I love (Rouge Coco) Paris in the Springtime and in the Fall

March 16, 2010 Paris B 37 Comments

Chanel Rouge Coco No. 22 Paris Lip Swatch

I couldn’t wait. I had to dig right into my Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick today and although detractors might say that red lipsticks should be kept for the night, I say bring it on whatever the time of day!

Yesterday’s swatches were a little dark so I took it out into natural light today (and its still a little dark 😛 ) and I give you a lip swatch of Chanel Rouge Coco Paris (I know you’re looking out for this one Yani!).

The lip swatch was done with just 1 swipe of Rouge Coco Paris straight from the tube. Yes its crazy pigmented and I love it! Its blue-based and to my rather discerning eye, not fuchsia at all. On me, its a straight red. It also lasts and does not slip around plus it feels weightless on my lips, does not dry out my lips, does not bleed and feather and has no scent. Everything one can look for in a lipstick 😀 I want more and I know I will get more once it gets here.

I actually wore this to work with a simple Parisian inspired FOTD as you see below 🙂

Well, ok the only thing “Parisian” about it is the beret and the fact I’m all in black and no, I did not wear the beret out – it was a prop hehe…

With the Rouge Coco lipstick so strong on my lips, I went simple on the rest of my face. If you are interested, here’s what I used.

Face: Shu Uemura Face Architect powder foundation, Guerlain Meteorites loose balls

Cheeks: MAC Porcelain Pink MSF

Eyes: Dior Silver Look duo eyeshadow, Beautilicious magic spell eyeliner, Dior Extase mascara, brows Shu Uemura brow pencil

Lips: Chanel Rouge Coco Paris No. 22

Spritz on some Dior Miss Dior Cherie perfume and I was good to go!

I’m glad I wore Paris on my lips today. I came into the office a little late and since this morning, its just all gone downhill from here. Sigh…

Nothing better than a brilliant red lippie to boost up the flagging spirit!

Viva la Paris!

Nice! Really looks like the classic Chanel lady. The kind of impression Coco Chanel gives. =)

Hi lemon! LOL… Let me take a walk later and see how many guys i “shock” eh? 😉 Oh here’s the beautiful thing about Rouge Coco Paris. Because it has blue tones, it helps make your teeth look whiter 😀 So no, I don’t have super white teeth but Paris makes it look that way – try it! 😉

Pretty Paris!! I mean the both of ’em too! And now I agree to the saying that blue-toned lipstick makes your teeth look whiter, hehe. Ah, you are so lucky because red agrees with you, hehehe. I shall stick to my nude pinks…

Yes blue toned lipstick does help make yellowish teeth look whiter. Its a matter of finding a red that suits you – try it and you’ll be surprised 🙂

Ooh la la! Very Parisian of you, PB! Love the all black outfit with the beret topper… now, if only we could actually wear fashionable headgear out in Malaysia without looking like foreign wannabes… 😛

I still find it a bit strange how Paris (the lipstick) looks fuschia in the pictures of Sandra Bullock but straight up red on you…

HAHA! Yes! I’d love to wear a beret out although I’d get a million stares. I think the lipstick looked fuchsia on Sandra Bullock due to lighting and her colouring. In the panned out pictures of her, it looks quite red.

Your pendant also adds to the parisian chic!
I for one cannot pull of red lipstick. I’m more of a lip gloss girl 🙂
But you look great with red lipstick!

    I’m quite bad with makeup.
How u apply the lippie ya?
Because it looks really smooth on ur lip.
    Do u use lip brush/liner?
