L’oreal Color of Hope for Cancer Awareness

October 1, 2008 Paris B 8 Comments

Its October 1 2008 and when October comes around, it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Some websites go Pink for October in support of this movement. I tried that on my last theme and I realised pink is not my colour. That is not to say I don’t support the movement wholeheartedly! You can see my pink support on the top of my sidebar 🙂

L’oreal, as they do every year, has come up with a Color of Hope collection which is limited edition and this year 20% of the price goes towards the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. We don’t get this collection here in Malaysia unfortunately. The collection will have 2 eyeshadow quads in Joyous Spirit and Peaceful Spirit, Color Riche lipcolor in Color of Hope, Color Riche lip gloss in Color of Hope and Infallible Never Fail lip color in Color of Hope. The whole set comes in a pouch and is available for US$25.

I gave towards this cause a few years ago when I got someone to help me purchase a Color of Hope blush delice.

L'oreal Color of Hope blush

Like all L’oreal Blush Delice, the texture is lovely and smooth with slight shimmer. The size is bigger than that of the Blush Delice we get here at the counter though. I’m not sure if its just the usual size in the USA or because its a special item. The colour is a dead ringer for Nars Sin blush and since I fell out of love with Nars blushes, this has been a good if not better substitute for the Nars Sin blush for me! 🙂

Estee Lauder is another brand that is a strong supporter of the Pink Ribbon campaign so they usually have some special deals or items with a portion of sales going towards cancer research.

If I see anymore Pink Ribbon special sets and deals from other brands, I’ll be sure to post about it.

Hi PB, I notice your Pink support! I’m glad your site highlights this move. 🙂
Many are not aware about breast cancer, which is sad. Hope Colour of Hope is available here..
