I haven’t been using my Vitamin E as an intensive moisturiser for a while and I think I should get back to using it at least once a week. Its one of those things you forget if you don’t make it routine.
Anyway, I’ve since found another use for my Colonial Dames Vitamin E oil, which is as a lip treatment.
I’ve found my lips drying out during the day due mainly to sitting in an air-conditioned office the whole day. Then, it doesn’t help that at night, the air-conditioning is on too.
So, every night, before I sleep, I’ll squeeze out a tiny pump of thick Vitamin E oil and liberally slather it on my lips. The next morning, I wake up to plump soft supple lips. I kid you not!
I don’t use this in the day because I’ve got lipstick or gloss on. However, on weekends, I sometimes apply some during the day too. Its thick and goopy but sinks into the lips after a while. I like that there is no smell or taste so it doesn’t bug me one bit.
Works a million times better than Khiel’s lip balm or any lip balm for that matter, and I only wish I could find pure Vitamin E in a tube so I can carry it on the go! Try it. You won’t look back. 🙂
Note: Some people have reported allergies to pure Vitamin E where their lips peel. I’m not sure what causes it but do be careful if you aren’t sure.
