Insta-Updates: A massive travel cosmetics kit!

May 18, 2012 Paris B 25 Comments

I packed this cosmetics kit last night, and it turned out massive!

I don’t normally pack full-size skin care when I travel, nor do I pack a large number of makeup items but this was a bit of an exception to the general rule. Does anything in there look familiar? 😉

I’ll break it down and explain why I’m lugging around a huge and heavy kit in the coming week 😉

In the meantime, enjoy the weekend and I hope everyone has a lovely one regardless of where you are!

I got the bag a long time ago. Redeemed from one of those bonuslink things. Didn’t realize just how handy it’d come in for when I need to carry a boatload of stuff 😉

Haha going somewhere? 🙂 it’s a cosmetic case by Pierre Cardin that I redeemed from Bonuslink I think, many years ago. I’m not sure where to ge it now but I’m sure there are similar ones out there 🙂

Well spotted! 😀 I’m in 2 minds about the Bioderma. Dont think it’s as wonderful as everyone says but it’s quite good for quick cleansing. Will review it as soon as I can (and remember 😉 )

You go, girl! I’m actually really worried I’ll have too much to take with me when I go on holiday this summer. It’ll totally break my heart to make any kind of decisions haha

Haha I know how you feel but if I were in your shoes and going to Taiwan, I’d just bring the basics and buy everything else there. You know you will anyway! 😉

Hahaha.. I always travel w full size! Both skincare and makeup! I go home almost every weekend so my friend finds it unacceptable lol.. But I can’t make myself replicate another set at home… I need to use up the current stash and I dislike changing into a different set of skincare in the weekend haha.. My housemate concluded that I am weird XD

Wow you travel every week? I’d be so exhausted! I don’t usually travel with full size stuff unless I’m going away for a long time which has basically not happened for a long time. I guess it makes sense to not change around skincare just because you’re traveling. It breaks me out sometimes too.

yeah hehe… i go home at least once a month, if not every weekend or fortnight XD
so i basically lug a whole lot of stuffs here and there.
i had a awful year full of breakouts last year…due to stress and the fact i tried too many products. so now i stick to what i am using and blind myself whenever i am tempted to try something new hahaha

I think I spotted 2 EL products – 1 in the box and another in a bottle with gold cover. Wow, your upcoming travel seems quite intensive and the bag just fits the purpose so well 🙂 I’m traveling to Singapore for work next week, short stay so will pack sample sachets. Enjoy your trip!

Eagle eyed! It was a sample of EL ANR and the full size eye serum 😀 I only packed full sizes out of necessity this time. Normal times I’d just do sachets or travel sizes 🙂 enjoy your trip to Singapore!

I went traveling last week and found out my beauty product had occupied a big chunk of space. I wondered why I had to pack so many things, but when I examined them one by one. Each of them seems to be “necessary.” 😛

So much, but they all seem necessary don’t they? It looks like a very good bag for organizing. Having been in university the past four years, I have the packing down to an art! Haha.
I see some things still in their boxes. Are they new or do you keep the boxes for somethings? I do that sometimes.

    Have fun on your trip!

For this trip, everything was necessary to make sure I looked my best at all times hehe… I don’t usually keep things in their boxes umless i have a reason to (like thwn i need to take a pictue of ingredients) so those in the boxes are new 😉

I just came back from two long holidays and I thought I’m a very excessive traveler with my full size skincare and makeup stuff. After I saw this, it makes me feel normal haha.

Your makeup bag actually gives me the idea to use my ugly-therefore-unused dlsr camera bag which looks exactly like yours for my next trip. Bye-bye carrying 3-4 ziplock bags to store my stuff 🙂 You are full of brilliant inspiration!

LOL!! Might it make you feel even better to know this was just for a weekend? 😉 I don’t normally travel this heavy though. I travel very lightly with sachets and samples, rarely with full sized anything except makeup 🙂 I didn’t think of using a DSLR bag as a makeup pouch, but it would make a lot of sense because those things are roomy and have nice partitions too! Great idea, Trah! BTW Where did you go on holidays? Make me jealous, come on 😉

I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskinca I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskincare Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It blew my mind away! Soothes skin. Boosts hydration and just makes you feel like you have the best skin ever! Not kidding. If you have a spot or irritated skin, it calms it down and helps get rid of your spots too. Honey is anti bacterial after all, so it’s a great multitasker.
I also love the Manuka Honey Skin brightening Day Cream. It’s light but creamy and sinks into the skin. I’ve reviewed them both on the blog in the past. If you run a search for Antipodes, you’d also notice how much I love the brand! 😁
I’m super late with this but if you’re planning to purchase any of these 3 Manuka honey items from TNS Skinlab, the code MYWSTUFF10 will give you an extra 10% off (until tomorrow 31 Dec) I highly recommend grabbing the Aura mask. You’ll never want to be without (I always have a backup!)
Thanks for the gift @tnsskinlab and I must apologise for my tardiness 😩 I’ll learn to cope better from next week!
Now I have to scuttle and write my year end musings. Some traditions must be kept! 😜

It’s my first year doing retail and honestly, I’d never been so busy! The year-end rush is unreal! But busy is good, right? At least that’s what I tell myself 😂

Had a bit of breather today and put together a little video. Blink and miss my little monster 🐶 helping me shop! Not sponsored but I did receive a gift from L’Occitane, for which my sun-exposed, dry dog-walking skin thanks you!
Haven’t done any Christmas shopping this year. It has only just struck me that it’s but mere days away! 😨 Have you done yours?
