Hey guys, you did not actually think I’d allow that 10 year milestone to pass me by without commemorating it in some way, right?! Pish! Perish the thought!
I originally had more lofty plans to celebrate 10 years of blogging, including throwing a little party, but for various reasons, I put those plans to bed (but if you want to help or sponsor something, let’s talk! I can’t do it alone). Instead, I decided to give back to you, lovely readers. And it comes in the form of a humungous beauty hamper.
I’d stopped running giveaways here on MWS for a while now, because they just weren’t appreciated (fact). There, said it, and despite what people kept telling me, it affects how I consider giveaways. But I wanted to find a way to give back, and this was the easiest way.
In this very special My Women Stuff 10th Anniversary giveaway, I have a hamper of full sized beauty products that I specially handpicked from different brands. They are ALL products I personally use and still use and in some cases, use often and keep back ups of. If you’ve been with me, none of them will come as a surprise and you may even find yourself nodding along to each of them, as you would an old friend.
I have 4 5 sets for 4 5 very lucky MWS readers, so here’s what you will stand to win and how you can participate. There is one more opportunity going out, but you’d have to be in the know for that one, so you might want to get on the ball, coz if you’re in the know, you’re in the know! 😉
In this very special giveaway to celebrate 10 years of blogging on My Women Stuff I have specially selected and hand-picked the following gifts worth a little over RM2600 (US$600) made possible thanks to various sponsors named below:-
- Alpha-H Liquid Gold (review) – Sponsored by me because we can’t get this here in Malaysia readily. This is a product I am never without, and one I pick and use often for my lazy evening routine. I always have a bottle on hand, and now you can too! This is the 100ml bottle which will last you a while.
- La Mer The Treatment Lotion (review) – Kindly sponsored by La Mer Malaysia, I specifically requested for this item because I love how it gives my skin that lovely boost of hydration that makes other products work so much more effectively. I believe this will work for most skin types which is why I picked this one. I have back ups, and I rarely ever have back ups of anything!
- Melvita Nectar Supreme La Creme (review) – I’m not that crazy about organic products but when they work, they work! I enjoyed using this cream which is comfortable on my skin and gives it the nourishment it needs and craves in the evening, and it lasts a surprisingly long time. I wasn’t expecting very much, but it impressed me enough to be included in this beauty hamper. Thank you Melvita Malaysia! For oilier skin types, you may want to use just a tiny bit, or reserve it for evening use only.
- Dior J’adore Eau de Toilette (review) – I often say I’m not into floral perfumes or jasmine scents but for some reason, I adore J’Adore by Dior, that is both floral and has jasmine at its heart. But I’ve loved this for years and it’s the one I find myself reaching for the most often as I head out the door. It’s the one I have as a travel purse spray in my daily makeup pouch. It’s the one that makes me feel so lovely and feminine and it’s the one I just knew I wanted you to have. Thank you Dior Malaysia for making that possible! This is the 100ml bottle.
- Guerlain Meteorites Perles (review) – MWS or at least, Paris B is synonymous with Guerlain Meteorites, aren’t I?! I was raving about them and collecting them long before they became the de rigeur prop on Instagram LOL! I love them, and I still love them and every new tub released makes my head swivel around even as I tell myself I don’t actually need more. Thanks to Guerlain Malaysia, you will receive the special edition 30th Anniversary Meteorites, limited edition for Spring 2017. I don’t even own this one! Hmph!
