This Fall 2019, the Noir et Blanc de Chanel collection will have you decide if you prefer it black or white

I always look forward to Chanel’s seasonal makeup collections. Ever since Lucia Pica came on board as their Creative Director, we’ve seen many very interesting interpretations released, and I love it!

For Fall 2019, the collection is called Noir et Blanc de Chanel – Black and White. You might have already seen the images.

Black and White is very stark, and it is this bold contrast of colours that Lucia Pica is going for. A selection of opposites, with deep, dark tones and shades that evoke the longer, cooler nights that will befall most of the Northern Hemisphere very soon.

The products are either softly shimmering with the lightness of white and light, or bold and deep with the shadows and mystery of the dark black. The packaging reflects this, with sleek, snow white packaging for some items, or the regular sleek black of Chanel makeup packaging.

As much as I love most of Lucia Pica’s releases however, I must admit that the Noir et Blanc de Chanel collection is a little too experimental and avant-garde for little ol’ me 😛 I’ll explain

If you’re wearing the Chanel Sublimage Le Teint Foundation you will not need any photo filters!

About 4 years ago, I was introduced to, and found my photoshop in a bottle. I raved about it to everyone who’d listen; and who wouldn’t faint dead away at the price tag LOL!

I was, and still am, very happy using it.

But a new contender stepped into the ring earlier this year, and quite quickly claimed the top spot.

The new King of the Hill in my books is the Chanel Sublimage Le Teint foundation. A beautifully formulated, creamy foundation that not only gives me the photoshop in a bottle, but leaves my skin feeling BETTER for wearing it.

This hot hot summer, you don’t want to be without the new Chanel Ultra Le Teint Foundation (30 shades swatched!)

Truth to tell, when I first got wind of the Chanel Ultra Le Teint foundation, I effected a slight grimace. But I promised myself that I’d consider it with an open mind.

The Chanel Ultra Le Teint foundation is touted to be an Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish foundation. In layspeak, it means that it’s a longwearing foundation with full coverage. Nothing that ticks my foundation boxes, but I promised myself – keep an open mind.

So um… I must confess that it’s really really grown on me! 😛

The Chanel Ultra Le Teint Foundation is practically the polar opposite of my other favourite recent release, the Chanel Water Fresh Tint. They could not be more dissimilar! Yet, they both have their place and serve their functions very well.
