I was walking around in Bangsar and saw a store called Ministry of Strip which is a store that does waxing, including brazilian waxes. I was quite surprised to see it, for things like Brazilian waxes aren’t things that are advertised openly here.
For the uninitiated, a Brazilian wax is the waxing of the pubic hair or bikini area. Sounds painful eh? It is, I heard. Someone I know tried to do it herself instead of paying a professional, and could not get out of the house for a week! I’m not kidding! You don’t really want to be messing around with hot wax or wax strips down below.
If you have heard of a Brazilian wax and are interested to try it, it would be a good idea to do some research about it online first, so you have an idea what to expect. You could read my Brazilian Waxing Guide to read up about what it is and what it entails.
A Brazilian wax is a scary thought for me. However, it might not be for you, especially if you enjoy wearing bikinis or swimsuits that are cut high on the legs. Getting a Brazilian wax may be the best way to hide any unsightly bumps from shaving, or unwanted stray hairs.

I just did it for first time. Very true, It is painfull (ouch!) but bearable…hehe. I did it for only RM50..so cheap at Zeta Saloon, Kompleks Niaga, Bangsar. The girls name is Suhaila..she’s good. I will continue doing it because its clean and my husband will definately like it babe!
I do full wax down under every 3 weeks-1 month.
It hurts when I just started, but now, I’m used to it.
Anything’s better than eyebrow threading (Which, btw I’ve stopped doing as it is disgusting).
The thing is, since my return to KL, I find that the hygiene level is so low. Even at the exclusive waxing centers, It’s just impeccable. And the fees are ridiculous. What say you?

I just did mine in a newly opened beuty saloon in Bangsar. They were good. No double DIP which was excellent. Simply bcos I have tried many places and they say NO Double DIP but they still DOUBLE dip and gives me rashes after brazilian but for the first time after 5 years I tried in this saloon, they we simply amazing.. No rashes and it was clean.. They also gave me an after care applicator which will prevent ingrown hair.. was just nice.. after 3 weeks im going again 😀

Just wanted too share my first brazillian experience to help those who are feeling a little nervous like I was!
After reading various reviews online I decided to take 2 panadol forte (stronger pain relief than normal panandol) an hour prior to my appt. I must say the whole day leading up to my appointment I was absolutley shitting myself, I kept thinking why am I doing this to myself and worrying that maybe my ‘downstairs’ will look different to everyone else’s.
Firstly the panadol forte was a good idea, as the pain was probably just the same as an eyebrow wax! I think it did help ease the pain a bit. It may be good to note the longer the hair the more painful it will be!
I was left in the room by myself, asked to put a black meshy disposable g-string and lye down with a towel covering my groin area. The lady was very professional and I made sure to keep the conversation going to avoid any awkwardness. I also let her know that it was my first time and she was very understanding. I told her about my fear that I thought I may not be normal ‘downstairs’ and she just laughed at me but said it was a common first-timer thought. She asked me to pull the g-string away to one side and vice versa ( as she moved from waxing one side to the other). After the wax was complete she lay the towel back over my groin area and left the room allowing me to put my clothes back on.
All up it was definitely not as scary, intimidating or nerve-racking as I thought it would be. My only advice would be to tell the beautician that it’s your first time and take some pain relief before hand – just to be safe!

I have been a loyal customer of Strip The Curve for 3 years. Last Tuesday (01/05) I decided to try Strip Sunway Pyramid for the first time since it is closer to my house.
I booked a brazilian wax session at 12.30pm but when I came to the branch at 12.29pm sharp, the reception told me to wait for 10 minutes. I was a bit upset because this situation never happend at the Curve branch. Each time i booked a session, the session was always ontime. But since it was on public holiday, I decided to wait while browsing around the mall. Finally at 12.40pm they called me to let me know the session could started.
The therapist appointed for my session was Ms. Yvonne Lua. From the beginning of the session, I explained to her that my V skin is quite sensitive. Therefore, the therapist at Curve usually wait until the wax temperature was suitable before applying to my skin. Instead of taking note of my reminder, she claimed that my condition was strange and gave me suggestions which Strip products i should buy. The therapist at Curve never does this. Each time i go there and have my sessions with different therapist they always understand this situation and be more aware to my reaction during the session. They would asked me first whether the wax was too hot and they will adjust the temperature by blowing the wax it if it was.
As the session continued, the therapist treated me very roughly and she didn’t even bother to touch my skin after pulling the wax strip, when actually this action can really reduce the pain. In the middle of the session, suddenly my skin was bleeding. I was very shocked and started feeling like my skin was burning. The therapist looked panic but instead of being more gentle she tried to strip faster which made it even more painful. I did complain to her to be more gentle. But again, instead of listening to her customer, she complained that it’s my skin sensitiveness that cause the bleeding. Again, this never happends at Curve.
After the session, my V skin felt numb,burnt and itchy for the whole day. When i got home i put some ice and antiseptic cream to make it better. Only on the next morning it felt better although still a little numb.
I have passed this complaint to the manager at Sunway, but instead of appologizing or giving any sympathy, she claimed that the bleeding happened because it had been a while since my last brazilian waxing session so that the hair had grown too long. I find this excuse unacceptable, as the therapist at The Curve never cause any bleeding on my skin even on the first session I have ever had in my whole life, which logically during that time my hair would be even longer.
I am very dissapointed that Strip, an international franchise, put a very low standard for their Sunway branch. I have trusted the company for 3 years to treat the most sensitive part of my body, but this experience had made me lost my trust into Strip and prefer to go to Honeypot or other reputable waxing boutique.
finally !!! i did braziliian waxing in strip bangsar. love the fact they are very professional and they very hygienic *they change de spatula every usage. yeah its painful bt its bearable went they put their hand on de place they juz waxed so dun to to worry 🙂 it lasted abt abr 25 min once they done its super clean n they apply serum priced rm18 after waxed down part will b super duper smooth n if u press its like jelly ! lolx bt de other waxing their price is soo expensive so i juz prefer to do brazillian wax only at strip bangsar. if its bushy it will take some time to get it done completely they will use hard wax which is pricey rm114.50 bt once u vf thinner hair growth they will do soft wax. so good luck ladies 😀
