New! Add a Vitamin Boost to skin with Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Vitality Skincare

May 17, 2013 Paris B 34 Comments

estee lauder nutritious vita radiance skincare

If you remember, back during the MWS 6th Anniversary giveaway series, I gave away a very exclusive item that had not yet even been launched at the time. It was the Estee Lauder Nutritous Radiant Vitality Essence Oil and I’m hoping the winner is enjoying hers, because I am really enjoying mine! I’ll be telling you more about it next week.

Today I wanted to just let you know about the new additions to the Estee Lauder Nutritious skincare range and a little about what this range is about. The Nutritious skincare range in its distinctive red packaging has been on the shelves since its introduction in 2007 and its a bit surprising, but I’ve never seen it pushed very aggressively.

I remember being interested in it back then and I may have tried a little sample and I was intrigued, because red is very eye catching, but if you go to the counter, you will be introduced the hydrating range (blue) or anti-aging range (pink/purple) and rarely, and almost never, the Nutritious range. I always wonder why.

With Nutritious, Estee Lauder extracts the benefits of the pomegranate fruit in their new proprietary Pomegranate Nectar Infusion which contains anti-oxidants, skin boosting nutrients, moisture and energy. Almost like a power drink for your skin. Have you ever tried this range?

The 2013 version is a revamp, and we see the addition of the Radiance Vitality Essence Oil and the 2-Step Treatment Mask alongside the Foam Cleanser and Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion.

estee lauder nutritious energy lotion, 2 step mask

Left: Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion in Fresh Moist | Right: Radiant Vitality 2 Step Treatment Clay Mask and Gel Mask

There are 2 versions of the Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion in Fresh Moist and Intense Moist which I think is pretty self explanatory. These are the toners which help prep your skin for the skincare to follow. You can pat it on with your fingers or a cotton pad. I use a cotton pad but I do like how my skin feels after that. It is almost like as if you have applied a thin layer of moisturiser already, and my skin feels very comfortable. I can’t tell you if you should get it, because if you already use a hydrating toner, you won’t need it. I don’t know if it makes a difference to my skin but I like it 🙂

The Radiant Vitality 2 Step Treatment is a clay mask and gel mask in a yin yang design. Use the clay mask first, clean off then follow up with the gel mask. I’ll tell you about this specifically another time in-depth detail but its…. interesting 🙂

estee lauder nutritious essence oil

Finally, the Radiant Vitality Essence Oil! Now this one…. I LOVE OMGOMG! 😛

Yes, I’ll get a grip of myself, sorry. I can’t squeeze everything I want to say in a short sentence or paragraph here, so you can expect my 1000 word thesis on this very soon, and possibly next week so look out for it then. What Estee Lauder says this is is a ‘Vitamin Booster’ for your skin. The oil contains pure pomegranate extract, vitamin E, natural lipids and its very light and very lovely on skin. I use it as a layer between serum and moisturiser and I thin out my night cream with a few drops. My skin really likes it. I could tell because it improved significantly. It is almost as if it received a nice big dose of vitamins! But I’m going to stop here. More will come soon 🙂 Update: Read about my review on the Nutritious Essence Oil right here!

There we have it. The newest items on the shelf from Estee Lauder and available right now 🙂

Have you used anything from the Estee Lauder Nutritious line?

I always meant to but never got round to it. But now, 2 of them have grabbed me (I wanted to say by the balls, but it didn’t sound right 😛 ) and I don’t think I’ll be able to let them go just like that!

Waiting for your thesis on the Essence Oil! Haha! I think it’s still not launched here yet though.

I’m currently using the day and night creams from this range and I’m loving it so far!! 😀 And yes, I also wonder why wasn’t this range marketed aggressively as their say, Advanced Night Repair range or Hydrationist range cuz it’s really good! 😀

Oh dear, I was told its available in May 😛 But if not, it’ll be out soon and I’m so scared of the thesis that will be the Essence Oil review LOL! 😀 Ooh so you have tried the products from this range and I’m glad it works for you! I honestly don’t know why no one pushes it to me. I tried asking last time, and they just give me vague answers before telling me to go for their more popular ranges.

Just back from the counter… apparently the stocks just arrived this week – they don’t even have the tester opened and on display yet! 😀 The nice SA opened a brand new tester and let my friend and I test it out… feels really silky on the skin without being oily! I have a feeling that i’ll bring back a bottle before the weekend is over, and you, my dear, are to blame for making my wallet weep! 😛 😛

I’ve seen this range at the counter many times but the BA kept telling me that I don’t need it. In the end, I never got to feel the texture, let alone the product itself. I am itching to make a trip to their counter soon.

Wow, the way you rave about it, the oil must be really good. I am also interested to hear your view on the mask as it looks different from the usual masks that is in the market. I am currently using the Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Line/Wrinkle Hydrating Gel Oil-Free for day and a sample of the Advanced Time Zone Night
Age Reversing Line/Wrinkle Creme and I have to say I love them both. Will check out this range the next time I go to the Estee Lauder counter 🙂

Haha yes, incoherent raving 😛 The mask is certainly different but I can’t say I’m in love with it. For me, a mask is a mask heh. I’m much more impressed in the lotion (surprisingly) and the oil. I haven’t yet used the Time Zone range but I’m told its pretty amazing stuff too! That said, I’m quite happy with my anti aging night cream for now so I may not be persuaded to switch just yet 😉

I love both the oil and the mask. The cleanser is not bad either. Love the scent too! I have a huge zit on my nose (AGAIN!) and after applying the mask, I find that I wake up with a calmed down face and the zit has shrunk. I’ve tested this a few times (breakouts after travels) and it worked every time! Love what the oil does to my skin too. I have a feeling I will repurchase this!

