Oh hello there, it’s October and that means, giveaway time! Hip hip hooray!
Regulars may have noticed something missing this year from our regular schedule. Yes, we’re missing the MWS Reader’s Choice Awards which I’ve run for 2 years now but couldn’t this year due to various reasons which I won’t bore you with here. Perhaps next year, it’ll make a comeback. Maybe, if I grow an extra arm or two… feel free to volunteer your services.
But what also happens at around this time every year are giveaways 🙂 I don’t run many on my blog, as you will notice. I save them up for special occasions and October is always very special for me. So there’ll be a few giveaways lined up to thank you for sticking by me all this time, despite the lack of giveaways and interactions others have with readers 🙂
I’m not telling you how many there are or when they’ll appear. You’d have to keep your eyes peeled and stay locked into one of our update channels (namely Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) because there maybe some that are just blink and miss! Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉 This giveaway is hosted by me and sponsored by me so I’ll be giving out some gift packages of various items, all of which will contain at least one personal favourite.
Kicking things off is this Tantalizing Trio which can be worn in all seasons (I take care of both Northern AND Southern hemispheres!) and is therefore, naturally open WORLDWIDE! Hop along, you know you want to.

1. I’m from Malaysia. I’m a Penang girl at heart so Penang Assam Laksa comes to mind as one of the more popular dishes. I love the spicy and sour notes of it.
2. I love how you write. You come across friendly and relatable, and your posts have great information. Your website is the one I’ll go to when I’m looking for great skincare products to purchase. A huge bonus is, based on products I purchased from your recommendations, we actually share the same skin type and tone; that’s very rare.

Right now I’m in my home country Lithuania. It’s a small, heart-shaped country on the coast of the Baltic Sea (Europe). Since here autumn is on a roll, we’re looking for warmth! Most popular dish this time of year is soup – many varieties, actually. Most common soups here are vegetable/chicken stock based, with a variety of veggies and mushrooms. In our household it’s the season of beet soup with seasonal mushrooms (we pick our own in the forest), potatoes and, of course, beets! It can be eaten on its own, with a piece of dark rye bread of with a dollop of sour-cream. The soup for me is super fall-ish because of its rich purple-burgundy color and the taste of freshly picked mushrooms.
As for MWS – I’ve been reading this blog for a WHILE. To me, it’s one of the very, very few beauty blogs that’s truly sophisticated and elegant. Since I’m not a trend follower, or a girly person, I always look for feminine, chic content. And MWS never fails to deliver! Everything from reviews, apparel to discussions is sophisticated and delightful to read. Not only that, my beauty ‘stash’ has quite a few items that were recommended on this blog, and I am yet to be disappointed with any of the recommendations. It’s an absolute pleasure reading MWS over a cup of tea!

1. I live in Sarawak and our famous dish is of course, the Laksa Sarawak. It is definitely the best Laksa in the whole wide world. I have to get my weekend fix of Laksa Sarawak every week, I love it too much!!!
2. I return to My Women Stuff because the reviews vary from skincare to make-up and the fair amount of discussions. Also, you interact with your readers quite a lot so that’s a plus! The main reason though is because your reviews are usually spot on and I just love how you keep a more broad minded view on the things you’re talking abt and you speak of it from a lot of different aspects.

Hi Paris B! I would say the popular food or dish that I’m enjoying at the place where I live will be Assam Laksa! I’m in love with spicy yet sour taste that Assam Laksa got and I will always go for it if I can!
I always love reading your blog reviews which are honest and real. And sometimes from there, it actually give me some ideas about some new beauty products or stuffs which I may not know yet. Thanks for all the sharing.

1) I live in Istanbul and one my favourite dishes here is tzatziki which is made with strained yogurt, olive oil, garlic, cucumbers and some people add mint too. It’s so refreshing and tasty.
2) I really like your opinions on products and the way you review them.

1. Definitely Malaysia’s Bak Kut Teh! My mouth is already watering even when I’m typing this! LOL!
2. Your totally honest and quirky reviews makes me come back for more! I like that you aren’t affected much by hypes and dare to voice out what you don’t like about a product even if it has received raving reviews from others. In a nutshell, you’ve got style babe! 😛

1. Food? I love all food. Right now I’m craving soups and noodles because the rainy season in Seattle has begun…ugh.
2. I love your open, candid discussions and the way you tackle topics that aren’t always brought up. Keep doing what you do, Paris!