- Dr. Brandt Vitamin C Power Dose serum (review) – I swear, this is the one Vitamin C serum I love and actually saw impressive results with and want to never be without! It’s so bloody effective, but expensive, so when Ken’s Apothecary, local distributors of Dr. Brandt, agreed to my request for sponsorship of this specific product, I was over the moon. You must try this and you lucky ducks will! I have to replenish very soon.
- Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lipstick (review) – Know me long enough and you’d know I love me a good, nourishing, moisturising lipstick. This one from Bobbi Brown impressed me so greatly I not only ended up buying more, I just had to let you try them in my favourite colour, Rosebud! It’s very wearable and will sit well with many people. Don’t blame me if you end up visiting the Bobbi Brown counter to add to your collection! Thank you, Bobbi Brown Malaysia!
- Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen (review) – It’s come to the stage where you shouldn’t even ask me what sunscreen I use because this is the only one I have used for years and for now, appears to be the only one I’ll ever use. If anything, I’ve become synonymous with the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen. If Shiseido reformulates it to the point that I cannot use it anymore, I will cry, I swear! Thank you Shiseido Malaysia for acceding to my request for the one product I am never without and for the product I probably help them sell the most of 😛
- Antipodes Juliet Gel Cleanser (review) – Antipodes Natural Skincare was the brand that revived my confidence in the efficacy of natural and/or organic skincare and this was one of the first products I used and enjoyed. I picked this one because I felt it to be the most universally acceptable for most skin types. It’ll last you a long while and I promise, you will love this as much as I do. Thank you to local distributor, TNS Skinlabs for kindly sponsoring this!
- L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (review) – I was very grateful that L’Occitane Malaysia agreed to sponsor this iconic product, because it is truly one every beauty buff should own or at least try. I love the texture, how it feels, how it smells, everything. It’s one I’ve used for years and will continue using for years to come when I feel like a luxury shower treat. This is the 250ml bottle.
- Caudalie Grape Water Spray (review) – If you think all facial mists or sprays are the same, know that I experienced enough difference in the Caudalie Grape Water Spray to include it in my beauty hamper. It calms my skin, cools it and helps my products and oils absorb more readily. Thank you Caudalie Malaysia and Ken’s Apothecary for being so quick to agree to my request for sponsorship. This is the 200ml large sized can.
- Stickers from Closet Planner Addict – I know how popular planners are today, and cute stickers too; so I commissioned 2 sheets of special edition MWS 10th Anniversary stickers from online sticker shop, Closet Planner Addict, and they were hand delivered all the way from Australia! They are so exclusive you won’t be able to get them anywhere else! Thank you for the hard work, Tine! If you love cute yet practical stickers for your planner, you want to check Closet Planner Addict out. Some of you may recognise the face behind the store, who is my good friend, Tine of Beautyholics Anonymous. I know that some of you have expressed to me your concerns that she’s taken a bit of a hiatus from her beauty blog, but I have spoken to her a few times and been assured that she will return. She just needs a little time to realign so don’t worry – I’ll make sure she comes back 😉
There you have it. 12 very very exclusive items to celebrate and commemorate 10 years of My Women Stuff. I wanted just 10, but it sort of grew of its own accord, and I actually had to stop adding to it or I would never be able to send it out! As it is, I’m hoarding large cardboard boxes and bubble wrap for this purpose LOL! 😀
But what you really want to know is this – HOW DO I ENTER THIS AWESOME JAW-DROPPING GIVEAWAY??
To enter here’s what you have to do:
- Leave a comment below telling me where you hail from and how you stumbled on my blog, if you remember (simply because I’m curious how far MWS reaches) ; AND

Hi PB! Congrats on your blog’s 10th anniversary-what an achievement it has been!! *throws confetti*
I first came across your blog while searching for good sunscreen recommendations. I got really hooked on your blog (i.e. bookmarking your site and checking it everyday) ever since I saw you v-logging during the Laneige event! I was getting tired of those young beauty bloggers/influencers in SG rehashing the same old PR crap so I found your intelligent writing and honest opinions such a breath of fresh air. It helps that most of the products you recommended could be easily found in SG too 🙂 Rmb the Catrice Denim Divine eyeshadow palette? Thanks for being such a great enabler 😉
My greatest achievements so far has been mainly academic- I’ve studied in UK for 4 years on a scholarship and am now back in SG working as a hospital pharmacist. I really enjoy my work and I feel immense pride everyday knowing that I have helped made a difference in improving the care of my patients.
I would love to win the hamper so that I get to pamper myself! As healthcare professionals, we work 6 days a week you know :’) But if I have to choose only 1 item from the hamper, I would pick the stickers! Those are truly limited edition haha!

I stumbled upon you recently searching for reviews on the Chanel blue serum. My biggest achievement (in ten years and of all time) is definitely my family! I have five under 6 and they’re all turning out semi-ok 😉

Dear Paris, I am Cindy from KL, and I stumbled upon your blog when I was venturing into the beauty world and was googling for a local Malaysian beauty blogger. Undoubtedly there are so many youtubers/ bloggers from the western continent but their products aren’t readily available here. I found your website and got hooked ever since because
1/ you write about products available in Malaysia
2/ i come to know which products from far away continents which work and will be worth the shipping fare
3/ you place emphasis on hydration, and sunscreen when it comes to skincare- I tried out the Antipodes Worship Serum/ Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate because of you, and loving both. I also love that we have the same skin type, loving cleansing oils at first and then shying away from them because they strip the skin and break me out
My greatest achievement was finding that happiness comes from within. I separated from my long term partner of seven years. I was bitter and miserable because he cheated on me with a younger girl, which made me feel undesirable. After a long period of self blame, I was able to find happiness again and found my pillars of support- my parents. No matter how old, I’ll always remain a child to them and will always be pampered with unconditional love. I started counting my blessings and thinking positively, and have started to see the positive effects of doing just that. I went on to obtain a post graduate degree, and secured a well paid job which made me financially independent. I signed up for swimming and dancing lessons to keep my single weekends busy and fulfilling. Life’s great! I’m happy on my own and feel beautiful and confident again. 🙂

Hi Paris, I’m from Singapore, started following you on Twitter for some years now, cant recall how. Maybe someone RT’ed your giveaway back then? (it has been that long. =D). Then it slowly progressed to IG, reading about new launches you attend, and I particularly like reading your reviews, cos you often compare the product vs. something you might already have, and this gives me a better picture/view. I also like the information pieces such as the one on Silicone.
Happy 10th Anniversary to MWS and thanks for your work (and this giveaway of course)!
I suppose my biggest personal achievement in the past 10 years would be my appearance on main media platforms. Her World and Simply Her for “Reader’s makeover”, short interview in TV news during an event, and the most recent advertisement by British Council on facebook and newspaper. This happened by chance that they selected a past event photo to use for advertising.
A pity that all these are unpaid, but it was fun being “model for a day”. =)

I’m from Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor and I stumbled upon your blog about the time Guerlain Meteorites Paris/Crazy edition (the one in black tin) launched; and have been following you ever since. To be honest, your blog is my go-to review when buying new beauty product(s) because I think we have the same skin condition (except that you’re a shade fairer). And I would love to meet you in real life to prove my point (and maybe pull your arms for tips of how to look younger than your age).
I love how you keep your blog ‘clean’ and oh so easy to find reviews (by brand? type of product? yes please!) but what I like the most is the PRICE of each product is clearly stated at the end of your review! (hello, frugalicious girls always win!)
My greatest achievement? To own my very first landed property before I reach 30!

