Alright many of you asked about the cosmetics, so I’ll share my haul. Where do I start? 😛 I’ll break this down by brand, shall I? Picture heavy – be warned 🙂
Urban Decay
Before I left, I had requests from Kahani and Syen to pick up the new Urban Decay Naked palette. We’d been planning to get it from Sephora Singapore but it was not due out then (It is now at S$73) so when I got to London, I hit up the nearest Urban Decay counter at House of Fraser and promptly told the sales assistant to set me aside “3 Naked palettes please!” Its wonderful to say that and not have someone look at you like you are crazy. I then texted both Kahani and Syen to say “We got Naked!” and the replies were along the lines of “Yay!” So you see, Naked isn’t just a state of being between fans of beauty stuff 😀
The Urban Decay Naked palette retails at £27 in the UK which, according to our math, is cheaper than the USA and Singapore so we got a bargain! Yay! 😀
I also picked up the Urban Decay Black Palette (£23), no thanks to Lipglossiping. I loved how pigmented it was and how DARK the colours were. You would never guess it looking at the palette but they apply black with nuances. Love! I love using dark colours and besides, it goes well with the Naked palette to add depth.
Bourjois
At Superdrug, they were running a 3 for 2 on Bourjois (and many other brands) and for some reason, I ended up with the Healthy Mix Foundation, Healthy Mix Concealer and Healthy Mix Brush Concealer. I’d lost all interest in colour cosmetics after Urban Decay so it was just base products for me.
Rimmel
I kept seeing the new Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara everywhere so I eventually caved in and got it at £6.99. Promises to promote lash growth. What’s it with brands and the current obsession with lash growth mascara?! We’re seeing it in every level now, from Lancome all the way down to Rimmel!
L’Oreal
I spotted the new L’Oreal Youth Code moisturizer and I remembered my chat buddy LeGeeque raving about it to me so I picked it up at the promotional price of £10. For some reason, I get the feeling that this is the drugstore cream with the Lancome Genifique technology – we know how Lancome and L’Oreal share technology but I never expected it to trickle down this quickly.
I also got the L’Oreal 360 Perfect Clean Foaming Gel Wash with Scrublet (£4) which I know we aren’t getting here (I checked months ago when I first came across it)
For my Mom I got her the L’Oreal Age Perfect Day and Night Creams which is formulated for mature skin. We do not get this line here at time of writing, although I’d spotted it in Singapore. She’s going to take it for a whirl and if anyone’s interested, she’ll share her thoughts on it soon. Needless to say, she’s quite excited at trying something new. I knew I had to get my experimental streak from somewhere!
Topshop
Popped by Topshop and I had to see how the Topshop makeup fared. To be perfectly honest, nothing much grabbed my attention. The testers looked a bit grimy but I did end up with 2 cream blushes in Flush (pink) and Neon Rose (coral) (£6 each). They apply sheerer than they look and are alright. Nothing to write home to mother about.
Moroccan Oil for Hair
I stumbled upon the Stephan Way hair salon on Bond St. and popped upstairs to enquire about the Moroccan Oil for hair. My hair had been suffering from days of crappy shampoo and was looking like a helmet. The oil is great stuff! I can see why there are so many raves about this online.
Guerlain Cherry Blossom blush
Remember the Guerlain Cherry Blossom blush from Spring 2010? I came by a little pharmacy that had it on sale at £19 so since its cheaper than retail I decided to give it a go 🙂
And that’s it! I checked out Illamasqua at Selfridges but it did not appeal to me for some reason. It might be because the SAs at the counter made no attempt to engage my interest, unlike the lovely SA at Urban Decay who was friendly, chatty and knew her stuff.
Oh and Lush! How could I forget?
I walked into Lush to pick out a friend’s order and came out with some soap bars for myself. Got a bar of Foam a Friend (Sexy Peel and Sultana of Soap), Porridge Soap and Ring of Roses. With £20 purchase, I got a fresh face mask free so I chose Catastrophe Cosmetic which is worth £4.95. There is a reason we do not have Lush here in Malaysia – the soap bars were already melting even as I unpacked! They are now stored in my fridge 😛
Sooo…. with so many new toys, which ones are you interested to read about most? 🙂

