It was an itsy bitsy teeny weeny polka dotted Woopz Bikini!

Quite a few of you have been asking me about that bikini set I showed you before this.

Don’t you just love the bright turquoise… and the polka dots?! I love it. The polka dots and trim are a dark brown by the way.

This also happens to fit my requirements for a padded bikini top with underwire support. I’ve owned a couple of bikinis before this, but they were unpadded and I was always looking for something with a bit of oomph! if you know what I mean. This came from Woopz Bikinis – a new online store dedicated to bikinis of all shapes, sizes, colours and styles! Oh and affordably priced too. Ooh yeah… who’d ever thought 😉

Part of the reason I agreed to work with them was because I saw that they stocked padded and underwired bikinis. I’m not really into bikinis but when I find myself eyeing a style and then finding it online, it was a perfect fit.

There is no picture of me in this – I’m not a masochist – but I can tell you that when worn properly, the bikini top in this one offers a very nice line and good lift. If you are not well endowed, you will appreciate looking in the mirror and going “OMG! I have bewbies!” 😀

A few niggling notes however. This style was stated to be suitable for those with cups A or B. I will agree. However, it is pertinent to note that body circumference is also important so I think it might be helpful if Woopz Bikini could also specify the approximate measurements for under the bust, as they do for bras.

The reason I say so is because I found the tie straps a wee bit shorter than I liked. The back has this cute loop when the sides of the bikini are close together, but if you are wide (as I apparently was) then it cannot join and the tie strap feels a little insecure. Could have been a “woopz” situation right there 😛 My suggestion would be to replace the tie strap with something a little longer – it just feels more secure. The tie strap around the neck too could be a little longer. The bottom was a good fit considering wide hips and all, so no complaints there.

This comment however is strictly based on the one I have which is the one pictured above. I’m not sure how the bandeau bikinis fare, although there are some cute ones available on the site. And I just know I’m going to get me one of the bandeau ones – just for the fun of it.

Your bikinis come packed with paper, tied with yarn and delivered in a brown box by Poslaju, barring some stickers and tape, Woopz Bikini has a plastic-free policy. Payment can be made by Paypal, Maybank2U or Cash on Delivery according to their website. Prices start from RM45 to RM59 as of now, which isn’t pricey for some really cute bikinis on offer.

The Woopz Bikini website is simple and easy to navigate, and from experience, they are quick to attend to questions.

I know what some of you might be thinking – “I don’t feel confident in a bikini” or “I’m fat and I can’t wear a bikini” Well, let me tell you from personal experience, that it is always useful to have a bikini on hand, whether you wear it publicly or not. If you enjoy going to the beach or water sports or even if you plan to go to a water theme park where you just know you’re going to get wet, wearing a bikini top (if not bottom) under your T-shirt or cover up is very useful. If you get wet, its just like a swimsuit so it dries out faster, and does not feel clammy against the skin as a wet bra would. And unlike a 1 piece swimsuit, you don’t have to strip every time you go to the toilet nor do you have to sit around in a wet suit all day.

I went whitewater rafting once and was very glad for my bikini top. It was modest, yet offers decent cover up under my T-shirt, dried out quickly and was easy to change out of when I had to. That was when I learnt that wearing a bikini isn’t all about parading around, showing off your body. It can come in very useful for any number of reasons too! 😀

So there. If you didn’t have a reason to want (or need) a bikini, I just gave you one 😉 Now, excuse me. I’m off to look for a bandeau bikini before you beat me to it 😛

I have another use for the bikini too! On shockingly hot days, I wear this with the lightest summer dress to escape the heat. It helps.

so cute! it is hard to find a bikini with good support for non A or Bs, and more often than not, without underwire, it makes people look saggy rather than sexy! will keep this site in mind if i need one in future 😉

haha! “saggy rather than sexy” and I have to agree! I think a bikini with support gives a better line than one that gives a erm… “saggy” look 😛

I was waiting for your post on this! Thanks PB, I think I MAY have to order something. I’m in love with bikinis of all kinds. And have been on the lookout for padded and underwire, like you 🙂 Yay! Thanks again!

Its not easy to find an affordable underwired padded bikini is it? I looked around but those that are supported tend to be pricey. Hope you like the one you order and that it fits! 🙂

You may have just given me a reason to buy a bikini, which I have never ever ever ever worn in my life.

Just in time too, when they’re starting to roll out bikinis here 😛

Rolling out bikinis already? Isn’t it still winter there? 😛 And I usually wear mine with a cover up as per my tip anyway. Its like you get to wear it yet don’t have to expose yourself – win win!

Excellent! I’ve been looking for a good bikini (Mainly bikini top) to replace my old one- and I want one with good underwire support and padding 😀 Though my other requirement would hopefully be a clasp for the back- I don’t feel confident with ties at the back as I fear they might just undo themselves somehow. Strange I know.

Yeap, a bikini doesn’t mean that you have to parade around in it when you go swimming/doing water sports/enjoying some time by the beach or pool- I wear mine under a tank top (For more decency) when I go the waterfalls, depending on the place and situation because I do wear just my bikini top at the beach or waterpark sometimes 😛 It’s definitely more convenient than a bra in a lot of ways for all these water-related activities.

Oh definitely! Bras give that waterlogged feel that is super uncomfortable if you have to sit around for long periods of time doing nothing. Bikini tops are perfect for situations like this 😀

Ooo I have been eyeing this one: http://woopzbikinis.com/shopbycolours/classic-black-cup-bikinis-with-ribbon

Just love the ribbons! Plus, its an underwired design too. But maybe not in black. Maybe a more ‘fun’ color like red/maroon or blue? Hope they will restock with those colors! Don’t exactly have the bikini bod yet but it’ll damn well be a motivation…nyahaha!
