I had so much fun doing empties posts but realised I mostly only managed to finish anything after about 2 months. However, July was an exception!
I’m on a roll! 😀 Here’s what they are, with quick recaps of what I thought of them.

Ah I haven’t done a walkaround the beauty halls for a long long time. I’ve been so busy that the malls and beauty counters are starting to look quite alien to me. I initially was planning to pick up the Rose Initiale blush from Chanel’s Fall collection but some circumstances have resulted in me forbidding myself from buying it. I know. Its a silly thing to do but there you go! I will not be owning Rose Initiale in the interim.
However, thanks to friends, I did visit the Chanel counter anyway to help a friend pick up a couple of items from the Fall 2012 collection including Rose Initiale! So I get to buy it after all 😀 I just don’t get to keep it LOL! Here’s what it looks like at the counter. Its just out and there are lip glosses, lipsticks, eyeshadows, a blush and oh so many things! 😛
I’ll just share some quick thoughts I had on the collection (plus a picture of the star product face powder), and also share some pictures of a couple of new items I spotted while at Sephora KL. Its a free and easy sort of day today and you can just tell me what you think or what you’ve been up to 🙂

It seems like having blogged about 2 concealers within a short time (Dior then Clinique) has allowed many of you to compare them and the most asked question in the Clinique Even Better Concealer review is – how does it compare to the Diorskin Nude one? I’m terribly behind on replying to comments so I thought I’d do you a quick comparison post instead (plus I still have holiday brains so I haven’t been able to properly write anything!) 😀 Love ya guys for the ideas doncha know? 😉
I’ll compare them on 3 grounds – packaging, texture and effectiveness. I think that should cover it <- cover it geddit? 😛 Before I get even punnier, lets get going.

I’m quite a fan of the Clinique Even Better serum which I use for spot treatment. Of all the “whitening” serums I’ve been using, its the one that seems to work best for me in the quickest time. I don’t use it all the time though. And then Clinique came out with the Even Better Makeup foundation which I also liked because of the texture on my skin.
Now, to complement this is the Even Better Concealer. Honestly, I’m not quite sure about the use of the “Even Better” name because whilst this does do a pretty good job in making your skin look even better, as I’ll show you below, it confuses me somewhat because I associate “Even Better” with the skincare and less so makeup. I think it contains some of the ingredients in the skincare, so it not only conceals but “treats” but honestly, I’m not quite sold on that.
Still, for a concealer, I’d say it ticks all the right boxes barring just one small fly in the ointment 🙂