Hi Paris!
I’m from Penang (thus I tend to comment more on those posts when you visited – bias, I know).
Anyway, I stumbled upon MWS probably 7 or 8 years ago (I’m not sure though) when I googled for reviews on the Hada Labo Lotion. I was green (and I mean GREEN) to the world of skin care, and wanted to start taking care of my skin (I was 21 or 22 then – I kind of “matured” with you). It’s from this lovely blog that I learnt how to take care of my skin. I e-mail you a couple of times for advice and you never disappoint with your opinion.
Also, it was you who made me put on sunblock (now religiously) and getting me on the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen bandwagon with your constant mentioning of it, and I’d like to thank you for that (now, if only I could start applying sunblock on my body, haha).
My biggest achievement thus far has mainly been academic, and learning to take better care of my health. After finishing high school, I got to public university. Then, it was graduating 1st Class, which had my PTPTN loan converted into a scholarship. After that, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Literature (murder mysteries, FTW) with scholarship as well.
I quickly got my first REAL job, lecturing. I was really happy with what I was doing… until I fell sick, and quickly, realllly sick. It was then I had to stop working and allow my body to heal itself from inside out. I realised that I needed to take better care of myself, prioritising on health rather than physical achievements. One year later, I am in a different industry altogether. It’s not what I had imagined, but I enjoy what I’m doing and I’m in a good and happy place in my life; and that’s what matter most. <3 🙂
I hope I'm lucky enough to be one of the winners, so I can try some of the products, and get a back-up of the sunscreen, and also to share the gifts with my mum (I bet she'll request for the perfume). 😛
Lastly, congratulations on your milestone. 10 years is really something! 😀 Sending positive thoughts to you! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hi Paris! I’m from Malaysia too~ I came across your blog when I was searching for Malaysian bloggers’ reviews on makeups. I like your reviews because 1st we share the same skin tone and skin type, 2nd your reviews are so details and true, 3rd is the price that you written down (not much bloggers do that), so I can always rely on your reviews and plan on my beauty budget.
My biggest achievement in the past 10 years would be graduated from University and on my way in getting my pharmacist’s licence.
Hope to meet you in person one day! 😛
Happy 10th years blogging!!!

Hello P.
I am from US(san francisco, CA).
I came across your blog about 3-4 years ago when I was searching for reviews on Japanese foundation.
I have been enjoying your honest opinion ever since.
Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary.

Hello PB! Congratulations on your 10 years of blogging!!
I’m from Greece, Europe. I stumbled upon your blog just last year while researching reviews for Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen and whether or not it was worth the hipe and the money. Since I am a university student I have to save to purchase skincare and cosmetics even if I believe it’s worth it, it’s still quite the splurge. I like the way you review the products, it helps me decide if I should buy it. I have been struggling with acne for a long time so I always pay attention to what I put on my skin.
My biggest personal achievement in the past 10 years would be getting accepted into the university of my first choice!!

Greetings, Paris! This is Bobby (@skintrovert on Instagram) commenting all the way from snowy Ontario, Canada (and I’ve had it with this crummy weather). 😉 I first stumbled onto your beautiful blog when I was looking up reviews on a product from Dior’s Diorsnow line. Even though I didn’t end up purchasing the product (because of your in-depth and honest review), the quality of your writing hooked me into reading more and more. Eventually I followed you on Instagram, and the rest is history, as they say! I cherish our friendship a great deal and I feel fortunate to know you. I hold MWS in the top tier of my recommended blogs because your content is always the cream of the crop while maintaining your sharp wit, honesty, and integrity with each post. Thank you for that, as both a reader and friend. I would say my biggest personal achievement in the past 10 years has been graduating from University. It was a long and arduous journey, and although I am currently not using my degree (Biology) for anything meaningful, I have it as a reminder that I persevered through an extremely challenging program at a University with worldwide recognition.
Good luck with the giveaway, and all the best going forward.. x

