I received an interesting email from reader, Tuti quite recently. Here’s an excerpt with her question:-

Ohya, just an idea and I am so curious, maybe you can raise up the issue like: how many girls out there do really finish their lipstick and how many lipstick is enough? I think this is an interesting topic, especially for the group “lipsticks bandits”

Ah, Lipstick Bandits and fellow readers, have we got a conundrum on our hands!

What do you reckon your answer to Tuti’s question is? As for myself, its going to be tough questions to answer! LOL! But I’ll try. (If lipsticks aren’t your thing, weigh in anyway with your thoughts on lipgloss if that’s what you prefer 😉 )

Its still Summer, people! Nothing says Summer better than the Dior Orange Pareo lipgloss

I was reminded of the Dior Summer Mix collection at the end of last week when I took a short stroll through the mall. The Dior counter was so bright, I could not miss it and it is a good reminder that “Hello! Its still Summer, people. Fall is a nice collection too, but lets live for now, shall we?”.

The Summer Mix collection is a collection of matching nails and lipgloss in translucent, jelly textures. I’ve already shown you all the nail colours here and here and you have to admit that they are beautiful and bright and perfect for the summer. One good thing about living here in the tropics is that these bright colours will never be out of place all year round! Yay! 😀

For myself, when I first got wind of the summer stuff earlier this year, I made a beeline down to the Dior counter to pick up my very first orange lipgloss in Orange Pareo (542). I must say though, I wasn’t disappointed one bit. I am a huge huge fan of Dior lipglosses. Next to Guerlain glosses, they’re the only ones I use because they are not sticky, not tacky and have good colour.

During the week, I happened to head down to the KLCC area and noticed that there were many tourist buses in the area around the park. Apparently, that is a very good spot for taking the ubiquitous tourist photo of the Petronas Twin Towers because every bus stopped there, disgorged loads of tourists who’d pose and take photos first with their DSLR then their point and shoot camera and then their phone cameras. Every one of them! I was also terribly amused to see almost all the kawaii photo poses in the book, and more that I never knew existed 😛 It was educational.

This is a short story about the time that makeup went on holiday and a possible explanation of how Dior Cosmo got its jelly texture. Its the weekend, we need some fun and you don’t want to be stuck here reading a thesis 🙂

Once upon a time, at the height of the Summer Mix, Dior Vernis in Lagoon and Cosmo went on holiday with PB. It being summer, they chose to visit the beach. It was what all the fab brands were doing. Heading to the beach, hoping to get a tan. Maybe even don an Orange Pareo.

The first glimpse of the ocean so excited Cosmo that she couldn’t help exclaiming about how blue it was! It was about as bright a blue as that of Lagoon.
