We made it! Its 2012! 😀
I wish you an amazing year ahead with lots of achievements to be had and lots of laughter to be shared! 😀
I’m going to start off my year putting my best foot forward. Quite literally, by getting a foot massage 😀 This year, I’m meeting friends for our annual “everyone’s actually going to be there OMG!” gathering, and we decided to start the year at a spa, getting all relaxed and limbered up before facing our 2012 challenges.
Like last year, I thought to issue you a New Year’s challenge. Face it, how many of us manage to keep our new year’s resolutions? All those resolutions to diet and exercise fly out the window quite quickly (especially when we have the Lunar New Year coming up in about 3 weeks – more food and celebrations! 😀 )
So like last year, lets see how we do. Share one resolution this year you think you’d like to keep. At the end of the year (God willing we’d all still be around and disaster hasn’t struck as the movie 2012 would lead us to believe!) we’ll revisit your resolution and see how you did. Up for it? Let’s go – I’ll start.
My goal this 2012 is to learn to cook better.
I can cook, but I want to learn some local traditional dishes and to hone up on my Asian culinary skills.
I do quite a mean roast chicken (if I don’t say so myself 😉 ) and I know I will always have a dish to bring for any pot luck party 😛 But I’d like to pick up some local dishes simply because I enjoy eating them and I’d love to learn how to make them. So this year I plan to get stuck in, in the kitchen, and to take classes where I can find them, or look up some recipes and experiment. Diet? What’s that eh? 😉
Let us be your support group to keep to your resolution this year 🙂
Happy New Year 2012 : its going to be an excellent one!
