And just like that, September has come and gone in quite literally, a blink of an eye! While it’s felt, to me, like the past month was slowly plodding by, it’s also felt like it’s flown by. I’m not sure how that’s happened, but it has!

And we’re into a new installment of 5 Things I Love this month of September 2019. This has quickly become one of my favourite regular segments to compile, as it’s got a far more relaxed feel about it 🙂 I hope you enjoy it too! 😀

I’m not a fan of matte lipstick, and especially not of matte liquid lipstick. It is a trend that I wish would fade away, but it doesn’t seem to be. The next best thing therefore is for me to find a formula that is comfortable and flattering. For me, that formula is the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink.

I’m still thoroughly enjoying using it because it fits right in with the matte lip trend, yet feels so comfortable on. Naturally therefore when I got wind of the new Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Fusion matte liquid lip colour, my interest was piqued.

I’m generally leery about using stick type foundations. While they are convenient and portable, they do have a tendency to be drying. The Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick is anything but!

I picked this one up quite a while ago, and as you can see, it’s quite well-used. The reason is because, I like it quite a lot! 🙂

I shared earlier in a list of things I thought was worth spending money on, and I stand by it. It also reminded me that I hadn’t properly reviewed it!

It’s OK to be busy doing things, but it’s also OK to do nothing

I was browsing Instagram a few days ago, when a comment by my friend Christine (@closetplanneraddict) on one of her posts made me pause.

In a nutshell, she made a statement about how she felt the need to pad her week so she stays “busy doing stuff” instead of just not doing anything; the latter, as a form of self-care.

I thought it interesting, because in some ways, I’ve been there, done that and bought the T-shirt haha! 😀 So I do know a little about staying busy, or rather, forcing yourself to stay busy. And that isn’t the best thing for your mental state.
