Hello and welcome! 

I’m keeping the introduction below, because this is what My Women Stuff used to be. I started out in 2007, and I blogged consistently all the way to 2024, when I fell off the radar. When you turn half a century, live through a pandemic and your life starts taking on new challenges, activities, responsibilities and challenges, the last thing that was on my mind was “What is the newest beauty release?” In fact, I have no idea anymore about what’s happening in the beauty scene, which is awkward, for a website that used to be dedicated to beauty, and talking about it.

In 2026, I decided to return, not to ‘revive’ this website, but merely to write. It is and has always been my space to spill some thoughts, to write, and to just be me. So, My Women Stuff is a blog – it could be about beauty, or it could be a rant, or it could be an observation about life post-50.

It isn’t a beauty blog anymore. It’s just ‘stuff’.

I’m Paris B – the beauty blogger behind My Women Stuff, and I have been here since 9 March 2007, which makes us a pioneer in the beauty blogging scene, and positively ancient in internet years.

My focus here at My Women Stuff has shifted slightly over the years as my interests have broadened and personal goals and challenges have evolved. My age has also increased correspondingly with the age of the blog, so my focus is now on writing about what it feels to be in your 40’s and up, and what works for more matured women.

It has struck me that the obsession with youth continues unabated, and can be rather unhealthy. So, I’m here to break that mould. I’m approaching 50 in 2024, and I’m not afraid to say so. Growing old is a privilege, and it is one I cheerfully embrace, even as I embark on the new and different tangents of my life.

I will still share product reviews for people who are older and have more matured skin types – dry, lined, aging. I will share musings and thoughts about how it feels growing older, or observations about what helps me stop creaking around the joints, and what keeps me mentally active 😀

My Women Stuff used to welcome a wide breadth of products to try and review. We no longer do.

While I appreciate any attention from brands or PR companies, my time is now limited as I grow and pursue new businesses and challenges. I am happy to work with anyone who has flexibility and who appreciates candour, straight-talking and hard-hitting facts, and who understands that My Women Stuff is not at the center of my life nor does it form my being.

I am happy to work with brands that want to capture the market of older, more matured women who have short shrift for marketing talk and over-promises. The over 40’s are a force to be reckoned with, if you know how to reach them, and I’m happy to work with anyone who focuses on the long-term goals, not on short-term gains.

On a personal basis, I am now a Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist, and my focus is on growing my pet business. My Women Stuff remains an important part of my life, but is no longer at the center of my life as it used to be. It is quite refreshing to say so! 🙂

Looking back on almost 2 decades of beauty blogging has brought me much attention and it was glamourous while it lasted. But we evolve over time, and we grow, and my blog will evolve and grow with me.
