As CNY coincides with Valentine’s Day, I was all dressed up in new clothes that day and spent it with my family driving around Singapore and shopping in malls & ended the day with visiting my brother at his place. Lots of continuous pigging out on sinful yummy food & new year goodies.

we celebrated by crashing my cousin’s recording studio and jammed like we were pros! and we’re tone deaf! 😀

I celebrated CNY with my boyfriend and his family on Sunday watching the all stars game and eating a lot of delicious chinese food. I spent Friday night and Saturday with my mother and her family to celebrate CNY. Then, semi-celebrated Valentine’s with the boyfriend on Monday.

Me & my family made sure our boys had valentine card’s to open & a small box of candy. My boys are only (1&3). That is about it with monies so tight right now. We played & had fun all day.

I celebrated Chinese New Year with red envelopes, dumplings, noodles, and the family!!

I spent my Valentine’s with my two lovey dovey parent’s & then had dinner with my 3 best friends. I wish I could have spent it with my boyfriend but he’s miles away & works more than he should have to!

CNY started for me when I began my cookie baking in preparation for the special day! Almond cookies, kueh bangkit and peanut cookies galore! On the first day of CNY, I wore lots of red (right down to my undies!), having spanking clean and/or new things around the house, “yee sang” with my relatives in Melbourne, yum-cha with friends and a special blessing at church for married couples (it being Valentine’s Day too). And spoke to my parents in KL on Skype, and hearing the chaos and madness in their home with their grandkids playing and running about!
Hooray for giveaways like this! Maybelline does great mascaras!

Since Sean’s family is in outstation, Sean went home 2 days earlier before CNY. On the 14th Feb, he hit all traffics and highways, came to my 4th-floor high condominium at 8pm in surprise, with a bunch of red and fade pink roses on his right hand and a bottle of our favourite red wine on his left, of course with his bag pack on his back (^^). Drinking wine and oven-‘ting’ baked fish and chips, while watching CNY/Valentine fireworks flying high outside the balcony, watching funny CNY movie on the TV. Overflowing with a peaceful and happy paradise night… again!

I celebrated Chinese new year with my grandparents and my boyfriend. This is my first time celebrating chinese new year back in Malaysia after being abroad for 3 years! The day started off with a lovely surprise of roses and cupcakes from my boyfriend. After that, we went to my grandparents’ house and met up with my whole extended family. The night ended with a lovely surprise dinner at Alexis bangsar with the boyfriend. 2 lovely surprises in a day plus lots of lovely cny cookies is a good way to end the day! =)

Spent the Chinese New Year visiting relatives, collecting ang pau (of course 😛 )….stuffing self silly with really really good food that we’ll usually see once a year…watching fireworks with nieces, calling up my sayang and wish him a lovely CNY and Valentines while he’s back in his own hometown…Best time of the year spent with the family and friends.

I celebrated my CNY and valentines day with my family and dumped my boyfriend away ~ hahaha…coz my hometown is far away from my bf’s . So we just talk at phone whole day ^^

I started off the first day of CNY at the gym, then it’s off to visiting relatives and family friends 🙂 Didn’t celebrate V-Day as the boyfriend is also busy with his family for CNY celebrations, not that we buy into the V-Day hype. 😛

I celebrated CNY 2010 by travelling back to my hometown & spending some quality time with my extended family 🙂
Although the usual festive & boisterous atmosphere was slightly lacking due to the recent passing of my paternal grandmother, it still felt good to be back among people who love & cherish you…. & I bet grandma was watching over us with a smile on her face 🙂

I celebrated by going to my local China Town here in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I do that every year it´s fantastic!
Thanks!!!

Thank you for the contest. 🙂
My boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day with a lovely, low-key breakfast at a nearby restaurant where the food is good and the service is friendly. We spent the rest of the day enjoying the outdoors, blue skies, and coffee. Oh, and he woke me up with a bouquet of flowers in shades of pink that are still blooming.

My CNY was celebrated differently this year. No hotpot for the reunion dinner, no fireworks, no “open table”-ing, no seeing many of my relatives since I had to leave at noon on Day 1 itself. 🙁

I welcomed Chinese New Year with true surround sound of fireworks back in my kampung; we were literally surrounded by fireworks in the sky (beat those in the NewYear countdowns anyday!) for 30 minutes or so, it began to feel like we were in an actual battlefield! Haha!
And that actually continued on the 1st night and the 2nd night of CNY too! Talk about OD-ing on fireworks, rofl! At least I had a good share of it this year to last till the next =)
Now I hope that no law enforcement figure reads this. heh.

I celebrate my CNY by having fever, stuffy nose and lost my voice. I am bloated with food, gained a few kilograms and my pants couldn’t be buttoned properly.
While all my clothes can’t fit, at least my make-up make me look a little presentable when collecting ang paus!
