Day 2: NYX Black Label Lipstick – Opium

June 2, 2009 Paris B 20 Comments

Day 2 of the 30 lipsticks in 30 days Project features another red lippie!

NYX Black Label lipstick – Opium

Opium is one of my favourite warm red lipsticks. Just like opium the drug, Opium  the colour is intoxicating and a delight to my senses, adding a shot of color to an otherwise neutral look.

NYX Black Label Opium

I pair Opium with neutral coloured eyeshadow and lots of black eyeliner and mascara. When the day is dull and dreary or when I’m feeling down Opium cheers me right up <- didn’t quite sound right eh? 😛

You can’t beat the glamourous feel of a red lipstick and you can’t help but smile when you look at yourself in the mirror 🙂

NYX Opium swatch

NYX Black Label lipsticks are US$7 and are not available in Malaysia but are available from various online sellers. I’m unsure if they are available in Singapore. You can see a more indepth review and some other swatches in my previous NYX lipstick review.

Watch out for a brand pick of Lancome L’Absolu Rouge lipstick tomorrow!

Stay beautiful,

Paris B

Hi Paris. Just like you, sometimes I put bright lipcolor to brighten my day.

Or at least the lips are brighter 😀

very nice red! I’ve never tried NYX’s Black Labels but LOVE their Round lipsticks 😀

Some makeup schools carry NYX products for sale to students but they’re way overpriced! The round lipsticks are about RM40 >.<

      Hi Connie

I’m playing with their round lipstick as we speak! Perhaps it’ll make an appearance 🙂 They shouldn’t jack up the NYX prices – its a great product but its only really great for the price I feel.

      Hi a.min

NYX is available at some Guardian stores in Singapore. I saw it at Paragon I think but I think Singapore girls can confirm this better. Thanks!
