Lancome Christmas 2009 Collection – La Nuit L’Absolu Rouge

October 23, 2009 Paris B 8 Comments

Its about time for the Christmas collections to start making their appearance. Lancome’s this year has a cute compact powder that I’m sure will sell like hot cakes especially for collectors.

lancome-xmas

The Lancome Christmas or Holiday collection to be PC seems a strange warm mix of plum and bronze shades. In my limited experience with Lancome products, that Ombre Absolu eyeshadow palette stands out because for once its not the Color Focus Palettes (round pans) but Ombre Absolu (square pans). The Ombre Absolu eyeshadows are far superior in texture in my view.

The star product of course is that Sparkling Cherub Illuminating Powder – c’est adorable no?

So here’s what to expect from the Lancome La Nuit L’Absolu Rouge Christmas 2009 collection.

We’re looking at availability in Malaysia some time in November 2009:-

Sparkling Cherub Illuminating Powder – RM150
L’Absolu Rouge lipstick 372 (Feline) and 256 (Nocturne) – RM75
Ombre Absolu Quad 203 (Feline Plum) – RM140
Color Fever Gloss 268 (Glossy Plum) – RM75
Ink Artliner Gel Liner Intense Brown and Sparkling Black – RM120

Strangely I’m not quite drawn to any item except maybe the L’Absolu Rouge lipstick in Feline. Everything else looks a tad too brown or bronze or plum for my liking. The eyeshadow quad in particular just isn’t me.

Did anything catch your eye?

Stay beautiful,

Paris B

Hi Paris, this collection is pretty different from what I saw on Lancome US, in what the eye shadow palette is concerned, here there will be 3 palettes with eye shadows and blush.
The ombre absolue replaces the color focus, this latter apparently is in the sales bin in Europe (Belgium- a blogger was mentioning this).
I was recently in Nordstrom and they did not get the Holiday collection yet.
    Have a nice weekend! 🙂
