Smashbox Masquerade Creamy Cheek Color and Brush – Intrigue

Ahh… Ain’t you a cutie pie? 😀

The Smashbox Masquerade Fall 2010 collection is turning out to be quite an interesting one. This is the Creamy Cheek Color and Brush in Intrigue, described on the website as “Warm Pink”.

A warm pink-peach cream stick blush at one end and a dense flat top brush at the other targeted for blending purposes. Just took it out for a spin and will report on its effectiveness.

Preliminary report: Am not loving the brush but the cream cheek colour doubles up for lips and works prettily with the Illusion Softlights! 😀

Let ya know how this goes soon!

The brush looks …. painful. Kind of like a loofah or coconut husks. It doesn’t feel like that .. does it?

Oh? Available alternative to say, NARS multiple?

Alright, Paris… This is going to far. As and when I do succumb to the lemmings that you have caused, shall I charge RM 383 to your conscience?

Nah, just joking. ^.^ You know I love you!!

Hmm… I can’t quite call this a NARS Multiple alternative because it has only 1 (at max 2) uses – cheeks and lips. Multiples can be used for err… multiple uses e.g. all over the face, body, etc. Also Multiples tend to be shimmery. This one isn’t (thank goodness!). You may charge it, but I probably won’t lose any sleep over it and you’d still have to pay for it! *giggle* 😉

Aww thank you for the mention! I went to check it out but it redirects to a Page not Found? Still, thanks for the thought and yes I’m always happy with anyone who takes on red lipstick!

The brush reminded me of hays. Hmm, does not look pleasant on the skin at all.

Haha! Not that rough, but rough enough that I only use it once and never again. I’d have preferred if Smashbox had used synthetic bristles. Those tend to be firm yet soft and you can easily wash them. Ah that’s the other peeve I have with the brush 😛

Let’s also not forget it’s animal friendly too(synthetic bristles) 😀

Actually I have a Smashbox eyeshadow brush and I love it! I have another one coming for blush 😀 I gotta tell everyone about it soon 😛 I think they had a great concept going on here but didn’t get the right brush. Pity really.

The brush looks rough and scratchy.. very disappointing. But the colors sounds lovely, can’t wait to see it.

Yeah it certainly looks that way. Doesn’t feel THAT rough though but its not something I’d recommend. The colour IS lovely 😀

Wow…the brush looks horrendous. It sweeps the floor or what…heh.heh..

Btw, I love my NARS Multiples. The problem with them is I never finish using them!! So, I’ll have to pass on this. 😀

HAHA! I could use it to dust my dresser? 😉 I can’t use Nars Multiples – too shiny 😛 But you’re right. They never ever finish
