Come, let me share something unusual with you, that I found myself liking. A gel cleanser that does not lather yet cleans well without drying and works too as a mask. Intrigued?
Introducing the Kuan Yuan Lian Loofah Essence Hydrating Cleanser available at Pattybelle (no longer in business). When I first received it, I thought it was a tube of aloe vera gel. It certainly looks and smells that way.
The problem with the label is that it is mostly in Chinese so if you can’t read Chinese, there is nothing to tell you what this item is or how to use it. Pattybelle has translated it into English on her site but essentially, here’s how I use the Kuan Yuan Lian Loofah Essence cleanser:-
- Use it as a gel cleanser – pour a little into your palms, spread on wet face and rinse off. It does not lather up, but it does clean your skin and importantly does not leave it feeling dry.
- Use it as a moisture mask – Apply a thick layer all over your face, leave on for about 10 minutes then rinse off. I do this in the shower sometimes. My skin feels light and cool when I use it this way.
To my surprise, I rather liked this gel cleanser. I was a bit of a sceptic initially. The gel goes on your skin and cools it down a treat if you leave it on a little while. There is a slight tingling feel around my lips but its not unpleasant and it is otherwise very mild.
