Giorgio Armani Silk Lipstick #9
I featured the Giorgio Armani Shine lipstick in #4 yesterday which is one I really like. I’m told that the GA Silk Lipstick in #9 is their bestselling colour and bestselling lipstick however.
I can see why because its such a user-friendly colour. Nothing bright red which scares many, like the lipsticks I had been featuring at the start of this series but a wearable light pink with silver shimmer that appeals to many.
The etching of the Giorgio Armani logo on the side of the lipstick certainly adds the glam factor. Its reminiscent of Chanel Rouge Allure lipsticks with the Chanel name etched on it – a sure way to let onlookers know just what lipstick you are using 😉
Giorgio Armani Silk lipstick #9 is a light pink with silver shimmer. I was a little worried at first that it might go on too pale for me. It wasn’t quite pale but it was a little cool so I can’t quite say its my perfect colour. However clearly many people like it for it to be their bestseller!
On my lips, the colour is slight pink only. I can layer it on more to make it pinker but I prefer not to. The silver shimmer makes your lips look shiny and when the colour is gone, the silver bits do remain. When that happens, I slick on a layer of light gloss and we’re back in business!
I’d wear this sort of frosty pink with light pastel makeup. Anything heavy can put me in drag queen territory LOL…
Texture-wise, the lipstick is smooth and creamy gliding on like silk. Giorgio Armani utilizes micro-silk in its cosmetics and it feels weightless on your lips. No scent, no heavy waxy feel, nothing but pure luxury.
Each lipstick at Giorgio Armani retails for RM88 at Giorgio Armani cosmetics counters at Isetan KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. At one time, I’d have balked at the price. Today, its become competitively priced all things and brands considered.

I sorta remember seeing your stash of lippies many years back, the night before we attended Y’s wedding. I remembered thinking, “What on earth is she going to do with them?” I think I have my answer now. :))
