Pure Vitamin E oil lip treatment

April 23, 2008 Paris B 11 Comments

I haven’t been using my Vitamin E as an intensive moisturiser for a while and I think I should get back to using it at least once a week. Its one of those things you forget if you don’t make it routine.

Anyway, I’ve since found another use for my Colonial Dames Vitamin E oil, which is as a lip treatment.

I’ve found my lips drying out during the day due mainly to sitting in an air-conditioned office the whole day. Then, it doesn’t help that at night, the air-conditioning is on too.

So, every night, before I sleep, I’ll squeeze out a tiny pump of thick Vitamin E oil and liberally slather it on my lips. The next morning, I wake up to plump soft supple lips. I kid you not!

I don’t use this in the day because I’ve got lipstick or gloss on. However, on weekends, I sometimes apply some during the day too. Its thick and goopy but sinks into the lips after a while. I like that there is no smell or taste so it doesn’t bug me one bit.

Works a million times better than Khiel’s lip balm or any lip balm for that matter, and I only wish I could find pure Vitamin E in a tube so I can carry it on the go! Try it. You won’t look back. 🙂

Note: Some people have reported allergies to pure Vitamin E where their lips peel. I’m not sure what causes it but do be careful if you aren’t sure.

That’s a great idea! I bought this after your review a long time ago, and yeah I thought it was good when it minimised the fine lines around my eyes. I’m going to try this out too. Thanks! 🙂

jojoba and paris… haha.. i was desperate coz i really want to take off my eye make up and had juz learned that fragrance was the main caused of the eye irritation. since im on a student budget and juz discovered that the vit e has no fragrance, i used it anyway

yeah, i used it cleansing oil style. and again, on a student budget, i bought one wif less iu, 17,500. so i guess it’s less greasy than the 39000 iu, i assume?

well, as a student, i experiment wif a lot of stuff… so i find this very helpful for me… hehe.. am i doing the right thing here? im so afraid if what i did is a big no-no in skin care/eye care… 🙂

i use burt’s bees lip balm for my lips and it works well, which is good news for someone whose lips are so dry that normal drugstore brands do not work at all. i have kiehl’s lip balm too but it doesn’t work and i’ve stopped using it. It’s awfully expensive, and over 66% of it is petrolatum. Later I realised that petrolatum doesn’t moisturise, it only prevents moisture from leaving the skin.

if you can, give burt’s bees a try?

I bought some organic vitamin E oil, and it worked great for my face overall and healed my acne FAST. I felt like randomly putting some on my lips and it works AMAZING(:. I love ittt. I prefer that instead of ANY chapstick. I put it on before bed after I brush my teeth(:

I have been using e oil upon my lips for around five years and my upper lip, which was thinnish is now much plumper. I also only use it before bed and after brushing my teeth with an electric brush l also place the brush upon my blood gently for around ten seconds. It has worked for me, but as another poster has written, done may be allergic to e oil, so take care.