I’m from Johor , I don’t have any particular favorite food. As for me, every places, every stall, even selling the same food, they got their own unique taste. I like the famous Pontian Wanton Noodles , their tomato sauce noodle taste good and special . I tried some others who tried to “copy cat” but they never achieve the same taste as the original one. You should try it someday Paris! They sold out quite early so you must be quick <3
I like reading product reviews, no matter blogs or videos. I don't wish to spend tons of money on products that I do not understand. I discover your blog a year ago , when i was searching the perfect sunscreen 🙂 and we share the same favorite if you know what i mean XD … Thank you and good luck !

1. i live in Batu Pahat. 1 of the popular food here is kuey chap, an very old shop opened opposite of temple ‘mah zoh’. It is a little bit similar to kuey tiao soup but this ‘kuey tiao’ is larger in size. And the soup is dark brown in colour. We normally eat it together with some side dishes like braised pork, eggs, dried taufu or some inner of animals, you can choose according to your preference. besides, try add in some boss self making chili which i think enhance the flavour.
2. I return because of your honesty. And you did comparison between products according to price, quality, skin suitability. You also stated similarities and differences among products. Besides, you have the courage to try many kind of products range from low end to high end which suitable for different level of people.

In the U.S., the cronut is becoming extremely popular (but I have yet to try one!) As a reader for this blog for three years, I think an organized list of products and swatches would definitely make me come back- it’d allow me to use the site as a resource to search for products I might want to try!

Hey,
Lovely giveaway. Where I live “Rajma Chawal” is very popular. It is called Beans curry & Rice in English. Is amazing if spicy 😉 Indian food. 🙂 🙂 I LURRRV IT!
I often come back to MWS because of the write up. I really like the way you write. The pictures are amazing. So, it is very pleasing and not boring at all. 🙂 Keep it up. Plus, the posts are useful and have always been informative/helpful to me in one way or another.
Thank YOU!!!

I’m from the United States, specifically the State of New York and cronuts, or a cross between a croissant and a donut are super popular here right now!
I got to this page searching for make-up reviews/tips, tutorials etc and I just bookmarked this page because it’s perfect!

1.I am from Israel so try krembo-it is a chocolate coasted sweet filled with cream with a cookie at the bottom
2.I would love to return if you keep posting the reviews,I really love hearing what your honest opinion is!

Thanks for hosting this giveaway, that lip color is dynamite!
1. I live in northern California, so I can’t say we’re too in vogue as far as the latest and greatest foods go (lots of east Asians in the Silicon Valley). Cronuts are fast becoming “a thing” on the east coast and in southern California (SoCal, if you will) though, so we might get them any day now haha!
2. I come back for down to earth reviews on high end brands that I can’t afford (it’s great to hear that they’re mostly just hype sometimes!) and for the fact that you respond to a lot of your comments! It’s always nice to feel like we’re having a conversation, rather than feeling like I’m just fawning over you or your opinions.

As you know, I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and here there isn’t really a local dish – more like a mix of everything. But one thing we do like is called PF, “prato feito” or “ready made dish”. PF can be anything that you order, but the real PF is a combo of rice, beans, meat and chips. It is a very inexpensive dish that can be found at every food joint, so it’s usually associated with blue-collar jobs – but rest assured everyone loves it.
I always come to your blog because of your sincere and detailed reviews. I dislike blogs that seem to be more about advertising than the blogger’s real opinions.
Besides, I love makeup and food and travelling, so everything you write grabs my interest. I just wished I had the time to read it on a daily basis. 😉

Favourite food? Defs have to be SEAFOOD! Living in a country surrounded by the ocean, it’s a sin to not be loving seafood. Barbequed, boiled, grilled or ever RAW, seafood here just tastes fiiiiiiine.
Was first introduced to your site 2 years ago by my cousin, i love how after every blogpost you have this tiny summary! Sometimes when i’m on trams/trains on the way to someplace, i’d open up iMotiv and read your posts, and due to time constraints, sometimes i’d just scroll right down to read the summary and if it’s suitable for my wants/needs. Also love how you cover all the international brands that aren’t available in KL, *cough holy-grail-of-mascaras cough AUSTRALIS cough* therefore you indeed to cover for your northern and southern hemispheres readers 😉 what might prompt me to return? nothing. Because i don’t think i’m ever leavin’, unless a zombie apocalypse occurs, hehe 🙂
PS: wow this is one long comment.
