence as it’s known in Japan) is available in Malaysia!

I’ve almost finished using 1 tube, and truth to tell, I was struggling to form an opinion on it.
