Hi everyone!
Ok, I have been teasing you with the Save the Date mentions on Facebook and Twitter for a while but today, you get to know what is happening on 8 March 2014!
MWS turns 7 this year in March and I wanted to do something different. I wanted to give the chance to some of you to experience some of the fun I experience as a blogger, and one of the fun things is a makeup workshop to learn about makeup!
Just for MWS readers, Bobbi Brown Malaysia will be running a Masterclass for Back to Basics makeup lessons where 8 very lucky readers will be able to attend the event, and learn some basics of skincare, makeup and foundation. I sat down with the people from BB and told them that a short course on the basics would be very helpful because learning about skin and foundation is of course the foundation of good makeup right? 🙂
Due to space constraints, we only have space for 8 of you 🙁 So if the date, time and topic suits you, take part in the quick contest below and we’ll pick 8 of you lucky ladies to join us on the day 🙂
Details of the #MWSxBB Masterclass event is as below.
If you are certain of joining us on the day, here’s what you have to do:-
Leave a comment below telling us what is 1 thing you wish you knew about foundation.
We’ll pick 8 of you and all winners will be contacted by email and we’d appreciate if you could confirm your attendance quickly, as space is so limited. If you’re active on social media (FB, Twitter, Instagram) use the #MWSxBB hashtag and we’ll be able to find you there 🙂
Some quick things to note:-
- Deadline to enter is 12noon 23 February 2014 (Sunday)
- Open to anyone who is able to confirm their attendance at Pavilion KL at 10am on 8 March 2014 (Saturday)
- 8 Winners will be picked from the entries and all decisions are final.
- Winners have 48 hours to respond to confirm their attendance or another winner will be picked in their place.

Have fun and I’m looking forward to meeting you on 8 March 2014! 😀

I have been wearing make up on stage and off stage but the ONE THING I wish I knew about foundation is how to keep it flawless without looking like you have piled hundreds of concealers/primers/setting sprays and junk on your face in this oh so beautiful humid weather of ours—- but still end up with fresh, glowing, flawless skin!

I wish I know the advantages of foundation comparing BB cream and found one which can that suit my skin tone without caking and give me oily skin.

The one thing I wish I knew about foundation was how to choose the right colour! It’s always too light, too dark, too pink, too yellow. I just want to look as natural and flawless as possible! Is that too much to ask? 🙁
I need to attend this so I can stop wasting money on buying the wrong shades and ending up having to throw it away haha.

One thing I wish I knew about foundation is how much I should use to get the even skin look.
It’s one thing about choosing the right colour, it’s also important to know HOW to use it!

I wish I knew years ago that I was not fooling anyone into thinking I had flawless complexion just because I caked on my foundation

Hi Paris, pretty new to the blog, but am very interested to join the class, hence this ‘virgin’ comment 🙂
The one thing I would love to know bout foundation is how different form/texture of foundation (cream, powder, mineral and etc) can be match again different skin type (oily, dry, combination n etc) and what are the reasons for that, for eg, dry skin type are recommended to use cream type of foundation because of the ingredient etc etc etc. Thank you.

I want to know what makes a foundation tick *snaps finger like a fashionista*. I am on the constant search for a foundation that is refreshing, not heavy, dewy with a medium coverage that blends with and into the skin and does not stay on top of the skin like a film of grease. A foundation that does not oxidise is a modern day person’s best friend. It helps us to remain at the top of our game but at the same time assists us in looking presentable. They say behind every man, there is a strong woman, but I believe that behind every strong woman, there is her foundation helping her to quit worrying about her make up and helping her to focus on the task at hand. Which is to be faabuloussss.

Wish I knew how to pick the right foundation colour for my skin and not end up looking like I have a mask on, or worse, that I am performing in an opera show!

I wish to know the correct foundation application technique for different skin type or different areas of the face e.g., combination-dry skin (T-zone vs cheeks).
Thanks!
Ping.

I won’t be around the weekend of the 8th of March, but what I really want to know about foundation is: when are they going to make one that applies itself in the morning while I’m brushing my teeth? Limited time, too groggy for detail work, etc.

Hi!
I wish to know how to use foundation to achieve dewy looking skin 🙂 but not oily!

One thing I wish I knew about foundation is whether it is still necessary when we already have concealer, the optional primer (which seems lighter) and face powder (spritzed with water to seal in).

My greatest challenge is mastering the undertone. I have read somewhere that the color of your veins is a good indicator (blue – cool, green – warm, blue and green – neutral) yet I still struggle. I wish I can clarify if I really belong to the neutral group. 🙂
