If you are following my Twitter statuses, I overheard something this morning while I was kicking my heels waiting around, that amused me so much I had to Tweet it:-
Overheard: women are like ginger – older they get the spicier lol! Thots? about 6 hours ago
Teehee… not only content with pondering about this, I pondered too on the words “Cosmetic Water” in the Definite Cosmetics Hydra Swiss Spa Cosmetic Water. I was a little puzzled when I first tried it. It did not feel like water. The lotion is light and milky looking and viscous when poured out. It wasn’t quite cosmetics too. But what it is is a moisturizing lotion that soothes the skin and helps control inflammation and sebum.
The new Hydra Swiss Spa Cosmetic Water from Definite Cosmetics is this lotion that I’m referring to. I used this for about a month previously as a toner or after toner and I did like the effect it had on my skin. It was light, absorbed quickly without feeling sticky and helped keep my skin moist.
Definite Cosmetics says that this water helps diminish pore size and control sebum and oiliness too. I can’t quite attest to the pore size reduction because I’m already using a whole host of other products targeted at that. I do know that my foundation slides on more easily and smoother, and I found my T-zone less oily during the day. I did not shine like a beacon in the light so that is a good thing 😛
The reason I stopped using this is because I took it with me on a work trip to Penang and left in the hotel! Ah clever me – some random housekeeper in the hotel is now walking around with nice smooth skin thanks to my carelessness 😛
You don’t use much – its very viscous and spreads easily. I used it instead of or after toner in the morning and evening. Used in the morning, I found that it helped act as a nice base too so my makeup goes on looking just a little better even without using makeup base 😀
Recommended for all skin types a 100ml bottle of Definite Cosmetics Hydra Swiss Spa Cosmetic Water retails for RM158 for 100ml and is available at all Definite Cosmetics counters at Parkson, Aeon Tebrau JB and Asian Avenue Sunway Pyramid.
Pros: Light texture absorbs quickly, Skin feels smooth and moisturized, Skin felt less oily, Makes a nice base for makeup
Cons: Fragrance is a little strong (flowery) and might bug some
Aside: It might interest you to know that by the time you read my skincare reviews, its already 4-6 weeks down the road and I’m already moving on to something else (unless I’m seriously loving it) or its been handed over to my lucky sister or mum who finish things up faster than I ever can! 🙂
So! Any thoughts on my Tweet above? Or do you have a quotation of your own to share? 😀
Stay beautiful,
Paris B
Oooh – kinda pricey! 🙁
tats true…the older the women, the hotter they get…
I’m lame cuz I have a very corrupted mind :p
sebum control is not for me, unfortunately 🙁
Ouch. I hate it when I leave something in a hotel – esp something I like!
ooo… read abt this product in the papers… I hate leaving things in the hotel… sighs… my cousin once left her teddy bear in the hotel and had to get them to post it back… lucky it was only in Thailand….
For oiliness? My skin has been getting super oily lately because I used Erythroderm (erythromycin) to get rid of pimples… the side effect- oiliness… sighs…
