New and Improved from Anna Sui : Lip Gloss C (Clear) and Lip Gloss R (Rich)

Ever come across a product you could love in every way but one? I just came across it.

I love the Anna Sui Lip Gloss in both C (Clear) and R (Rich). I love how shiny they look on the lips. I love how the colour surprises me at every turn. I love how they apply and I love the packaging.

However, I do not love the scent.

Sigh…

Anna Sui products have her signature rose scent in everything. I have found products in the line to love but I would love them so much better if they did not have that powdery scent. But then there are people who love the scent so its pretty much individualistic. The saving grace is that the scent isn’t terribly strong in this new range of lipglosses, and they dissipate.

Anna Sui has revamped the lipgloss collection in their Spring 2011 release, with the introduction of new textures, colour and packaging. You really can’t beat Anna Sui for their packaging. Every little detail has been thought of, including how the cap forms the shape of a heart when viewed from above – see above 😉

There are 2 new textures – Anna Sui Lip Gloss C (Clear) for a clear highly reflective gloss and Lip Gloss R (Rich) for rich pigment with high shine. The swatches above give you an idea of just how clear and rich the colours are when applied. Let’s take a look at 2 colours I was sent – Lip Gloss C #300 Pink Diamond and Lip Gloss R #550 Spicy Brown.

The Anna Sui Blush Duo in Pinkish Yellow Is Challenging But Pretty If You Get It Right

Last week, I showed you this bright yellow and pink blush and had you suggest ways to use it. Isn’t it such an unusual colour for a blush? I mean yellow. Really.

You do know that that pretty white intricate lace overlay is just spray on? It brushes off with use and really serves no purpose at all. You can see a smudge also where my finger got onto it the day I got it. Made it easier to defile this one 😛

In the meantime, I also got in touch with an Anna Sui makeup artist to find out just how one could use this very interestingly coloured blush. I was told there were a couple of ways you could use it all of which involved mixing the colours.

Yes dears. We do not walk around with splotches of yellow on our cheeks… unless we have contracted malaria 😛

Lookee! A yellow and pink blush!

A yellow and pink blush??

Now who’d ever have thought of that?

Anna Sui of course 🙂 This yellow and pink blush is part of a trio of 3 limited edition blush duos released with the Spring 2011 collection.

I received this last week and I’ve been looking at it from all angles since, wondering how would be the best way to use it. Should I use the pink for colour and yellow as a highlight?

All Aboard!

If we could even take off on this Flight of Fancy, that is.

I love the look of the stopper of the Anna Sui Flight of Fancy perfume bottle. It would be better of as glass of course. Plastic doesn’t cut it, sorry! But the fanciful stopper looks a little odd against the square block of glass that forms the bottle. Perhaps they were trying to anchor the fancy stopper with the heavy base. Who knows eh? One doesn’t anchor a flight of fancy – one lets go and flies!

So with a name like Flight of Fancy, when I unstoppered the bottle and spritzed on the fragrance by Anna Sui, I expected to be transported into a fanciful world. What I was transported to was a mango orchard.
