The outlook is rosy for the Vichy Essentielles Facial Foaming Cleanser

February 10, 2011 Paris B 14 Comments

You know by now that I love me some inexpensive facial cleansers right? I’ve told you my reasons before but in a nutshell, I don’t believe that cleansers add anything to our skin except to clean it so a good inexpensive cleanser from the pharmacy beats a pricey cleanser from the department store for me. More money to spend on other things… like serums 😉

So when my daytime facial cleanser ran out (yes I do run out of products 😛 ) I went a-hunting for a new inexpensive facial cleanser and found one – the Vichy Essentielles Foaming Facial Cleanser!

I used to hear rumblings of dissent every time I mentioned Vichy products because there would always be someone saying it was rather pricey for a pharmacy brand. Vichy seems to be paying attention, because the Essentialles range is very affordably priced for the brand. I’ve liked a few of the Vichy cleansers I’ve tried (Purete Thermal Foaming Cleansing Water, Normaderm Cleansing Purifying Gel, Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream cleanser <- Yes I realise I’m behind on reviews 😛 ) so trying a new inexpensive cleanser from the range was a bit of a no-brainer.

Foot Therapy with the P-Style Foot Clean Gel

February 10, 2011 Paris B 23 Comments

My feet are the most neglected part of my body. Hands up everyone else who is the same. You there in the back trying to look inconspicuous, you agree with me don’t you?

So when I was sent the P-Style Foot Clean Gel, a Japanese product (its no wonder really!), I took the opportunity to give my poor long suffering feet some TLC.

What this product is, is a gel you use to exfoliate dead skin cells from your feet. I’ve got all these hard skin and calluses on my toes and feet that I won’t show you or you’d blame me for your nightmares. I should really be using a pumice stone but those things can be painful! This gel isn’t.

Never heard of it? Well, neither have I before this LOL! 😀

Where have I seen those colours before?

February 9, 2011 Paris B 17 Comments

Take a look at these 2 palettes. Now tell me where we might have seen these colours before?

Palette #1

ohai! don't you look familiar?

Looks to me like either the Stila Precious Pearl palette or the Smashbox Masquerade eyeshadow palette. Do you know of other similar looking palettes?

How about this other one?

New Kid on the Makeup Block – Victoria Jackson Survival Kit and Lip Addiction Lip Gloss

February 9, 2011 Paris B 20 Comments

When I was invited to attend the press launch of the Victoria Jackson cosmetics brand in Malaysia a couple of months back, I must confess to not knowing what on earth it was. I’d never come across it before that, but I was game to see what it might offer.

Victoria Jackson cosmetics, according to the press info, is a brand by er… one Victoria Jackson who is supposed to be a Hollywood Makeup Artist. I’m as clueless about Hollywood makeup artists as I am about Hollywood so I’ll take it at face value. What I’ll do here, is tell you what I and a reader thinks of 2 products from the line that we got our hands on 🙂

Victoria Jackson Survival Kit Vol. 3

review victoria jackson survival kit vol .3

The Victoria Jackson Survival Kit is one of their top sellers. You get 5 lip colours, 10 eye colors, 1 lip pencil, 1 eyeliner, 1 mascara, 1 sharpener, 2 blushes, 2 mirrors and a set of brushes in a nifty kit that is about the size of a Blackberry mobile phone but thicker. Its a bit bulky to carry around in your handbag, but it takes up less space than if you were to carry each product separately. My thoughts on this kit is below.
