You know how some products are like a slow burn? They look ‘meh’ to you at first, but then as you go along and use it, it suddenly wriggles and nestles itself into your routine. This is how I feel about the By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick Foundation.

At first, I was a little scornful of it.

“Here is another gimmick product!” I thought during the product launch a few months ago. Not content with just making a stick foundation, By Terry has made it dual-function. Half of the stick is a foundation, and the other half is a highlight.

“Won’t all that shine make me look like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz?” I wondered to myself. It would have been rude to voice it, I think 😛

However, as it turned out, I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong.

After last week’s marathon blog content, I think you’re about as wiped as I am LOL! I haven’t blogged daily for a couple of years now, and I’d forgotten how much it really takes out of a person. I take my hats off to all the bloggers who are still churning out daily content, because guys, you deserve all the accolades you get. I can’t go there again. It’s too draining – physically and mentally.

With this in mind, I thought it would be nice to kick back with some little beauty hors d’oeuvres, or bite-sized appetizers in the beauty world. These are little snack-bites of some upcoming new releases that you can keep an eye out for, if it catches your fancy.

I am going to be trite and say this “I cannot believe that we are halfway through February 2018!” Is it me, or is 2018 flying by a little too quickly for comfort? Slow down! I want to cry. And I guess I will have some time to slow down soon, with the Lunar New Year festivities upon us.

This year, the barking Dog chases the Rooster out of our home, and I will be taking a few days off, as I do at this time of year, to celebrate the festivities and spend time at home with the family. But before I leave you for the festivities, I wanted to quickly share some things I’ve been loving, that I think you might love too! Or at least, some things you can save your ang pow money for 😀 I’ve made sure that they’re (mostly) permanent products because I despise the limited edition push to buy NOW, as much as anyone else.

There are a couple of items that I may elaborate on in future review (holler, if there is one you want to see in greater depth!) but I wanted to make sure I told you about these things, some of which I’ve been using for months now, and thoroughly loving to bits! 😀

Someone once told me that perfumes were the easiest things to write about. You just had to show off a few pictures, copy what the press release says about scent notes, and say when it was available and voila! You have a blog post.

I however beg to differ, for I’m one of those who’d much rather experience a product before sharing my thoughts about it with the world. So, perfumes, like skincare and makeup takes time, because I like to immerse myself in it and then tell people about it.

It’s just as well I waited, for my thoughts on the Terry de Gunzburg Thé Glacé Aqua Parfum scent has changed from day to day, as I’m sure it will for you. Incidentally, “Thé Glacé” translates from French to “Iced Tea” and there is no name more apt than for this refreshing fragrance 🙂
