Spring 2010 : Dior Dentelle Collection and Extase Mascara

January 6, 2010 Paris B 34 Comments

  • Save

For Spring 2010, Dior has drawn upon the ultimate image of feminity – lace. The lace imagery is imposed on all their spring 2010 products giving them a delicate touch. However, colours aren’t kept too light and pastel, unlike Spring 2009 so I’m quite happy with this. Pastel or light shades don’t work well for everyone. Some stock photos are shown after the jump and please be warned that this is a very picture heavy post!

  • Save

The star product for Spring 2010 is the Dior Poudrier Dentelle illuminating lace powder for the face. Its not a blush but a highlighter powder to illuminate the skin. I reckon it should be used along the lines of the Dior shimmer powder but it could work as a light blush if you have light skintone. I haven’t had the heart to touch the powder. Should I? 😛 Dior Poudrier Dentelle comes in 2 shades – Pink Lace and Peach Lace – if you’re a collector, Pink Lace is much prettier 😉

I also like the look of the eyeshadow palettes. The 5 colour iridescent palette for the Dentelle collection in Dentelle Pearl Glow is pictured below in greater detail.

  • Save

Again, no heart to touch it to show swatches yet 😛 There is another palette Dentelle Coquette which has warmer shades and a duo eyeshadow and blush.

I’ve prepared a selection of images from the Dior Spring 2010 Collection with names and prices below.

Dior Spring 2010 Dentelle Collection:-

1 – Dior Poudrier Dentelle – Pink Lace 001 (RM186)
2 – Dior Poudrier Dentelle – Peach Lace 002 (RM186)
3 – Dior Vernis Pink Ballet 184 (RM69)
4 – Dior Vernis Silver Pearl 604 (RM69)
5 – Dior 5 Couleurs Iridescent Dentelle Edition Pearl Glow 059 (RM194)
6 – Dior 5 Couleurs Dentelle Edition Coquette 743 (RM194)
7 – Diorblush Edition Dentelle Vintage Pink / Rose Vintage 839 (RM128)
8 – Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm (RM85)
9 – Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect 857 Pink Corset (RM84)
10 – Dior Addict Lipstick 863 (RM88)
11 – Dior Addict High Colour Lipstick 417 Beige Temptation (RM88)

The prices reflect Dior’s regular products so for a luxury brand, I’m not too fussed. I’m in fact very happy that the star product this Spring is gorgeous AND relatively affordable compared to the Lady Dior compact (Spring 2009). Dior has certainly set the standard for Spring 2010. Let’s see how the other brands fare in time to come 🙂

And for some who asked before, here’s a picture of the outside of the Poudrier Dentelle case. I’ve decided to tell you about the new Extase volumizing mascara in another post 🙂

  • Save

The Poudrier Dentelle case is metal with that gorgeous lace design embossed on it and its quite heavy. There’s a huge mirror inside but no applicator. I’d suggest you use a large fluffy brush for an all over illumination and a blush brush if you want to use as blush.

So tell me. Do you want swatches of the Dior Dentelle Poudrier Pink Lace and 5 Couleurs Iridescent Pearl Glow palettes? You do realize that means I’d have to delve right in and defile it right? 😛

What ‘cha think?

    Hi Paris,

    Too pretty to touch!

Suggestion : Why don’t you get the swatches from counter and take snapshot from there? 😉

    cheers,

Those are gorgeous! I’d like to see swatches but it’s such a shame to ruin the pretty pattern. I wouldn’t have the heart to do it either.

I must agree with you. So, I tried to disturb the pattern as little as possible 🙂

Hi Paris, I love your write ups. Really helpful. I know this is an old post but I’m trying to find the Dior creme de rose lip balm in Msia, sadly, haven’t had any luck. Any suggestions about which outlet might carry it? Thanks for your help.

Hi Stareeni, I remember the product you mention but if I’m not mistaken, its either discontinued or was a limited edition item. If its not at the counters then its likely its no longer available.

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