Great haul you have there Paris!! 😀 😀 The UD palettes are soooo pretty!! Please do a post of them soon yeah!! And also the Loreal Srubblet thingy! It looks mighty interesting!! 😀
I hope the Lush porridge soap works for you. The bar i got had horribly rough bits in it so i can only use it as a pumice stone! >.<
ParisB says
Yep! British pharmacies are amazing places 😀
You know what? I really HATE that Porridge soap. I have to wash my shower stall every single day after using it and I’m now trying my utmost best to use it up as quickly as I can 😛
Jenn says
Yes!! And that!! Those little oat bits look like cockroach poo right? >.<
ParisB says
Now that you mention it… how am I going to take my shower later?!?!?! o_O
Cynthia says
Yay to UD Naked!!! I got it weeks ago too..and I couldn’t stop admiring it though. Now you make me wanting the UD black palette and topshop blush!! The topshop blush is sold out quickly here in sg. I shall drop by at Sephora Sg and have a look now. 🙂
ParisB says
Isn’t Topshop makeup sold in Topshop in Singapore? Have you tried using the Naked palette? It looks good doesn’t it 😀
Nellz says

Haha! Everyone wants to get Naked 😉 Will get there soon 😉
eliza says
OMG you got the naked palette~!! its sold out everywhere online >.<
thru sprees, its about RM181 @@
ParisB says
Gah! That’s pricey! Try to get someone to get it in Singapore where its cheaper than spree prices. BTW the Naked palette is permanent not Limited Edition so it will be restocked 🙂 There were piles of it everywhere in House of Fraser though. Piles!

gawsh i LOVE, i AY DOAH LUSH! lurve it i LOVED Honey i washed the kids, love the chocolate mask, although it did shit for my skin, and LOVE the coconut candy soap ARGH!! the last time i was in london i bought slabs, SLABS i tell you, of Lush soap. as in, when they weight it, each pice cost 15 pounds ok! dat was ALL i bought from london. lol.
and i got to admit, the Naked palette IS gorgeous, but what with my extremely lousy makeup skills, there reealy is no point for me. sob.
but all in all, GREAT haul, i LOVE new stuff!
ParisB says
The idea behind Naked m’dear is that its pretty idiot proof! 😀 The colours are very natural and quite easy to mix and match. Very promising for newbies 😉 Oh and I am now certain that Lush isn’t quite for me. I mean its fun, I like playing with the stuff, but every single time I buy something from them, I get disappointed (and a headache from the strong fragrances) Boo 🙁
shuaddict says
Great haul. Drooling over the Naked palette yet again. Those topshop cream blushes look real pigmented too bad it didn’t perform so well.
ParisB says
They are SCARY in the pan, but very very sheer on. I’ll try to get a picture of that soon.
Connie says
LOVE LOVE YOUR HAUL! My wishlist just got longer after reading this post :p. I’d love to hear about the UD The Black palette, Rimme Lash Accelerator and L’Oreal Youth Code first. I keep all my Lush soaps in the fridge too. Lol. And congrats on getting Guerlain Cherry Blossom!
ParisB says
Haha… I think everything I got is from a permanent line so prep that wishlist! 😉
AnT says
Wow! That Guerlain blush is really a steal! 😀
ParisB says
Very much so! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it 😀 There were a bunch of Guerlain stuff on sale but only this one caught my eye
reene says
Nice haul! The black palette looks interesting. Love the Guerlain blush! Looks sooo pretty. I would be sad to use it just because it would mess up the overspray.. lol. Thank you for sharing. ^^
ParisB says
Thanks Reene. You’re right you know. The Guerlain blush looks like NOTHING once the overspray is gone, which is upsetting. But it won’t stop me from using it 😀
Kahani says
Whoa great haul. You really covered alotta ground. I want my paletteeee!!
ParisB says
Saturday babe! 😀 And thanks 😀
LL says
Nice haul! 😀
How is the Moroccan oil used?
ParisB says
Thanks LL. Moroccan oil is for the hair as a leave in treatment. Just apply a tiny bit into your hair and it detangles, softens, unfrizzes and makes hair shine. Its great stuff!
joeydora says
wow.. nice haul…*drooling*
ParisB says
Thanks 😀
Juan says

I did have a great time! Although everything was picked up just 2 days before I left 😀 Looks like everyone wants to know about the UD Naked palette – will try to oblige asap 😀
