This would have gone up yesterday but I had come back late the night before from meeting up with the elusive Jenn who is as darling in person as she is online, and thereafter adjourning with the usual suspects for more late night chatter, where we hatched up the craziest challenge/project EVER! I’ll tell you more about that next week 😉
This week, let’s run a weekend poll!
Chloe and Marc Jacobs fragrances have an on-going promotion at KLCC until 28 September where you can match your favourite flower to a Chloe or Marc Jacobs fragrance. This is based on the notes and association with the scent so Roses = Chloe, Violets = Love Chloe, Daisies = Marc Jacobs Daisy and Peonies = Marc Jacobs Oh Lola.
With every purchase of a fragrance from the booth, there will be chocolate lollipops and flowers to be given away. Incidentally, Love Chloe and Marc Jacobs Oh Lola are new fragrances so go and take a sniff at them, even if you don’t buy anything. I have Marc Jacobs Lola and I personally prefer the scent to Daisy as its a little heavier. Perhaps not as memorable as some scents, but its not too bad for a department store scent.
What’s your favourite flower?
While we’re on the subject of flowers, what’s yours? Its so hard to choose favourites, urgh! I paint myself into a corner every since time I do this but I’d probably say Lilies. I sometimes buy Stargazer Lilies for my house. They last long, look regal and fill the room with a natural sweet scent that beats any home fragrance.
Do you prefer light, fresh fragrances or stronger, heavier ones?
I do like light fragrances but I find they tend to wear off faster so I’m going to say heavier fragrances. I’ve recently been playing with the Dior J’adore EDT and if you have sniffed J’adore you’d know its a heavy scent. The EDT is lighter but still heavy and I realised that if I spritzed it just once, I got the perfect scent to last me all day without being too heavy. But it also made me feel lopsided because I only caught the scent on one side! Erm… any ideas how to get round this? 😛
What your favourite smell ever?
Mine is coffee and freshly baked bread or cakes. I absolutely love the smell of roasted coffee beans. I used to bake a little (badly) but they always smelt good even if taste was debatable 🙂
Can you sew?
I have a pile of skirts that need hemming – I swear the quality of store bought clothes are much lower these days despite the rising prices. But a dropped hem or a loose button is usually relatively minor and I can’t sew very well so I really have to get my Mom to teach me the basics 😛
Do you eat durians?
A Durian pancake dessert – durian flesh covered with cream and wrapped in thin pancake skin
Ah now, THAT is a scent to bottle LOL! For the uninitiated, durians are a tropical fruit with hard thorny skin and seeds with soft custardy flesh. The smell is very pungent and here anyway, opinions are divided as to whether it is a fruit to love or hate. I personally don’t hate it, but I don’t eat it, not even when presented as a delectable dessert 🙂
Your turn!

I hope you have a lovely Sunday! If you are in KLCC do stop by and take a look at the new Love, Chloe and Marc Jacobs Oh Lola fragrances and if you haven’t already done so, stop by and nominate your favourite brand at the MWS Readers’ Choice Awards Nominations which close today! I’ll have something up on the Awards party tomorrow so watch out for that one 🙂

What’s your favourite flower?Oh, gosh, I don’t think I can choose, I like too many.
Do you prefer light fresh scents or stronger heavier ones? It really depends on my mood.
What is your favourite smell ever? I love the smell of just cut grass!
Can you sew? Only very basic things, nothing complicated.
Do you eat durians? I don’t think I’ve ever tried it…
Cut grass is such a lovely smell especially after the rain 😀 And if you come here to Malaysia, I’ll introduce you to the joys of a durian LOL! 😉
