Merry Christmas everyone!

I wish you lots of joy and love this Christmas. And good food. And warmth. And fun. And everything wonderful for the season 😀

Oh and lovely presents too 😉 I’m only meeting friends in a week’s time so I’m taking my own sweet time to package their presents, and as I don’t celebrate Christmas per se, I’m taking the opportunity to wind down for the year… and maybe get myself sorted with a new computer while everyone’s still comatose from their Christmas feasts 😉

Speaking of presents (and really, to make this post be more than just a “Merry Christmas” post) I received a surprise gift just before Christmas, which had me looking a bit like this –> 😯 It was the RMK x Kate Spade collection for Christmas, and if I’m to be honest, I really wanted that gold Kate Spade pouch because well, its about the most affordable Kate Spade item I could get! 😛 It was sold out everywhere however, so I thought “Ah fergettit! It ain’t meant to be mine”

Thing is, the universe works in many wonderful ways and one day, voila! The RMK x Kate Spade face set dropped into my lap as a gift! 😀

The Lancome Golden Hat L’Absolu Rouge Rose Absolu (No. 365) can be worn 365 days a year

When I told you about the Lancome Golden Hat collection for Christmas this year, I also told you that we weren’t getting Caprice lipstick, which is a bright, bright red that I was eyeing. With that, I lost my interest, I have to admit. Then one day, the L’Absolu Rouge lipstick in Rose Absolu (No. 365) landed on my desk.

The limited edition packaging of the L’Absolu Rouge lisptick features a golden imprint of a hat and Kate Winslet’s signature. However, the rest of the packaging is the same – magnetic cap and all. It got me curious to see if the formula of the lipstick would be the same. You might recall that I actually like the Lancome L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks 🙂

Quite a few months ago, I got my hands on the then newly launched Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator serum. Before I got it, I’d purchased a bottle for a friend for her birthday and within a week received a glowing report of how wonderful it was for her. Said friend swore that it actually did help even out her skintone, reduce redness and blotchiness and left her skin looking wonderfully radiant overall. Goodness! I had to give it a go myself!

It is a point to note that this product is an add-on to the Estee Lauder Idealist range, and not a replacement. So it is by all accounts, a brand new product. It comes in the signature Idealist turquoise bottle which has a slight iridescence to it, to simulate the illuminating effects, I would guess.

What this product claims to do is to reduce redness, blotchiness, discolourations, spots and lift dull skin so you get a more even toned, radiant visage. Results are claimed to be seen in 14 days and my friend testified to it in 7! How did it fare for me then?
