When even performance can’t save the Biotherm Life Plankton Essence thanks to its fragrance

June 18, 2015 Paris B 16 Comments

The “problem” with some skincare is in how they can deliver all sorts of lovely positive results to your skin and yet when it comes down to the crunch, you’d never repurchase or even consider repurchasing it because you just can’t stand the artificial fragrance it’s infused with.

biotherm life plankton essence

Ladies and gents, meet my love-hate-and-hate-again relationship with the very popular Biotherm Life Plankton Essence which has received a lot of raves. The thing is, I can understand the raves, because this liquid lotion does do what it promises to do – leave skin more hydrated, softer and smoother.

Biotherm says this effect can be seen in as little as 8 days. 8 days! Well, if you’ve never used a similar sort of hydrating lotion/essence then yes, you will see a marked difference. But if you are already using a similar sort of essence or lotion then no, you won’t see a thing in 8 days, but over 2-3 weeks you may notice a positive effect on your skin.

Handy hand and nail treatments with Biotherm Age Delaying Hand Treatment and Melvita Argan Oil Roll On

May 26, 2013 Paris B 25 Comments

biotherm hand cream melvita cuticle oil

Apologies if you inadvertently saw an approximation of this post in your email/reader etc. It wasn’t ready for publishing till now 🙂

I’ve run out of my favourite hand cream. It was a tragedy because I’ve been around the block and come to the conclusion that most if not all hand cream is just too greasy for me, despite every claim of being non greasy or oily. Before I ran out to buy a new one however, I remembered that I had one from Biotherm.

The Biotherm Biomains Age-Delaying Hand & Nail Treatment sounds a lot like the one from Clarins and it also came well liked by my Canadian buddy Tracy. Hey, anything that works in the harsh Canadian winters must be a winner! I was quite excited about this one 🙂

The other thing that I thought I’d tell you about is the Melvita Argan Oil Roll on Cuticle treatment. Yes, a roll on. Have you tried either one before?

New! Biotherm Skin.Ergetic Eyes and new Flagship counter layout

September 8, 2012 Paris B 25 Comments

Something new cometh from Biotherm – the Skin.Ergetic Eye cream and a brand new looking flagship counter! I’ll just tell you quickly about the eye cream and then I’ll take you on a quick tour of the counter. Sounds good? 😉

biotherm skin ergetic eye cream

The Skin.Ergetic Eyes is as the name indicates, an eye cream. It complements the rest of the Skin.Ergetic range (serum and moisturiser) and is supposed to address 5 signs of eye fatigue – dark circles, bags, fine lines, slack skin and puffy eye lids. Sounds most promising doesn’t it?

Voyager Beauty Haul : Because We’re All Voyeurs

September 7, 2011 Paris B 45 Comments

So, from this morning’s escapade through the Shanghai Museum, you’d have gathered that that was my holiday destination this past week. It was the festive holidays here, and it was a good time to get away. I didn’t shop much while in Shanghai.

Ok I lie a little. I shopped A LOT but it was all from Marks & Spencer as there was a big sale on, and the prices were so cheap (RMB49 – RM25 for a pencil skirt! OMG! ) I could not resist. So I have returned with a brand new work wardrobe and am very happy for it. I didn’t think you’d want to see a sea of black and grey, so instead this is my tiny little beauty haul.

pantene clinicare time renewal

I only ended up getting the Pantene Clinicare Time Renewal shampoo and conditioner in China – mainly because I’m a little sceptical about authenticity of goods (sad but true fact), and because I needed a shampoo and conditioner while I was there. It worked very well for my hair when I was using it, and I rather liked it, so I do hope to see it here soon.
