Kamsahamnida Allure Korea for featuring My Women Stuff and Annyeong-Haseyo!

February 6, 2014 Paris B 42 Comments

Since I’m all about me today (ahem!), I’d like to say a big “Thank you”, “Hello” and “Annyeong-haseyo!” to any one who may have stumbled on MWS from a feature in Allure Korea magazine 😀

I was contacted by Allure Korea a while ago, and we did a short email interview (in English, lest you think I am suddenly fluent in Korean LOL!) and it’s out in their February 2014 issue in a feature called “Worldwide Beauty” which is a feature on 11 beauty bloggers worldwide 🙂 I’ve got a snapshot of the pages, if anyone can read Korean and want to know what it’s all about and who else were featured 🙂

I have to say though, it’s not every day that I get to share a page with beauty blogger extraordinaire Christine of Temptalia fame, so I was quite honoured 😀

Here are the pages of the article and you can click on each to enlarge and read (if you read Korean)

In gist and based on Google Translate and the email questions earlier, the blurb says that I started blogging back in 2007 when beauty blogging was a very new phenomenon locally and I operate on a policy of strict honesty in writing product reviews. There is a strong reader community who share their thoughts in the comments (and that’s all of you, folks! Thank you! 😀 ) which is what makes it unique.

Some of my favourite products are the Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser, Origins Make A Difference Plus+ moisturiser, Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen and Dior Capture Totale Nuit night cream, all of which you’ve seen me rave about before in my skincare top picks. In my makeup pouch, you will only find lipsticks of which I count the Guerlain Rouge G and Dior Rouge Dior as my faves.

Beauty shopping locally would likely be at Sephora Malaysia and a beauty product that interests me recently is cleansing balms as I find them more gentle and less irritating for my skin. My favourite blogs are makeupandbeautyblog.com and musingsofamuse.com both of which have a lot of new beauty info presented in an engaging manner and as for Korean cosmetics, we in Malaysia seem to love them. As we do everything K-pop eh? 🙂

I actually liked that they featured our Instagram accounts for the international bloggers, because Twitter and Facebook are language-centric but a pretty photo transcends all languages and cultures, doesn’t it? Nice touch, Allure! 😀

Thank you for indulging my narcissism today. Regular beauty news returns tomorrow.

Kamsahamnida, Allure (Korea) and to all of you for reading!

xoxo

Can you please send me the translate version? I was featured too and have only been able to get a copy of the PDF in Korea. I would be so thankful for your help!

Also where were you able to locate the print paper version?

    Thanks again!

Hi Ava I don’t have the translated version. I just copied and pasted it into Google Translate to get the gist of what was written 🙂 I don’t have the print version either as we don’t get Allure Korea here so I’m just having the pdf too. Congratulations on being featured! x
