Upcoming: Lancome Oscillation Powerbooster Mascara Primer

June 17, 2009 Paris B 10 Comments

Lancome powerbooster vibrating primer

The new Lancome Oscillation Powerbooster Mascara Primer looks just like the Oscillation Mascara except that the case is white. It operates the same way too – depress the button and apply the primer on your lashes then follow up with Oscillation Mascara or your mascara of choice and marvel at your super long lashes.

At least that’s the promise 🙂

What makes the Lancome Oscillation Powerbooster mascara primer different from other mascara primers is that it “enhances lash thickness, density and appearance of length so that naturally occurring lash growth is more visible/noticeable.” (see Nordstrom)

Fascinated yet? 🙂

I didn’t try this – just messed with the tester. It’ll be something interesting in the market anyway. No idea of its cost too but will update when I do.

Do you use a mascara primer? Does it help your lashes look longer and thicker? I don’t so its interesting to find out if I should be adding it to my arsenal hehe…

Stay beautiful,

Paris B

I’m currently using Majolica Majorca’s Lash Bone as a base and it works fine for me. It helps make my lashes thicker and longer as well as keep its curl better.

The downside of mascara primers for me is that the lashes may become clumpy if you don’t comb it out properly. Also, I find it a chore to have to carefully coat mascara primers with mascara so that none of the ‘white’ bits show. Some claim to ‘dry transparently’ but somehow they never appear that way to me.

      Hiya Hasegawa

I’ve never used a primer but it just felt like an extra step I could do without. Perhaps I can 😉

Definitely isn’t a very ‘necessary’ step 😀 I only bother with mascara primer if I have the extra time or if I am to attend a night event. Otherwise, I just stick with mascara and a heated lash curler 😀

I am using Elizabeth Arden’s lash optimizer, but not consistently, I can’t say it makes a HUGE difference but there’s an added volume in there.

Hmm…that looks like a cool product!!! I haven’t use up my Mascara yet and there comes the primer! 😀

      Hey Nikki

Perhaps I should give a primer a try just to see how much a difference it makes to my puny lashes 😉

Yes, I use a mascara primer because my lashes refuse to curl without primer. Kate and Fasio are good ones to recommend. I am not fascinated by this Lancome though 😛

      Hi Cyndi

Kate and Fasio sound affordable! Yay! I don’t have problem with curling my lashes and so far most mascara hold a curl unless the formula is too heavy

    Interesting!

I use Majolica Majorca’s lash bone. Helps my lash stay curl >10 hrs. It helps a lot when I use it with a lousy mascara that dries slow and tend to smudge. I think the mascara dries slow, so when I blink, I got lash marks on my lower eye area. The lash bone helps to hold the lash and then I got no lash marks. hehe…so I think the lash bone is a wonderful thing!

      Hi Shay

Thanks for the info. I’ll take a look at Lash Bone if I decide to try a mascara primer.

I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskinca I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskincare Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It blew my mind away! Soothes skin. Boosts hydration and just makes you feel like you have the best skin ever! Not kidding. If you have a spot or irritated skin, it calms it down and helps get rid of your spots too. Honey is anti bacterial after all, so it’s a great multitasker.
I also love the Manuka Honey Skin brightening Day Cream. It’s light but creamy and sinks into the skin. I’ve reviewed them both on the blog in the past. If you run a search for Antipodes, you’d also notice how much I love the brand! 😁
I’m super late with this but if you’re planning to purchase any of these 3 Manuka honey items from TNS Skinlab, the code MYWSTUFF10 will give you an extra 10% off (until tomorrow 31 Dec) I highly recommend grabbing the Aura mask. You’ll never want to be without (I always have a backup!)
Thanks for the gift @tnsskinlab and I must apologise for my tardiness 😩 I’ll learn to cope better from next week!
Now I have to scuttle and write my year end musings. Some traditions must be kept! 😜

It’s my first year doing retail and honestly, I’d never been so busy! The year-end rush is unreal! But busy is good, right? At least that’s what I tell myself 😂

Place your order, and pick up in store or have it delivered.
Had a bit of breather today and put together a little video. Blink and miss my little monster 🐶 helping me shop! Not sponsored but I did receive a gift from L’Occitane, for which my sun-exposed, dry dog-walking skin thanks you!
Haven’t done any Christmas shopping this year. It has only just struck me that it’s but mere days away! 😨 Have you done yours?
