Sunsilk Leave in Conditioner smooths the hairy beast

August 19, 2009 Paris B 14 Comments

This morning, I woke up feeling and looking like this character below:-

paperbag

My hair was not a pretty sight I can assure you. I scared even myself 😛 I don’t know what happened to my hair in the middle of the night but I vaguely remember having some vivid dreams and waking up in the middle of the night with my hair all over my face.

Here’s something that has helped me recently – the Sunsilk Smooth and Manageable Leave in Conditioner treatment.

Sunsilk leave in conditioner

The ad on tv promises you that in 1 minute you’ll have long smooth hair to tempt any male at the lifts into either helping you carry something big and bulky or into forgetting his own head. So of course I had to try – never mind that I have short hair 😛

Unfortunately for me, the drive to work was uneventful and there was no one at the office lifts when I got there so bleh… to enticing males into doing your bidding 😛 Truth is, it takes less than a minute to smoothen the leave in conditioner through your hair. It does make the hair more manageable and less flyaway and messy and does not weigh it down.

One of the drawbacks for me, is the smell. The floral fragrance is rather strong – good if your hair is going to be covered up the whole day in a hijab or tudung but not so good if it isn’t because it can mess with your perfume. It will dissipate over the day but will never go away entirely.

Fragrance aside, it works to tame my crazy hair days so I’m sticking to using this for emergencies or crazy mornings when I know I don’t have time to wash and blow dry my hair back into a semblance of order.

Tip: After applying a leave in conditioner, always wash your hands. You do not want the silicones coming into contact with your face especially if you have sensitive skin as you might encounter breakouts.

I can’t remember how much this little bottle cost but I think its below RM10. A 50ml bottle retails for RM3.20! Not too pricey for something that works to help make you look just that bit more presentable in the morning.

Spend Christmas in Paris?

The terms for joining are on the site so go over and check it out.

Christmas in Paris – I want to join too! Perhaps I’ll sign up for a short course at a uni hehe… anyone want to join me? 😛

Ugh i wake up feeling like that sometimes too! My hair has been breaking off alot lately, so those annoying short strands stick straight up from my scalp… so ugly! >.<

      Hey Jenn

I’m glad you’ve picked up my style 😉 Ooh I know what you mean about your hair breaking off. I hate it too and that usually means its time for a trim for me

Actually i agree with you that the smell is too strong. I wear tudung but even through it can smell. Plus it might stick on the tudung and then it will smell and then need to wash. Maybe if they make it less flora-ly then it would have been worth it.

      Hey ogre_rina

Ya I think the idea is maybe if there’s a scent through the tudung then it can mask musky smells after a whole day? *shrugs* A lighter scent would be nice 🙂

To tell the truth why is it that almost all hair products smell too strong anyway? But i like my yves rocher phytum actif shampoo because it smell like vegetables a bit. hehe

my sis has been a sunsilk’s die hard fan for years and it really does magic on her hair…she is so religious that she uses this type of conditioner every 3 hour or so! more frequently than me using lotion. LOL. however, sunsilk is just not my thing 🙁

I’ve been a big fan of Sunsilk ever since I curi guna Bea’s shampoo when we were holiday-ing at Bangkok 😛 I’ve tried this leave-in conditioner, and I loved it. And so cheap too!

HAHAH oh this made me laugh so hard. Brilliant, brilliant post Paris. Thing is much as I love this I’ve strayed because it needs to be used on wet hair and I don’t always find it convenient! Will be reviewing my alternative 😉

I highly recommend the Meso Mask as well for a rejuvenating, hydrating and smoothing boost to the skin. Its a good brand, that I’ve tried in the past and I’m glad we now have it here! 😊

Popped out of my hermitage to visit the amazing Jo Popped out of my hermitage to visit the amazing Jo Malone installation at Mid Valley Megamall 😍 Jo Malone has always made gifting an experience, both for giver and receiver, and this is what their Jobots are here for - to help you find that perfect gift whether for a friend, family, or for yourself each time you manage to dodge the C-bullet 😆
Go check out the Jobots at Mid Valley Megamall Centre Court & experience their signature hand and arm massages, gift boxing, personalised engraving of your perfume bottles & candle jars & play with the vending machine. You could get lucky!
No prizes for guessing which Jobot installation was my favourite! The one with the dog of course! They also had a key chain with a dog. So. Bloody. Cute!!
And after so many years finally got a photo with event organizer extraordinaire @cyrus.chin because we didn’t get the white & beige memo and came instead in (unplanned) matching sunny coral instead 😂
It felt good to have makeup on, dress up and go out for a tiny little bit, and meet people I haven’t seen in literally years! Also to enjoy the scents (hard to smell with a mask on though) and the visual delights. Go check it out. They’re there at the Centre Court until Sunday 3 July.

Not everyday I wear something decent (I still live in crummy t-shirt, shorts & sweaty athleisure most days) so it merited a photo! 😆
I put on a full face of makeup today and when it came to my eyeshadow, I had a brain fart moment and forgot where they were! 😂 Looked through 3 drawers before I saw them and even then I thought “Did I ever have THIS MANY?!” I guess I do. And before you ask, yes they’re all expired 🫢
