You will be quite happy to use the Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C Serum every day if budget permits

June 10, 2019 Paris B 6 Comments

It’s no secret by now that I’m a huge huge fan of using Vitamin C serums. While I struggle with other active ingredients, Vitamin C has delivered quick and visible results that have impressed me.

Naturally therefore, any new Vitamin C serum in the market grabs my interest, and the Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum is no exception!

I was very fortunate to be introduced the new Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum at a media launch, and thereafter, to spend some time using it, before I could form an opinion.

It’s been almost 2 months that I’ve been using this Vitamin C serum exclusively (I never use Vitamin C serums alongside each other – only after I finish the previous one) so I think I’m able to now form an opinion. But more interestingly, will it be worth the money? It is very pricey!

Beauty hors d’oeuvres: Luxury Hungarian skincare Omorovicza is now available in Malaysia

July 12, 2018 Paris B 2 Comments

Back with another beauty snack, and this time, it’s to tell you that Omorovicza skincare is now available here in Malaysia stores. Omorovicza (pronounced Omo-ro-veet-sa) is a luxury skincare brand from Budapest, Hungary, and their story lies around the use and incorporation of thermal water into their products.

Facial Mists are a staple in my skincare routine : Why, What and How do I use them?

February 23, 2018 Paris B 34 Comments

Often, when I show you my skincare routine either here on the blog or on Instagram, one item tends to catch the attention of most. The facial mist. The most common question I get is “What does it do? Is it even necessary?”

I thought it would be a good time to address this.

why use facial mist

I’ll share my thoughts about why I use facial mists or facial sprays, and how I use them, and you can tell me then if it’s something you use, or if it’s just a waste of time for you 🙂 No right or wrong rules here, people! I’ll also quickly run down the ones I have here and share some thoughts on why I like them (or don’t). I have a few others that I’ve used, but no longer have the bottles. If I can remember what they are, I’ll include them in the list 🙂 So, hang on tight, here we go!

5 Niche and Cult Skincare and Beauty Brands to consider trying at Caliata

November 22, 2017 Paris B 13 Comments

This post is written in collaboration with and kindly sponsored by Caliata.com

About a month ago, I introduced you to Caliata.com, an online beauty store based in Malaysia. What made Caliata stand out from other websites I’ve come across, was their brand selection (and the fact that their founder is very passionate about skincare and beauty herself). As I scanned the range of brands and products they carried, I found my excitement mounting. Here, finally, was a local online store that carried beauty, especially skincare, brands and products I like or have been curious about, but could only get online from overseas!

caliata featured brands

As a beauty and skincare buff, I’d tried, or am familiar with most of the brands carried by Caliata. They are primarily niche or cult brands, that aren’t necessarily easily available on mainstream websites, or stores. For some of them, if you haven’t been keeping your finger on the cult skincare pulse, you may not be familiar with the products or brands at all. So, I thought I’d share with you a sampling of 5 of these niche and cult skincare brands that stand out on Caliata. If you have tried any of them, I’d love to hear your thoughts too, because I may have sampled, but not tried them all! 🙂
