Foot Therapy with the P-Style Foot Clean Gel

February 10, 2011 Paris B 23 Comments

My feet are the most neglected part of my body. Hands up everyone else who is the same. You there in the back trying to look inconspicuous, you agree with me don’t you?

So when I was sent the P-Style Foot Clean Gel, a Japanese product (its no wonder really!), I took the opportunity to give my poor long suffering feet some TLC.

What this product is, is a gel you use to exfoliate dead skin cells from your feet. I’ve got all these hard skin and calluses on my toes and feet that I won’t show you or you’d blame me for your nightmares. I should really be using a pumice stone but those things can be painful! This gel isn’t.

Never heard of it? Well, neither have I before this LOL! 😀

Method of usage is very easy and very similar to some face peeling gels you might have come across.

  • On dry skin, pump out some gel and apply over your foot
  • You will feel the skin soften and bits of skin will roll up.
  • Keep rubbing. The more you rub, the more dead skin will pill up.
  • When you are done, wash off

I find my feet looks so much better after I’m done. Its bright and clean and feels a little softer. I was told that it can also help those with feet problems too especially feet odour, if used regularly.

The only problem I really have with this is in its application. Because its to be done on dry feet, I can’t do this in the shower. Also its best done sitting down so you can really get to it. I always end up sitting on my toilet seat and then hobbling over to the shower. I don’t have a chair in my shower – does anyone?

Otherwise, I think this is a fun little product. Not a must have, but if you have feet issues this could help remove the dead skin and bacteria so you don’t have odours. Our feet are enclosed in shoes all day and when you walk around, who knows what your feet attract.

Pros: Skin on feet feels softer and looks brighter and cleaner, Helps remove hard skin and dead skin cells

Cons: A little pricey

At RM73 a bottle I do think it a little bit pricey. That said, I saw a similar sort of product for the face in Singapore (Cure I think its called) and it was quite pricey too. Depending on the size of your feet you may end up using quite a lot each time. I have size EUR36 feet and even then, this bottle lasted me about 8-10 uses, 2 pumps each time per foot. I used it about twice a week because it was fun! 😀

Have you tried this or anything similar? What I liked to do was to use this gel to clean my feet, have my shower and then slather on thick body lotion or body butter on my feet (that I don’t otherwise like to use on my body) and go to sleep, waking up the next day with beautifully soft feet 😀 Great for a pampering treat.

P-Style Foot Gel retails at RM73/bottle from Blissful Marketing online or Valletta shops in Sarawak

RM73 for a bottle? Hmm I normally use a normal bodyscrub to scrub my feet followed by a foot cream, seems to work fine for now. That or I’d just go for a pedicure coz I’m too lazy to do it myself, hehe.

LOL! I used to go for pedicures until a bad episode when my nails got infected and since then I never went again.

Hi, I’m one of those that ALWAYS take care of my feet. I’ve had a Baby Feet treatment done at Body Perfect beauty salon. It costs RM140 (member’s price). They did three types of masks on my feet. The first layer was a scrub mask which removes dead skin like the gel you tried. It was WONDERFUL! My feet was really baby soft for few months. Should give that a try sometime.

Expensive! And yeah, it reminds me of facial peel gels. I use the one you mentioned, Cure. I bought a bottle from a local reseller; I loved it so much I bought a back up in HK. I think I’ll stick to scrubs for my feet, I would never think of using my Cure on my neglected soles. 🙂

I came across Cure in Singapore but it was pricey even there – I wouldn’t use it on my feet either!

I’m guilty of not giving my feet some TLC… lol… I’ve nvr used a peeling gel on my feet before… I’ve only used foot mask like once every 2 or 3 months… Quite unpractical unless u have a dustbin beside your bed (which I don’t think would be nice)… First u put on the sock-shaped sheet mask (same material as the normal face masks) , then put on another sock-shaped plastic so that u can walk around the house or stand or etc… After abt 20-30 mins, remove everything and you’re left with a stick foot… I have to walk to the dustbin and back to my room… always leaves footprints… hahaha… BUT my feet feels nice the next day 🙂

I’ve seen those foot masks around and I tried one once but I didn’t like it because of the impracticality as you pointed out. So these days, I try to remember to apply some body cream/lotion before I sleep while I’m in bed and then wake up to softer feet the next morning 😀

I have a pair of Bliss Softening Socks. Works a treat to pamper feet. I slather my normal moisturiser and slip on the socks before bed and the next day my feet feel nice and soft. I’ve also read that you can use a normal pair of socks instead.

Oh yeah! I’ve read about using socks at night over cream to help soften the skin on the feet but I haven’t tried it. Not sure if it might be uncomfortable to sleep with LOL! I should give it a go 😉

I haven’t tried Cure but I’ve been using Ocean Mire peeling gel which works the same way and its nice especially when you put on a sleeping pack after that! 😀
