New from Silkygirl : Liquid Foundation, Shimmer Blush and Stick Concealer
I was out trawling the malls over the weekend which is something I haven’t had the time to do for a long while. I also wanted to check out something from the pharmacies when my eye was caught by some new stuff at the Silkygirl counter.
Silkygirl Perfect Cover Concealer

A new creamy stick concealer from Silkygirl. The Perfect Cover concealer comes in 2 shades - Light 01 and Medium 02. I found that Light 01 was light, but a little yellow. It was very creamy though - so creamy that it felt like it was melting! It was slightly thick and I reckon it might conceal marks and discolouration better than dark eye circles. At RM14.90 I might try it one day especially since there’s a promotional price of RM12.90 now.

Sana Maiko Han Geisha inspired Makeup
I was down in Singapore over the weekend when I stumbled on the brand Sana in a Sasa store. I had read about this Japanese brand before but had never seen it in person so I was quite taken in by the pretty cherry blossom packaging.

Out of curiousity, I picked up 3 items. 2 of them, a liquid foundation and a foundation brush and mixing palette set was from the Sana Maiko-Han series. There’s More! Continue reading →
How to look good even when you had a bad night?
So you had a bad night. You wake up in the morning and see dark rings under your bleary eyes, and blotchy skin. What do you do?
Well, here’s where makeup can help you.
The key here is to keep things natural. From personal experience, I’ve found that on days when I wake up looking and feeling terrible, light natural makeup is best.
The key items you’ll need are:-

- Concealer
- Foundation
- Highlighter
- A light or nude colored eyeshadow
- Eyeliner
- Mascara
- Light peach or pink blush
And here’s how I put it all together.

Review & Giveaway! Revlon Age-Defying 2-way foundation with Botafirm
The folks over at Revlon contacted me recently to test-drive their new Revlon Age-Defying 2-way Foundation with Botafirm in 05 Sand Beige. Whew! What a mouthful! What it essentially is, of course, is a 2-way powder foundation. 2-way because it can be used both wet and dry. Wet for more coverage and dry for less. I only ever use my powder foundations dry so my review will be based on that. There is a giveaway too at the bottom, so please read on!

First of all, the packaging. I love it! The powder foundation comes in a slim red case which is similar to the rest of the Revlon Age-Defying line. But what I really like is the slimness and the sleekness of the design. It actually looks and feels more expensive than it really is. There’s More! Continue reading →
