Bobbi Brown Pink Satin Collection – Limited Edition

March 16, 2008 Paris B 3 Comments

I just got wind of the new Limited Edition Bobbi Brown Pink Satin collection. This is coming hot on the heels of the Nude eye and lip palette and is, in my view, a lot more interesting!

BB pink satin

The Pink Satin collection consists of an eyeshadow palette, lipgloss palette and a mini brush set. I haven’t thought much about Bobbi Brown’s eye collections so far, but this eye palette seems to catch my fancy. Maybe its the shimmer – I like shadows with shimmer or maybe its the complementing tones or maybe its that lovely looking grey colour. It looks a little like the Metallics trio that was launched some time last year. This however, looks light where the metallics was darker. The trio retailed for RM150 so I’d expect the same for the Pink Satin. These 3 shimmery colours – Navajo metallic, Hot Stone Metallic and Pink Ice Metallic – are limited edition and only found in this set for now.

The lipgloss trio is a trio of pink glosses. I’m not a fan of lip product in palettes so I’d probably not be tempted by this one. There doesn’t seem to be a brush included which is surprising for a lip palette.

The final item in the set is the brushes – blush, eyeshadow and lip brushes in a case. The case holds the eyeshadow and lip trio too.

I’m not sure how they are selling this Pink Satin set. In the USA, I’m given to understand that it is sold as a whole set for US$140 (RM448). However, they might sell them separately here due to the high price tag. We’ll have to see.

Stay beautiful,

The lip palette looks really pretty, as does the metallic eyeshadow palette, but I think the shadows are too cool in shade to look great on me. I might have to go to the counter to give ’em a look.
