Sephora opens in Hong Kong

October 5, 2008 Paris B 15 Comments

Note: Sephora Hong Kong has been closed since March 2010

I’m a little late with this bit of happy news for beauty lovers but Sephora is finally open in Hong Kong! When I was last in Hong Kong, I saw the facade of the store which was still under renovation.

Sephora Hong Kong

The store was opened on Sept 23 and I’ve just stumbled on it. Better late than never eh? 🙂

Sephora as many of us are aware, is a huge cosmetics store that sells cosmetics and skincare from many high end brands. While many of us may be familiar with the USA online Sephora store, you might not realise that Sephora is actually from Paris, France.

I browsed the Sephora Hong Kong website and was quite gratified that they are carrying a TON of brands, including those previously unavailable in Hong Kong e.g. Stila! However, a quick browse through the brand list tells me that there still many more brands missing from the list and the list seems to mainly consist of perfumes and skincare brands. Sephora does not look to be the place to go for the Asian brands though so I cannot see Sasa and Bonjour getting threatened just yet.

Still, for us in the South East Asian region, Sephora Hong Kong will be the cloest we will get to shopping at the store we always read about online. I would probably visit it if I go to Hong Kong again, but I doubt I’ll be buying anything from it that I can’t get at any other department store elsewhere.

You can read about its opening here and Sephora Hong Kong is located at Mong Kok (near the Mongkok MTR exit onto Sai Yeung Choi Street South.

Address: Hollywood Plaza, 610 Nathan Road, Mong Kok, Kowloon (entrance on Sai Yeung Choi Street South, opposite Broadway Cinema).

All the more reason for a trip to Hong Kong now 😉 However, as you said, this Sephora doesn’t offer THAT many brands yet (esp. makeup – where’s Cargo, Urban Decay, Tarte?) so I might end up not buying anything anyways.
Btw I never knew that Stila wasn’t available in HK. Looks like we have the upper hand here :p

A little birdy told me that next year there will be a Sephora in Singapore – around Feb/Mar or something like that, so hopefully more Sephora’s will be opening in South East Asia soon – I know I can’t wait! 😀

@Beauty Fool: Ah Singapore! Even nearer – thanks!

I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskinca I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskincare Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It blew my mind away! Soothes skin. Boosts hydration and just makes you feel like you have the best skin ever! Not kidding. If you have a spot or irritated skin, it calms it down and helps get rid of your spots too. Honey is anti bacterial after all, so it’s a great multitasker.
I also love the Manuka Honey Skin brightening Day Cream. It’s light but creamy and sinks into the skin. I’ve reviewed them both on the blog in the past. If you run a search for Antipodes, you’d also notice how much I love the brand! 😁
I’m super late with this but if you’re planning to purchase any of these 3 Manuka honey items from TNS Skinlab, the code MYWSTUFF10 will give you an extra 10% off (until tomorrow 31 Dec) I highly recommend grabbing the Aura mask. You’ll never want to be without (I always have a backup!)
Thanks for the gift @tnsskinlab and I must apologise for my tardiness 😩 I’ll learn to cope better from next week!
Now I have to scuttle and write my year end musings. Some traditions must be kept! 😜
Tell me your fave Antipdoes skincare product!

It’s my first year doing retail and honestly, I’d never been so busy! The year-end rush is unreal! But busy is good, right? At least that’s what I tell myself 😂
While I pack up gift boxes of treats for doggies 🐶 (I’ve tied so many ribbons I’ve finally started to get it right!) #loccitanemalaysia makes it easy to shop for humans 😅 at experienceloccitane.com with their L’Occitane en Demande service. Place your order, and pick up in store or have it delivered.
Had a bit of breather today and put together a little video. Blink and miss my little monster 🐶 helping me shop! Not sponsored but I did receive a gift from L’Occitane, for which my sun-exposed, dry dog-walking skin thanks you!
Haven’t done any Christmas shopping this year. It has only just struck me that it’s but mere days away! 😨 Have you done yours?
