Shu Uemura Spring 2008 – Rebirth collection

January 15, 2008 Paris B 2 Comments

shu rebirth

I think it ironic that the Shu Uemura Spring 2008 collection be named Rebirth. This comes on the heels of the news of Mr. Uemura’s untimely passing.

This collection presents:

  • A limited edition tri-color pencil – I think its like an eye crayon
  • Spring Pressed eyeshadow – Spring Breeze (lilac), Earth Brown (brown), Pristine Green (lime green), Sun Stream (peach/orange), Yellow Elation (yellow)
  • Glow On Blush – Tranquil Pink and Harmonius Orange
  • Rouge Unlimited lipstick – Pink Bloom, Dewy Beige, Serene Pink
  • Nail Enamel nail polish

I like the design printed on the eyeshadows and blush. This seems to be a new recurring theme in Shu Uemura’s limited edition packaging. If they are anything like previous collections, expect the pattern to disappear after a few uses. I still like Shu Uemura blushes but am allergic to the eyeshadows. And I just realised I haven’t reviewed them!

I went to sharpen my brow pencil with Uemura the other day. Came back..touch abit…*prop* patah. Sheesh. In the end have to sharpen ownself.

Btw, I need to compliment Bobbi Brown gel liner. I just started work and OMG it so lasted the whole day despite oily lids. Hahahahha

I feel the colors are really refreshing and alive.
I would personally love to try the eyeshadows.
