I never thought the day would come when I would merrily wear pink eyeshadow on my eyes and call it a day. Without looking like a rabid rabbit that’s been crying for a week, that is. Its seriously something! So good for me, I swear I’m going to put a dip in it any day now.
Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Colors : I Never Thought I’d Wear Orange and Pink on eyes!
You know what? I enjoy using cream eyeshadows. I guess I’m luckier than most, because few eyeshadows crease on me. I do not have oily lids and for the most part, cream shadows or any eyeshadow for that matter, stay on my lids for the most part of the day. Hurrah! 😛
The one benefit I find using cream shadows, is the ease of use. In most brands (I happen to like the Benefit Creaseless Cream shadows) its pretty much swipe and go. No need to fuss and faff about and they blend very easily. Now, I’d tried Shiseido’s earlier offering of a cream shadow before this – Hydro something? I didn’t like it. So I faced the newer Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Colors with a little trepidation.
The shadow itself isn’t new. They have been around since late last year if I recall correctly and come in a variety of colours. I’d read a lot of raving reviews about the texture and longevity, but I was still hesitant to try them. Recently however, I was given the chance to try a couple of the colours including 2 new colours from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. So, here are my thoughts 🙂
Treat Your Hair to The Shiseido Tsubaki Head Spa Extra Cleansing Shampoo and Massage Spa Mask
If you are anything like me, you will be what I call a shampoo hopper. I don’t buy large sizes of hair care products anymore simply because even before I’ve gone through half the bottle, my hair either gets frizzy or heavy. The last large bottles I purchased were the Pantene Aqua Light shampoo and conditioner because I couldn’t get it here. Otherwise, I buy the smallest bottles on the shelf. Oh, and naturally I get bored too 😛 So I guess my hair gets bored as well.
However, I recently discovered (quite belatedly) that if I used a clarifying shampoo or deep cleansing shampoo, I prolong my hair’s interest in my regular haircare products. I’d heard of clarifying shampoo before but didn’t know where to look. So when I was introduced to the Tsubaki Head Spa Extra Cleansing shampoo, I was quite interested.
I was told to only use it once a week (Seriously? This bottle will last me forever, used once a week!) and to massage it into my scalp, because what its supposed to do is to deep cleanse the scalp and hair to remove product build up. Reckon it worked for me?
New: Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum + (2012 Version)
I had a go at the Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum last year, that promised to get to work on pigmentation in 14 days tops. Well I took them at their word and put them to the test but really only could attest to some minimal effects within the 14 days. I eventually finished up the bottle, and I will say that regular use does offer generally brighter, more even skintone, but the persistent pigment spots remain.
This year, Shiseido ups things by telling you to expect results in 10 days vs 14. Wow!
The packaging remains the same. The sturdy plastic bottle with its iridescent purple tones that is present in the White Lucent range. The name remains the same too… bar one small detail. The + sign. In 2012, Shiseido brings the White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum +
