Let’s have a Spring Garden Party – A Dior Milly Garden Party!

December 16, 2011 Paris B 33 Comments

Ladies! Lookee what we have here!

This is one of those items for Spring 2012 that is making all the hearts go a-flutter. We all know that every brand… and I mean every single brand out there that matters, is taking a floral theme for their Spring 2012 colour collections.

Dior Milly Garden Clutch
  • Save

Dior is no exception. Their star product for the Spring 2012 is the Garden Clutch – similar to that of the Minaudiere of last year. This time its a pristine white and silver with carved roses for the clasp.

Beautiful, delicate details, as can be expected of the brand 🙂

There are 2 colours available – Milly Garden #001 and Granville Garden #002. This is a picture of the Milly Garden Clutch – a cool toned blue, blue-grey and pink eyeshadow with complementing pink lipstick/gloss. My sort of colours! 😀

I leave you with this photo of the Milly Garden clutch. It looks almost too pretty to touch, and definitely too pretty to defile just yet so I’m sorry, but you’re going to have to wait 😛

To be perfectly honest with you, I am not expecting anything too dramatic from these. They look light and pastel and sheer and really, with that gorgeous embossing of roses on it, it will break the heart of anyone attempting to use it.

But we shall!

In time, complete with more photos 🙂

Pretty palette yes? 🙂 I would suggest you place your reservations if you’d like to pick this up because I forsee it flying off the shelves quite quickly 🙂

Enjoy the weekend, peeps!

Definite eye candy! When I grow up, I want pastels and baby colors to look good on me. 😛

Haha I know what you mean. I don’t think pastels suit everyone so they should stop foisting these colours on us 😛 which also explains why I prefer Fall and Winter collections for their deep shades 😀

Same! But I somehow feel less attached to this than to the quint which I foresee to be more wearable. Did you get the blue or green clutch? 🙂

The same clutch as yours. The blue leans grey so it’s not too bad. I also love the 5coleurs eyeshadows. Got the green one. So beautiful!

Ahh was hoping you had the green clutch so can take a look & compare notes hehe but I do think the blue more wearable 🙂

It’s so beautiful, but I know I would never use it! The colors seem too sheer and I hate lip glosses in palettes. It’s lovely to look at, though!

I hate it when palettes have powder and cream and I dislike palette lip products too I never seem to use them, preferring normal lipsticks 🙂 I do like how Dior has the cover though. I think it clever although I may have preferred more pigmented colours.

Not almost, definitely too beautiful to use! 🙂 I’m hoping it’s wearable at least. Would be a pity to just buy makeup just to look at it 😛

Hmm reading is a very personal thing. I have hits and misses too but I’ve worked out the genres I like so I don’t read chick lit because they bore me and I enjoy crime and fantasy. If you aren’t sure of the genre you’d like the only way is to feel around or try a couple of best sellers before you work it out. I hear that Book Acess, I think that’s it’s name, in Amcorp Mall has a good selection of recent titles and previous ones, at low prices so you can pick up some to try without breaking the bank. I haven’t been there so I can’t say how they are.

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
