How to look good even when you had a bad night?
So you had a bad night. You wake up in the morning and see dark rings under your bleary eyes, and blotchy skin. What do you do?
Well, here’s where makeup can help you.
The key here is to keep things natural. From personal experience, I’ve found that on days when I wake up looking and feeling terrible, light natural makeup is best.
The key items you’ll need are:-

- Concealer
- Foundation
- Highlighter
- A light or nude colored eyeshadow
- Eyeliner
- Mascara
- Light peach or pink blush
And here’s how I put it all together.

Review: Makeup: Anna Sui Powder Eyeshadow
I used to walk past the Anna Sui makeup counter without stopping to check their products out. I’m not saying that its badly laid out, in fact, Anna Sui counters have to be one of the prettiest counters around with the signature Anna Sui delicate vanity table look to them in signature Anna Sui black and purple.
However, one day I stopped to check out Anna Sui eyeshadow singles.

Mine come in the old packaging which was a screw top container. It was quite a hassle so they have since changed the packaging to that of a flip top container. However the rose pattern and the signature Anna Sui rose fragrance still permeates. There’s More! Continue reading →
Anna Sui Brush Stand with Brushes set - Great Value
A reader emailed me to ask about which brand to go to to look for makeup brushes. I pointed her in the direction of MAC, Shu Uemura and Bobbi Brown to name a few brands I have tried. But I also pointed her in the direction of Anna Sui.
I don’t normally go to the Anna Sui counter because the products don’t all appeal to me. However, having and liking the Flat Top Blush Brush (Cheek Brush 2), I decided to check out the other brushes Anna Sui had to offer.
A very good value brush set I found was this brush set that comes in the signature Anna Sui rose design brush stand. This whole set is only RM210 and you get the following:-

- Cheek Brush #1 (Blush Brush)
- Eye shadow brush
- Lip brush
- Eyelash Curler
- Brush Stand
I think it makes for a great starter brush set or for a nice little gift for someone. I only own one Anna Sui brush which I like. The bristles are soft and it works very well for me. You can read my review on the Flat Top Blush Brush.
I asked the sales assistant what the brushes were made of, but she did not know. From feel however, I’d say that the eye and cheek brushes are made of natural hair (pony or goat) and the lip brush is synthetic. The brush stand is cute and sturdy plastic with the embossed signature rose design of Anna Sui. It can hold quite a lot of brushes so you can continue to grow your collection. I’d get this set if I did not already have a ton of other brushes! I think I’ll write about my brushes soon.
Stay beautiful,
Review: Anna Sui Flat Top Blush Brush - Cheek Brush #2
For all my love of blushes, I think it would surprise many to know that I don’t own as many blush brushes as I do blushes. In fact, I used to own only 2 - MAC 129 from a travel set and The Body Shop blush brush. I’ll review them separately in due course.
However, I recently got my hands on the Anna Sui Cheek Brush #2. This is a round blush brush with a flat top. I was quite puzzled as to how to use it when I first got it but now that I’ve gotten the hang of it, I love it!

The Anna Sui flat top blush brush has rather short but dense bristles. There’s More! Continue reading →