Paris! Your comments thread is so long that it literally crashed my browser the first time I tried to comment, so (a) congrats and (b) here we go again!
I’m from Edmonton, and I literally can’t remember how I found MWS. It’s been SO long!
As for my biggest achievement? I’ve done a lot of cool things through theNotice, but the one thing that I’m proudest of is learning how to be happy. It’s a struggle every day, but I’m really proud of how far I’ve come.
Sharon says
Congratulations on the blog! 800+ pages on your blog is crazy and the content is always well thought out and written.
I found this blog from Rae at the Notice, and I’m glad I did. Like her, I’m Canadian and from Vancouver.
For me over the last 10 years, I’m wrapping up university, and for my last summer, I was able to land an internship at a big company that I’ve been wanting for a while now. (They have this search engine or something). I start in just under two months and I’m super excited!
JJ says
I’m from Toronto, Canada! I don’t remember how I stumbled upon your blog but I’ve been reading it for years!
My biggest achievement in the last 10 years is not doing what’s expected of me. Not sticking with the cushy job, the well-paying job, the safe school, etc. I hope to continue that trend. =)
Aliah says
Hi Paris,
Congratulations on the 10 year milestone. I have been reading your blog since 2008 and I can’t believe how fast time flies. I stumbled upon your blog from Tine’s blog and now before I buy the Guerlain balls I need to check what you have say about it first 🙂
My biggest achievement in the past 10 years is getting back into the workplace after being a SAHM for 6 years. In that time I also completed my PhD so it has been a challenging yet fulfilling time for me.
I am from PJ and I would love to have a chance to meet you over coffee. Take care
Swati says
Hey Paris!!! Many many best wishes for completing 10 years, that is a huge achievement. May yo celebrate many such decades. I have been mia for long so i found out the news today only. And the products in the giveaway are amazing.
I am not sure when I found out your blog but I discovered yours and Tine’s blog at the same time and got hooked to both for skin care recommendations. whatever I bought after reading your blogs have mostly worked fab for me though they dug a deep hole in my pocket. Seriously luxe skin care and I am absolutely in love with it ? Btw, have you never tried skinceuticals?
In fact your question was so difficult to answer that it seriously got me thinking of I have really achieved anything in the past 10 years and yeah I know it’s a long time to not have anything on the plate. I feel like I have done nothing in these 10 years! Wow….a depressing thought.
Cheah Hsu Jen says
Hailing all the way from the far away state of Selangor, found your blog yonks ago when I started going on a make up binge. Lost count of the number of things I’ve purchased and loved/didn’t quite work out (not everything suits all skin types, as you always say). Just purchased my second Guerlain Meteorites, and your blog was an essential part of my research material!
I don’t feel like I’ve achieved as much as an Olympic gold medalist in the past 10 years, but I’m glad to say that career-wise, I’ve gotten farther than I thought I would be at this point in my life. Yay me!
Illiya Ridzuan says
Hi there Paris!
My name is Illiya Ridzuan. I am 25 years old and currently a full time PhD student at UTM, Kuala Lumpur and a part time Insta beauty blogger.
I am not sure whether you remember me or not, but I often comment on your Instagram posts. I just want to take this opportunity to say that you inspire me to really write about beauty products!
I just started blogging on Instagram ever since two years ago. And you are one of the beauty blogger that I look up too! I really like how you review beauty products.
The first post that I stumbled upon on your blog was Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb! Because during that time I was just introduced to the brand.
About my achievement for the past 10 years, probably graduating my master degree at the age of 24. And gained so many thoughtful beauty enthusiasts on Instagram. I made really great friends through beauty blogging. Which I am really grateful.
Lastly I just want to say, congratulations on achieving the milestone of 10 years for My Women Stuff! Even if I don’t win this giveaway, can I met you for tea or coffee? Because it will be such a honour for me to meet you in real life and talk about beauty blogging! I have so much to learn.

Hi, I’m from Shah Alam and currently working as a doctor in one of the government hospitals in Klang Valley. My biggest personal achievement is how I am able to help my patients every single day for the last 7 years working as a doctor. Medicine is a strange career, in comparison to most people thinks, it is not like how Meredith Grey portrayed in Grey’s Anatomy. I dealt with mentally-ill patients – I treat schizophrenic patients, moody irritable bipolar, victims of abuse, vagabonds and drug addicts on regular basis. People might stigmatise us – but my personal achievement will definitely be when my insane patient becomes better after treatment, when my vagabonds patients have their first real job and when my drug addict patients decided to quit drugs. My job might not be glamorous – but there is a satisfaction to it. Cheers!

I have been reading your blog since 2008 and I I stumbled upon your blog accidently after typing product review randomly in google. Since that, I’m hooked.
Samantha Lee says
Hi Paris. I am Samantha and I have been following your blog for quite a few years now since I stumbled upon it from a magazine article. I love your reviews which are always informative, frank and sometimes with a sense of humour.
My greatest achievement would be my family. Before I had my two kids, my focus has always been my career and striving to climb the corporate ladder. But now that I have my own kids, I realised that nothing is more important than having good and close relationships with your loved ones.
