The end of the world is not nigh, but the end of 2012 is! What a year it has been! 😀 I’m not going to do a “Best of 2012” in a true sense, because heck, its hard to choose, ok! So I’m just going to pick some random categories and tell you what I think the best of 2012 has been for me, and you can do the same 🙂

I don’t wear nail polish at the best of times. But I am ever thankful to the reader who pointed me in the direction of A-England nail polishes.

For someone who doesn’t wear nail polish, I’ve accumulated quite a few from the brand. Application is superb, colours are beautiful, and they ship worldwide for free, from the land of Arthurian legend, England. If you have not yet tried theirs, I urge you to. You won’t regret it, I promise! 🙂

Ladies! I’m just back from a relaxing holiday by the beach and am only just starting to get back into the swing of things. You know, holidays are both a bane and a boon. I’m thankful for them for recharging and yet, you know that post-holiday slump we all fall into? Yeah I’m in that slump now. I hope you’ve had lots to read here on MWS to keep you occupied over the past few days while I get back on the bandwagon and on track 🙂

My Women Stuff Beauty Box Subscription: The introductory box

I was chatting with Beetrice one day on the subject of beauty box subscriptions. You know the sort where you pay a fixed sum every month and get surprised by what you receive? It could be a good surprise or a bad one I suppose.

In most of these boxes, you get 1 full size item if you are lucky (a bottle of nail polish is considered full size!) but if not, you get a bunch of deluxe sized samples from various brands and areas of beauty – makeup, skincare, tools etc. I’ve read of some boxes including coasters and vouchers and even hair ties. I got one containing coffee beans. Erm yeah. Surprise!! 😛 Never said it was going to be a good surprise 😛

So there we were chatting randomly about what we could put into a beauty box and a germ of an idea formed. What if I were to have a beauty box subscription? What will I put into my box?

I’ll call this the “My Women Stuff Beauty Box”** and this box will house 5 items I would put in there, that I think people will like to try. In the vein of a beauty box subscription, there is 1 full size item and 4 sample sizes. This is a recurring subscription and you will be automatically billed or you can pay up front  for a year! Hurray!

I’ve also got a few blogging friends to create their boxes and tell us what goes in their boxes so hop along for a peep into mine and theirs.

Thank you for an EPIC 2011 : A year in Review

2011 crept up on me quite sneakily but the last few days of the year seems to be have just rushed by – where has the time gone? I have however, managed to squeeze in some milestones this year, made some new friends, joined a band of bandits, tweeted up a storm and had my share of ups and downs 😀

Its been quite an epic year for me on the blog front, culminating in the MWS Readers’ Choice Awards and the Awards Party that just quite frankly, blew me away 🙂 I shared some of my “Best of 2011” picks yesterday but today its about YOU! 😀

None of this would have been possible without every single one of you who have dropped by whenever you could to say hi, leave a comment, offer a suggestion or just chat. This one’s for all of you.
