What’s your nail of the day? Mine is a Gorgeous Red

February 5, 2010 Paris B 30 Comments

Let’s have a little sharing session.

What’s your nail colour of the day?

Mine is a bright bright red called Gorgeous, by Stage Cosmetics.

Stage Nail Color Gorgeous

Yesterday was the first official day of Spring according to the Chinese lunar calendar and we were encouraged to wear red – so I did. A bright red dress 😀 And to get into the spirit of things, I painted my nails red too – Stage Gorgeous Nail Color was the shade of the day.

I purchased this for RM10 during the warehouse sale a couple of months ago. I believe it retails for RM35 a bottle in store so I got a great deal yes? 🙂

I love the colour. Its a bright bright scarlet with shimmer that is truly amazing when it catches the light. Personally, I find that when wearing red nails or strong coloured nail polish, it looks better on short nails. Red polish on long nails look like bloody talons *shudder*

I liked how Gorgeous went on smoothly and was easy to apply. The brush does not splay everywhere so I did not go too much out of line although I’m a klutz at applying nail polish. Looks just as great on the fingers as it does on the toes 😀

If this auspicious looking red polish doesn’t bring me luck for the rest of the year, I don’t know what will! 😀

So over to you – What is your nail colour of the day? Red for CNY? Pink for Valentine’s Day? Blue? Green? Nude? None? 😀

Haha there’s a reason I don’t wear nail polish on my fingernails too – chips! So I wear them when I feel like it and take them off in 2-3 days. Using a topcoat helps tons for the colour to stay on.

Nude pinks! Haha, my friends said it’s pointless coz they can hardly see unless my nails are right in front of them :P. The ones from Kate and Etude House are my faves.

OT, but anyone knows where to get Essie in M’sia?

Not being a nail afficionado I can’t help but maybe someone reading this can 🙂 As for nude shades – sometimes they help you look more polished overall. Nail colours aren’t always about making a statement 😉

I’m wearing Revlon’s Blushed on my toes and nails. At the tip of my nails I put on Anna Sui’s silver glitters.

I just made an order of OPI’s Parlez-vous OPI ? and Done out in Deco and Essie’s Chinchilly. OPI is RM30 each and Essie RM26.50. It’s my first time ordering from this website, so can’t vouch on its reliability. Am still thinking of the OPI’s mini Alice in Wonderland set.

The only way to know about sales is to keep your ear on the ground – information is also available in newspapers and online 🙂 I always share news on sales on my Facebook page when I hear of them. Hope that helps

Yea, i kinda agree long nails does not fit red colour, so it seems scary to paint my finger nails red! But I love it on my toe..I m so in love my Elianto Indian Red colour, super sexy on your toes and it match all my shoes..specially black and yellow (I had one lol). I seldom pain my finger nails too but I did for this CNY deliberately..Pink 129 Testimo, pink colour w a hint of glitters..

Happy Chinese New Year to PB and all Chinese readers!