Yay for the oil. I can definitely see myself repurchasing but the only thing holding me back is the packaging so we’ll see coz it will last a long long time anyway 🙂 I’m not so crazy about the mask, maybe because I didn’t see any wonderful results from it so it was just so-so for me 🙂

hello Lily, between this mask and Dior detox mask, which one is better at ‘killing’ the zits ? I’ve tried few clay masks that claim to clear pimples but so far no luck, didn’t see any clear improvement.

Hi Bugs, I use both to counter it. I’d use Dior tonight and this EL one tomorrow night. I find they work so much better paired together, but if I were to choose, from my recent experience, EL is good enough 🙂 That said, Dior One Essential is one of my HG masks (going to use up my second tub) so, sorry to bust it, but you really gotta try it for yourself. You know, different skin types and hormones and stuff. LOL!

oh thanks. I think I will try your method and see how it goes for me. I have never thought of using clay mask on zits 2 nights in a row. I’m using clay mask twice a week, with 3~4 days apart and dab a thicker layer on the zits.

Butting in 😉 If you want to bust zits, definitely use a clay mask on the zit daily. It’ll draw out the impurities and clear it more quickly 😉 you don’t have to use it all over except for maintenance weekly or twice weekly

Oops! Sorry Tuti! LOL! I’ll have the review up next week, wait up for it! As for your question, I put rosehip oil in a separate category. I can’t use pure rosehip as it clogs my pores but if you can then maybe its good. As for Kiehl’s or this EL one, its a hard choice to make. I find that the EL one seems a bit more effective in delivering results to my skin (e.g. brighter, smoother, more supple skin) as opposed to the Kiehl’s which seems to boost the efficacy of the serum or moisturiser I’m using at the time. Both are good for me so I can’t choose! >.<

Oh I squealed with delight as I deliciously savour this post – eye catching red, pomegranate fruit and ying and yang Radiant Vitality 2 Step Treatment Clay Mask and Gel Mask! So awesome. Red is definitely eye catching and I agree with you that this range was seldom recommended or mentioned at all to me during my numerous visits to the EL counters. I wonder why too…Nutritious range sounds quite intriguing too. Ahh pomegranate fruit and red color seem to come hand in hand as the fruit is like little red rubies. My mum absolutely loves the fruit. The dual mask is such an ingenious idea I felt.

And I was happy to see your post burst with the familiar Parisian chic effect when it comes to Radiant Vitality Essence Oil! Lol 🙂

I’m so definitely getting this oil. By far, Estee Lauder’s products have worked well on me and I love oil so much. The mask looks so like the Watson’s Herborist’s Tai Chi mask. Yes, no?

Not familiar with the Watsons mask but what a cute name! Lol I thought it very similar to the Body Butter Duo from Body Shop. I don’t know if they give out samples of the oil but if you do try it, would love to know what you think.

LOL go ahead and say by the balls, I think it’s appropriate in this instance! I don’t know why, but I am such a sucker for those swirly 2 compartment tubs. hahaha makes me want to buy the product every time regardless of what it is.

Oh, and you know how much I love face oils, so I can’t wait to read your review of that one!

Haha I thought the balls reference was quite apt too 😉 I really like the oil and it’ll last for such a long time, so the price isn’t that off putting. The packaging is a bit of a damper though, but I’ll talk about that when I come to the review 😉

My friend mentioned about this new launch and two step mask treatment which makes me interested in this range. Then I found out they have a face oil in this category after reading this post and the BA gave me a small sample to try it. The scent of the oil is very light and fresh, comparing to strong and relax scent of kiehl’s. I found that I had to use 3 drops of the EL oil instead of usual 2 drops for kiehl’s because it gets absorbed really fast.

Erm. Overall, I like the texture of this, and would probably use it in the day. And still will continue using the kiehl’s concentrate because of the heavenly scent. Without you mentioning the oil, I wouldn’t have known about it. Will finish the sample before deciding if I want to get this. The BA mention that this is more for radiance and boosting skin’s natural glow, not for anti ageing.

Hi Kay, you’re right about the oil and the texture. I found the oil wasn’t as “oily” as Kiehl’s too but I prefer a slightly more oily texture for my skin. I don’t know if you have seen it, but I’ve got a review up on the oil right here 🙂

Based on my understanding you use Step 1 first which is the clay mask, leave on for about 15 minutes, clean off then follow up with the Step 2 gel mask and again leave on for 15 minutes and clean off.

I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskinca I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskincare Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It blew my mind away! Soothes skin. Boosts hydration and just makes you feel like you have the best skin ever! Not kidding. If you have a spot or irritated skin, it calms it down and helps get rid of your spots too. Honey is anti bacterial after all, so it’s a great multitasker.
