Hullo hullo! More celebratory fun ensues! This time, I wanted to share with one lucky winner 2 makeup items which are things I particularly love – blush and brushes. The blush is a Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Temptation which is a rather deep rose that I picked for being flattering on most skintones, although light skintones may find it a challenge. The brush kit was a gift from Shiseido and isn’t branded, but the brushes are lovely items that I know you’ll enjoy using.
What is this giveaway for? Last thing I bought was Senka Perfect Whip Facial Cleanser. So far I think it is fun to play with the dense foam, but i think it is insufficient for oily skin like me. So I only use it in the morning. Skin is not tight after face wash but it didn’t make me feel fantastic (but love the dense foam of course, haha).
After reading your review on Real Technique Brushes, I went to get myself a travel set. Omg I think I got too excited after reading your review, because I haven’t even start using any brush. Haha, gonna start using it soon! LOL. Btw, I really wanna purchase skincare that recommended by you, but I don’t have the same skin type as yours, so I dare not purchase anything. *sigh*

1. The last makeup I bought was a YSL Rouge Volupte Perle for my mother. The packaging was divine and she loved how hydrating it is. For myself, it’s been a while, but my last purchase was the Overnight Repair Serum by Dermalogica. I actually think you’ll like it a lot, it has an oil consistency, with peptides, argan oil, and a bunch of other oils in it. I usually mix 2 drops into my Murad Essential-C Night Moisture, and it seems to keep me from looking like a corpse even if I’ve worked till 4 in the morning. 😉
2. I’ve bought both the ANR and the Perfectionist from Estee Lauder from your reviews, the ANR I loved, but I didn’t really like the consistency of the Perfectionist, and I suppose I’m not yet in my thirties for it to work?! (Damn I should have listened LOL). I’ve been wanting to try the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate but I can’t seem to brace myself (or my wallet) to fork out for it, haha.
Also, on the topic of brushes, I’ve noticed that you don’t do a lot of reviews on those… But seeing as you do splurge on high-end makeup items sometimes, if you’d ever like to upgrade your brushes, I’d definitely recommend you to check out sweetmakeuptemptations!! She’s awesome and I love her. I am sure you will drool over her reviews too.;)))
Cheers Paris!

First off, thanks for making this Giveaway worldwide! 🙂
On to your questions…(1) I think the last item I bought was an essie nailpolish in “blanc”.
(2)And yes you did influence me with your reviews a lot… the one I remember most clearly being the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Relief. I did buy it and quite liked it. The texture was a bit unusual at first. I think it´s an awesome item for summer, but my skin definitely needs heavier stuff during the autumn and winter days.
Have a nice day~

1. The last item i bought was the EL Night Eye Cream (brown packaging). I can’t remember the full name though.
2. Yes, i love your honest review for skincare like EL ANR – old version, Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Shiseido Sunscreen and all work wonders for me as well.

The last skincare item that I bought was Hada Labo UV Whitening Emulsion SPF50+ PA+++ (the blue bottle one) cos you reviewed it and it’s your second favorite compared to the Shiseido one.
I really love the consistency of the Hada Labo sunblock and was a bit surprise actually cos I’ve never use a liquid sunblock before. But I love that it doesn’t leave any shine once apply and it dried matte on me. Oh yes, I’m very influenced by your reviews cos I know I can trust you 😉 and maybe I’ll upgrade to Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA+++ after Hada Labo’s finish!
Thanks so much, Paris for doing these giveaways 🙂

1. The last skincare item that I bought was Melvita cleansing milk and rose extraordinary water! Sadly the Rose Floral Water is out of stock again. 🙁
2. Your blog is the first that site that I open every single day! I’ve lost count of the things that I am influenced and succumbed to get after reading your reviews. Case in point, refer to no.1 – read about Melvita from your site as well. My purse is weeping at the recent buy for the Guerlain BB Booster as well as the Madame Rougit 4 Colors Blush. No complaints on the BB Booster as it just seems to last on my skin!

1. Last item bought is Antipodes’ Kiwi Seed Eye Cream.
Usually prefer eye gel as I tend to develop oil seeds/ milia with eye cream but this product wow-ed me with its light texture and great hydration properties.
2. Definitely YES. First and best one is the Shiseido Foundation Brush – love it so much – only downside is how long it takes to dry after washing. Last one is Sensibio Cleansing water – neutral on it.

The last make up item I’ve bought is NARS blusher (Orgasm).. And it’s been almost 2 month since I’ve got it while on a trip to BKK. I am madly in love the colour.
Yes I’ve always been tempted to buy the stuff you’ve reviewed and hv never been disappointed with your reviews and recommendation. I love your save and splurge section the best! It provide alternative for me…..Thank you!

I bought an eyeliner pencil from a chemist in Australia as I forgot mine. Cheap and served its purpose so yeah, I liked it!
I just recently stumbled on your blog and will check back for future reviews though I’m not into expensive products.

Hiya Paris,
1. Last makeup purchase: MAC Technakohl eyeliner in Graphblack. I love that tightlining is a breeze with it!
2. Yup! More than once! My fav so far is the RMK eyelash curler! With its RM35 price tag, I feel like buying a few spares for travelling. 😀

1. Bought Clinique Moisture Surge online early this month. I like the texture but it does not feel moisturising enough. I dislike the jar packaging too. Still considering whether to stick with it or to give it to my mum.
2. Yes. I bought the ANR and Clinique Even Better serum for dark spots after reading your review and they did work for me. Am already on 3rd bottle of ANR and contemplating on buying another bottle of Clinique’s.

What was the last makeup or skincare item you bought and did you like it?
The last skin care item I bought is Avene Thermal Spring Water and I love it! Avene products really caught my heart! I will continue to buy their thermal spring water. 🙂
Have you been influenced by a review here on MWS to purchase anything and if so, did it work for you?
I will read your reviews before buying, since I had bad experience that I spent money to buy expensive skin care products and found that the products do not suit my skin. From your review, I can have a rough idea on the effectiveness and usefulness of the products, hence I can make better decision on buying beauty stuffs.

Hmm the last make up item i bought was Covergirl mascara, the clumpcrusher by lashblast. I wasn’t really a huge fan. It kept the clumping down but I’ve had mascaras that added more lenght and thickness and kept clumping to a similar level.
I actually recently purchased quite a few items because of your reviews. Notably the Shiseido Camellia Compact which I absolutely loved!
SH says
1. It is the Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate, and I love, love, love it so much that I have already purchased my 2nd bottle (as it was a good deal).
2. And i bought it to try because i read about it first from your blog!
Honey says
1) The last skincare item I bought was the 100% Hyaluronic Acid complex from Toly Moly as my skin has been having an extremely dry spell. I think it is helping with the hydration as I can see my deep lines reducing.
2) Do I even need to answer this question??! I have tons of products which I’m currently using which I bought based on your reviews. Need I say more? But the one product I really like is the Laneige sun powder SPF50+. With this I could easily top up my sun screen during the day if I need to go out for appointments

My last make up product would be BB cream from Hada Labo. Yes, I’d love it as my first application before further make-up. It gives a natural look on my face.
Definitely yes!Indeed, I bought Hada Labo BB cream after reading your review on it.As I meantioned above, it is undoubtedly a good product!
